What is the codec used for recording? Just preset to save your time in parameter. If you are not sure, do not use a preset. You import clips into the body and then drag one of your clip on the icon of the new sequence (small icon at the bottom of the list of clips), it will create the sequence according to the format of your video.

  • What sequence preset is best for me?

Hey, I don't know what when preset with the best for me is to get the best quality.

I use "Fraps" to record stuff from my computer.

    I use a LED Tv 42 '' with the resolution: 1920 x 1080.

Also, I tried to use the DV PAL sequence preset, but then the quality was really bad and it didn't fit in the window of this show the clip you edit it (I don't know the name of the small window)

I would be really happy if you could help me with this question.

    Best regards Philip

A preset of 1080 p AVCHD would work fine, depending on the framerate fraps record to 60i/50i (25 or 30 fps).

  • what need parameter should be ignored for creating table in LMT

    Hi all

I have locally managed tablespace (LMT) with the type of ventilation SYSTEM and segment_space_management is AUTOMATIC. My database is Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bi.

    I have for example:

    create table (ID)
    PCTFREE 5
    INITTRANS 2
    STORAGE (Initial...).

Oracle documnetation, I found that it is recommended to omit the storage clause when you use LMT.

I want to know, I do also omit PCTFREE 5, INITTRANS 2 of the create table statement?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Dear spur230,

Yes, you can omit these parameters either.

    Here's the answer to your question;

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/tspaces.htm#sthref1153

    +"+
    * + Creating a locally managed Tablespace + *.

+ Create a locally managed tablespace by specifying IN clause of the CREATE TABLESPACE statement SCOPE MANAGEMENT. This is the default value for new permanent storage space, but you must specify the EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL clause if you want to specify the AUTOALLOCATE or the UNIFORM clause. You can have the database to manage extensions for you automatically with the clause AUTOALLOCATE (default), or you can specify that the tablespace is managed with uniform extents of a specific size (UNIFORM). +

+ If you plan the tablespace contains objects of various sizes, requiring many scopes with different sizes, then AUTOALLOCATE is the best choice. AUTOALLOCATE is also a good choice if it is not important for you to have a lot of control over the allocation of space and the deallocation, because it simplifies the management of the table space. A space may be wasted with this parameter, but the advantage of having the Oracle database manage your space probably outweigh this disadvantage. +

+ If you want exact control on unused space, and you can predict exactly the space to allocate for an object or objects and the number and size of extensions, and then UNIFORM is a good choice. This setting ensures that you will never have the unusable space in your tablespace. +

    * + When you do not explicitly specify the type of management, database Oracle determines management extended as follows: + *.

+ * _If the CREATE TABLESPACE statement omits the DEFAULT storage clause, then the database creates a locally managed tablespace autoallocated. _ +
+ * _If the CREATE TABLESPACE statement includes a default storage clause, then the database considers the following: _ +.
+ O _If you specified AS MINIMUM clause, the database evaluates if MEASURE MINIMUM values, INITIAL, FOLLOWING are equal, and the value for PCTINCREASE is 0. If so, the database creates a locally managed tablespace uniform with size = INITIAL measurement. If the parameters to MEASURE MINIMUM INITIAL and NEXT are not equal, otherwise PCTINCREASE is not 0, the database ignores storage extent parameters you specify and creates a locally managed tablespace autoallocated. _ +
+ o _If you have not specified a MEASURE MINIMUM clause, the database evaluates only if the values of storage are the same INITIAL and NEXT and PCTINCREASE is 0. If so, the tablespace is locally managed and uniform. Otherwise, the tablespace is locally managed and autoallocated. _ +

+ The following statement creates a managed tablespace locally named lmtbsb and specifies AUTOALLOCATE: +.

    + CREATE TABLESPACE lmtbsb DATAFILE ' / u02/oracle/data/lmtbsb01.dbf' SIZE 50 +.
+ EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL AUTOALLOCATE; +

+ AUTOALLOCATE causes tablespace system managed with a volume of minimum extent of 64K. +

+ The alternative to AUTOALLOCATE is UNIFORM. who says that the tablespace is managed with uniform size extents. You can specify the size of the uniform SIZE clause. If you omit the SIZE, the default size is 1 M. +

+ The following example creates a tablespace with uniform extents of 128 K. (In a database with 2 K blocks, each would amount to 64 blocks of data). Each measure 128K is represented by a bit in the bitmap extent for this file. +

    + CREATE TABLESPACE lmtbsb DATAFILE ' / u02/oracle/data/lmtbsb01.dbf' SIZE 50 +.
+ EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 128K; +

+ You can not specify the storage, TEMPORARY or MEASURE MINIMUM clause by DEFAULT when you explicitly specify EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL. If you want to create a locally managed temporary tablespace, use the statement to CREATE a TEMPORARY TABLESPACE. +
    +"+

    Hope that helps.

