I'm having a problem reinstalling Windows XP.  After formatting the disk and create partitions, it will not complete the installation.  He goes back and reinstall Windows again.  I go through the installation of 39 minutes, the computer restarts to complete and it loops back and start the installation again. Why it does this and what I can do to move beyond this?

Go into the BIOS and make sure that you your hard drive is not set to off, and that is the first priority boot CD and your second HD.

Don't push when it restarts anything just to let him do what he does and report back if anything I'm sorry I have no idea.

Your Windows Xp disk is missing from the sata/raid drivers to detect the hard drive. This problem can be solved in two ways that I know.

First of all, you can slipstream the drivers in the creation of a new disk of Windows Xp disc. Second, you can enter your bios and disable the ahci.

I have a laptop of Dell XPS 15z with a new motherboard, after the old one fried. I'm trying to reinstall Windows 7 using the method of system recovery and resettlement of Dell DVD. I would like to get the "copy Windows files...". "step when an error that says:

What it means? I actually wanted to start from the DVD and remove the previous partitions to do a clean install, but now I'm afraid of. Is any way to fix this error?

    Thank you!!

    Hello Jeannette,

    1. do you have the computer CAME pre-installed with the Windows operating system?

    2. using a system recovery disk or an installation disc?

This problem may occur if the files in the installation disk is corrupted. However, I'd suggest the link and try to manually reinstall Windows 7 on the computer:

  • I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro after a hard disk crash. Sent product key Microsoft form with the Windows disk is invalid.

Some time ago I bought a computer with Windows XP pre-installed.  I have not received a CD with it.  At one point, during an update Windows online, I learned that the copy of Windows was not authentic, and the place I bought it from was out of business.  I then bought Windows XP Pro Microsoft online and went through the update of product with the Windows product key update tool and ran OK from there.
Well, my HDD recently crashed, and I started to install the Windows XP Pro purchased CD on a new hard drive.  The installation was asked to enter the 25-digit product key, I found that the unique product key sent with the CD has been a key 20 digits in this format; Product key: SKU:B7P - 00005 KEY01:xxxxx - xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-CD2.   (The x are just for the format).

What do need me do to be able to install my real purchased copy of Windows XP Pro?

The numbers you enter are not the product key. Contact Ms. online where you bought the CD or try some of the links below:

Why do you do this? It is almost always a mistake and often creates a lot of work and a lot of problems.

  • Satellite 1620CDS: how C to format and reinstall Windows 98se

    Hello
I have an old machine to 1620CDS and after several years of inactivity, I tried to use it again, but Windows did not start to the top at all. So I used the Toshiba product recovery disc and need to re - format disks before you reinstall Windows.

However, during the formatting process, I have this message: 'type of media not valid reading drive C, terminated format' so I shut down the computer using the power button / stop and tried again, but the result was exactly the same. What it means?

HARD drive somehow corrupted or there is an error on the recovery disk?

Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

It is a simpler method to format the HARD drive.
After booting from the floppy in the BACK, you can try this command:
    FDISK/MBR

But if you don t know if the HARD drive is bad or not to download the fitness test utility in the form of disk and check you the HARD disk.

  • ThinkPad G40 reinstall windows

I want to reinstall windows, what should I do?

Then I press the 'factory back to Settings' in the menu that I have after pressing "Access IBM" and I need a CD?

Or should I use a regular Windows XP installation CD (which I did not) and do like I always do, just reformat the entire disk?

Pressing F11 will be portable as the day it was everything you put on will be gone all updates from microsoft will have disappeared and no, you don't have the disks to do. Disks are stored on the hard drive that is if you can see the F11 option at startup. Restoration of disks can be purchased on Ebay, around IBM aroun $50 or $25.

  • Reinstall Windows 8.1 on the W3-810 Iconia

    Hello

I have some problems with my Acer Iconia W3 running Windows 8.1 retail. A malfunction of many functions of Windows. The Download Center Office gives weird and Windows errors tells me that my Microsoft account must be verified. I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 without the recovery partition, because I think that the Acer crap cause malfunction of the connection and the problems of SkyDrive. I am experienced in computer SCIENCE and I know what I'll do. I've already updated my UEFI version 1.07 (latest).

I intend to install Windows Enterprise 8.1 with a USB key. But I have never done this on a tablet before. Are there things I should know about? I mean the differences between installation 8.1 of Windows on an ordinary pc and Acer Iconia W3-810?

Another option is to reinstall Windows 8.1 kernel by using the function "All delete and reinstall Windows" in combination with the original DVD of Windows 8.1 retail x 86. I need the DVD because the function uses the files on the DVD to reinstall Windows 8.1.

I prefer the Windows Enterprise 8.1 option. Or do I have to use the recovery partition to revert to Windows 8 and upgrade to Windows 8.1?

Whatever you think I should do? My current installation does not work for me either.

    Managed relocation!

It was not very difficult. Also, you need a USB mouse but the touchscreen does not work when installing.

    Here are the steps:

    1. create a bootable USB drive that is compatible with the UEFI GPT partition table. You can do this by using the tool Rufus.

2 turn on the Tablet and when the Acer logo appears, press .

    3. use the mouse to access the start menu tab and adjust the boot sequence by moving the USB drive to the first entry.

    4. save the changes and the Tablet starts from the USB key.

    5. wait a few minutes to complete the USB boot.

    6. install Windows as you do on an ordinary pc. CAUTION: DO NOT DELETE THE PARTITION ON THE SSD! Only, you must format the Windows partition and select this partition to install Windows. DO NOT REMOVE OR EDIT OTHER PARTITIONS! They are necessary for recovery and UEFI support.

7 activate Windows with your license.

8 install the drivers to download them from the support site. For the current drivers, click here (February 11, 2014): click on! Unzip the file that is stored in the zip file. Install all the drivers at the same time by running the installation file. Restart the tablet to make the changes take effect. Give the tablet a few minutes to restart.

9 install updates you that Windows Update offers.

    Fact!

My tablet now works like a charm! I won 6 GB of free space. I have 16 GB of free space now instead of 10 GB(32 GB version). The Tablet is also much faster and it reacts much more quickly! Bedbugs have also disappeared.

    My problem is solved!

  • I can't reinstall windows xp

I wanted to reinstall windows on my computer, but the disk that came with it was no windows on it. then I found the i386 folder and run winnt32.exe and began to reinstall this way but he gave me the blue screen of death. so I googled the error message and discovered that I need the driver SATA for my hard drive. so I put on a floppy disk and tried to run the installer, but kept bios freeze during the initialization of the disk. Finally I was able to start by pressing escapeand then it deleted the old installation and then as he began to copy files it says that the cd has been corrupted. I'm not even install from a cd. then I ran chkdsk from the recovery console and it says that it found errors. then when I restarted the bios keeps freezing when the floppy usb drive is plugged without worrying if the diskette is in the drive or not. and by pressing the ESC key does not like before fixed.

You have two options. You can disable the ahci in the bios or you can integrate the drivers into the Windows Xp disc using Nlite. "Slipstreaming" would probably be you best option since you already have the sata/raid drivers. If your Windows drive is not sp3 you can wake in the disc as well.