  • I understand no drivers... What part of the system they are assiociated with? I heard that they can be updated for best results. Is there a download that will do it? I'm under XP IE, windows 8

I would like to fix? Drivers

Drivers are software special low level designed to help an XP, Vista, Windows 7 operating system to communicate with the motherboard (hardware on your computer). There are drivers for Audio, network (Internet), USB, a laptop built in camera, Touchpad, etc..

If Windows has not built in the driver (usually indicated by a? in Device Manager), you must download and install the appropriate driver from the web site of the manufacturer of the computer.

A driver update is usually released and made available for the following reasons.

    (1) to correct a software bug.

    (2) to support a newer version of Windows (Windows 8 for example).

    (3) graphics card device drivers are generally the most frequently updated of all drivers, mainly to improve performance for games, but also when a new version of Windows is released.

I usually do not update my drivers so I have no problems with the ones I already installed, it is because sometimes a newer driver may fix a problem while creating another.

  • Need help! Re: Sequence Presets understanding & settings + using multiple sequences!

Hi, I'm newer to Premiere Pro (using the new version of Pro obtained in March 2010 on a PC) and watched all the tutorials (lots of video) and read a LOT about the subject! And I have answered several questions about mine. But there is one main thing (that I'll probably have to divide it into 2 or more questions) that I just got a complete knowledge & really your expert need help on!

Thank you very, VERY MUCH! Really...

I have designed/product audio (music) for a while now and when you start a new session just, you select your sample rate & are locked in for the most part therefore... Pretty simple... Now with Pro, when you start your new session, you choose your Preset sequence. Now for this first project, a video clip (3 minutes), the audio is done (as I said) and for the clip, we use images from several sources including: maybe 55% compared with a mini-camera DV, 40% of the .vob files right & the remaining 5% of some mpeg files + a few YouTube videos (we only have it our preserved images of front on YouTube) + some JPEGs (still images). And we plan to export the final video on YouTube and the internet. And we want also ready to be broadcast on both television (MTV, some media, shows, etc.). And Yes, we will also use it on cell phones (even if it is the least important right now). So 3 main exports (which I believe are all made at the end through media encoder).

    • But to choose the right Preset sequence at the beginning, I am confused, unfortunately.   I

Believe you choose the one that best fits to of your assets sizes & frame rate [in this case, which is a camera film regular DV; & mediainfo said the .vob file = 720 x 480 (4:3) to 29.970 fps MPEG video (NTSC), one of the shots (of our) YouTube = 480 x 270 (16:9) at 29.970 fps STROKE, a MPEG = 352 x 288 (4:3) at 25.000 fps and 2 examples of jpeg = 300 x 400 (size = 57 KB)] and another = 720 x 450 (size = 100 KB)]. So if I am wrong in my assumption on the choice of a pre-defined sequence just on the best corresponds to the your assets rates & sizes, I would choose (I think): DV-NTSC Standard 48 kHz (the 48 just to 41 over our audio sampling frequency).

And if all goes well, it is excellent for our export needs YouTube at the end of the process the video & tv as well!

    .. . Is this correct?

Can I choose the predefined sequence that best matches most of the sizes/frame rate of your assets?

    * And ESPECIALLY... is CE Preset of the sequence is the BEST for this current music video (based on the sources of our assets & where it will be considered when it is finished - mainly of YouTube, & also some TV [for media and broadcasting] - probably on a DVD, I guess)?

Or I'm wrong, & it (your Preset Sequence) depends on your final product & the output?

My friend (who admits that he is no expert in some way) explained that I would probably go with HDV 1080 p 30 as this will give a much better value for my release. But after he saw the results in Pro with this setting for my property, he agrees with MY above conclusion instead.

When you use the DV - NTSC Standard 48 kHz preset, I saw the asset in the Source monitor Panel (& then dragged the clips to the timeline) & seen in the finale of "Project Monitor" (I think it is called). And they looked decent in this final screen (where I'll crop & use some shared screens sometimes).

And when I used his suggestion of 1080 p HDV 30, assets looked ok in the Source monitor Panel (I think), but very little in the final project monitor.

    • And led me to another big question - when you use the jpeg format which is 1280 x 960 e.g. (largest

as the previous ones) in the Standard DV NTSC 48 kHz preset, happening in the Source monitor. But when you drag it down to the timeline and view it in the program monitor, the head was cut off, etc. and of course, when you use instead the HDV 1080 p 30 preset, as larger jpeg even adapt very well in the in the program monitor. Now, I understand that this is because the size of the frame (dimensions) close match those of the HDV preset. I get it. What none of us got was however WHY in the DV - NTSC Standard 48 kHz preset, he looks very well in the Source monitor Panel (but not in the program monitor)? (The two were simply put to 'Fit'). We thought he not would not have looked at well & fit fine and complete source of follow-up at first - but that's the difference between this largest jpeg display when it is displayed in two different monitors that really confused us!

    • And the final main confusion on this topic lies in something, that a technician in Adobe, tell us, informing that

We can create multiple sequences. Now, I saw How to do this in the project Panel, but it's really the full understanding of the workings that we don't get. The tech said: "each sequence MUST have the good frame rates, sizes of images." Ok, you understand - understood. And he said: we can be: convert the size of the image (of this large jpeg example, say reducing) to match the predefined video frame size. But in this way, we would lose the quality (jpeg - assets). And he says: - or - you CAN use multiple sequences for different sources & when everything is completed (the whole video), I just export it them all as a single project! And I have that a sequence may be getting the DV preset (with the heights of these assets corresponding closely to this preset) and another sequence (in the same project) can be the HDV preset (with the heights of remaining assets corresponds closely to the preset instead). , But he couldn't explain was: how you can view your entire music video (3 minutes) in its entirety in Pro. It seems that when you choose a 2nd sequence, it obviously creates on the timeline, and assets that you put in the 1st (DV) timeline is completely separate from the 2nd (HDV) timeline. And you get no display either at the same time (because they are distinct sequences).

    So... is this true?

Are we supposed to use multiple sequences within our project to clip one of the assets with a higher (or other) image size/rate?

And you export sequences as a final clip?

And if so, HOW the world watch you your video chats (in the monitor of the project with all of your changes - as you change) when you use more than one sequence?

Sorry, it seems quite stretched out, but I want to answer your questions you can in turn have for me & be clear so I can finally receive clarity on this topic!

I know it's much, but if you could address all of the above questions (more background or discussion - is but a handful of issues in there), you have my gratitude... we were afraid to start the part of the video of this project is NOT know what sequence preset start with (as "we don't want to be locked into the wrong choice & waste weeks of editing), let alone a good understanding of the 'why' or the ramifications!

Thank you so very, very well... You have no idea how...

Rendering is done on a basis as needed. If we do a complex animation with keyframes, or if they have odd source files, they could do. For keyframe animations, I could make this section of the timeline of a dozen or more times. Otherwise, maybe not.

Rendering is the production of AV files, just for reading. They take a lot of space and will take a while. It's one of the reasons that a Publisher must familiarize themselves with the WAB (work area bar), so that they do things like rendering for all what they might need. Tip: remember to put this back to the full timeline.

    Good luck

  • How to choose a database schema to use for a file of sequence?

I have several database schemas on my TestStand system, and when I select a movie file that I need to position the schema for the results entered into the database correctly.
I use a SequenceFileCallback for DatabaseOptions in my file of sequence and in that, I set Parameters.DatabaseOptions.DatabaseSchema.Name = 'xyz', where xyz is the name of database schema to be used. It does not, and it reports an error that it cannot be loaded or the file is maybe damaged. This feature works, or should I just a mistake in what I put this equal to?

Evan... It turns out that your last point: 'Make sure you use quotation marks around the name of schema, no simple markings as in your message.', has solved the problem. Funny it did not report a single error with the brands. Thanks for the quick response! PLF

  • Animation - what Illustrator, I should use?

I have Illustrator as part of master CS6, I bought for InDesign, Photoshop, and first. While using the first, I had to draw regularly on yet and Adobe After Effects, Audition, but I have yet to open Illustrator. I hope someone here can save me time advised me if Illustrator is suitable for my purposes. I'm not a professional, just a passionate amateur, but I don't want to use software quality and the equipment to do the best job that I can.

    Background

I use first mainly to convert my audio-visual presentations to the HD format. In the 1980s, I was just in slideshows of three screens. It will be a challenge to transform a 4.5:1 16:9 format, but as my partner says it will keep me out of mischief. As part of the transformation, I will be the introduction of a small number of video clips (where my need of creation) and also short animation sequences, probably 10 seconds maximum. I have little idea of what software to use for the animation, but all the software in my collection of what Adobe illustrator seems at least to have the right name, so here I am.

    A few thoughts

I have a friend, Steve, a watercolor and sketch artist, and he's very anxious to get into the animation. Showed me a few short films he did on his iPad with his finger. I told him: 'we can do better than that. " My idea is:

    1. Buy a Wacom Cintiq 22HD with all the fancy pens, plug it into an iMac and open the appropriate software.
    2. Sit Steve in front of the Cintiq and let it go.
    3. Steve wields the pen to generate the outline of the first image. No coloring in, not background at this point, just a "test in pencil" kind of thing. Something like the sketches of Chuck Jones for a Road Runner cartoon, except best (I can dream, I can't?)
    4. Steve could generate 24 fps for smooth movement, but we could decide to take only 12 (or 8) per second and software have interpolated for missing executives - if possible.
    5. When we are satisfied by the "pencil test", the background and coloring are made.
    6. When finished, the project is imported to the Prime Minister to be part of the audiovisual sector.

    Illustrator or something else?

Illustrator is suitable for what we want to do? If this is not the case, what would be the most suitable software? We won't make things complicated as the 3D animations, simple - a character in motion in a context that may also be moving.

Illustrator is not suitable for it.

According to the style of the last animation, you can use illustrator to build assets to animate in another program like flash. but of the adobe family, flash is what you are looking for.

I haven't used in a while so I don't know how the sketch is good about it. will touch you with vectors so there not all the charm of a pencil test. but there skins chronologies and onion and twin animated for animations of transformation as something that cross the screen, rotation, morphing, etc. scaling.

Flash animations tend to look very steep in my opinion. the best example I can think of a flash animation, which is not without a soul would be 2d sequences in kung fu panda.

There are programs that are better suited for traditional animation (at least in sensation). Totally forgot that I used at school. I mean flipbook. anyway. for pencil tests in my opinion really improtant is the drawing of the sensation. There are a lot of animation 2d there software but they are for the most part any vector and offer not bitmap of good drawing tools.

at school, we used to draw on paper and photography. Some people spent about things like toon boom, which I do not remember if it is the only vector drawing.

I chose to photoshop which is very heavy for animation because of the configuration, but fantastic for natural drawing. everyone in class thought I hosted with pencils and markers of China.

I say that the configuration is painful because your executives are about layers. If you find yourself with hundreds of layers. I then changed the opacity of my layers of onion.  the timeline was also a pain because you really do a bit of math to get the right images per second. I ended up losing a few images in the final product. as you build your layers, the preview of the animation slows down.

anyway. My 2 cents. FlipBook has bitmap drawing tools such as photoshop, but as I remember, they were not that great. It also allows access to photoshop to draw you into photoshop and updates of fram inside flipbook. It would have been ideal, but at the time, it kept crashing on me when I tried it. I don't know if they fixed.

  • What type of file to use for editing

Recently, I filmed a school show to create DVDs for parents. I use 9 before editing. I understand that the output for the film should be MPEG2 for DVD. We used three different cameras (I know it's a bad thing to do with before), but we used what we have available. However, we used a Hero2 GoPro mounted on the piano to give a unique perspective. Therefore, I need to convert the video files to a common format for editing. Y at - it a 'best' file format to edit or y at - it a file format which is easier to work with Premiere Elements while maintaining the best quality for the DVD release?

    Here's what we used:

1 camera (with the audio track of the soundcard) was a Canon Vixia HF300. It has exported to the dreaded .mts format (half of the show to 24mbps) and the other half to 17mbps

    2 camera was a Nikon 5100 files .mov, 1920 x 1080, H.264, linear PCM, Total 19 k sampling rate

    Camera 3 was a GoPro Hero saved 2 .mp4 1280 x 780 H.264 Total bit rate 15 k

As the proportions are not equivalent, I intend using black bars as opposed to culture.

I'm editting on a MacBookPro Apple 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8 GB of RAM running OS x 10.7

Also, should I use Quicktime to convert these files in the common format I choose? Ironically, all these images can be changed in iMovie, iMovie is horrible for several cameras.

    Thank you

    Ed

I thought I would answer back with the final result. It always bothers me when people say how they have solved a problem.

Unfortunately, this question consumed too much time. I hunt around and try all these converters shareware without result. On a lark, I tried the demo version of Final Cut Pro X, after all, I tried everthing else. FCP X imported not only all files without problem, but it modifies them without having to convert them into a common format. The time saved will easily cover the price tag of $300.

I admit it, I was pushing the limitations of the pre 9 using different files for the same multicam project formats. Probably should have started with FCP since the beginning.

    Thanks again for your help!
