If the computer reset to the system restore factory by mistake, a way to recover photos, files, etc.?
Computer did not start and made a recovery to original factory restore mistakenly Manager, now there is no date prior to restore. A way to retrieve all the files, tons of photos, movies, etc.?
Hello Tonyperez1,
The idea of restoring back to factory conditions is completely clear what is already on the hard drive and replace it with a blank copy of the original image of the operating system.
During this restore the "factory copy" completely crushes everything on the hard drive. When a file is deleted, it is important to immediately stop using the PC and try to restore the deleted file.
Once you begin to write the files too much the chances of recovery are greatly reduced. The chances of you being able to recover these files are very low. If they were stored on a separate partition, you could try to recover that partition with the help of specialized software. However, in this case, the partition is the one with the operating system on which it is difficult.
To be honest, you need specialized help and who, unfortunately, costs a lot of money. In this case the hard disk must be removed from the PC and dismantled or placed in another machine where you could try sophisticated recovery software retrieves files. If these files will be recovered are another matter.

I am running Windows 7 for packs SP 1 or SP 2 does NOT solve my problem since neither one works with Windows 7. Is there a way to search for this MUI (Multiple User Interface) missing file? The every thing must have himself installed in the first place. I took my mom (she died in June) and my brother on this PC as users so even if they do not use this PC supports multiple users. Maybe if I deleted as a reboot and additional users it will solve my problems. My updates install OK but I can't run at all system restore. It creates a restoration point OK but when I try to sr back to a restore point before I get the error 0x80073AFC topic of the missing MUI file. Then, when I spear SR it is said that he could not and no files have been changed because of the error 0x8000FFFF error, unspecified catastrophic failure and could not retrieve the file several times when system restore is attempted.

Comcast of Norton Security Suite version is installed? If Yes, who and perhaps malware is most likely to cause questions you have published, in particular the failure of the restoration of the system.
First, configure the system to boot - How to solve a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Open Control Panel > Windows Firewall to make sure that the native firewall of Windows 7 is now on.Download and Save the update system (or CheckSUR) tool. You will need to download the specific Version of CheckSUR corresponding to the architecture of the system to Windows 7. Secondly, I suggest that you run the File Checker system while in the same clean boot state.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:- Click Start and type cmd in the field search programs and files .

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problems facing the system have been resolved.
If they are not, you will need to contact Norton support for the version of Norton Internet Security Comcast to get help, or just uninstall NIS, run the Norton removal tool (right click Norton_Removal_Tool.exe, choose "Run as Administrator"), reboot and then check to see if the problems are still occurring.

I restored my system to today to get some photos, but the file did not appear - how recover them - I didn't do a back-up
Hello
"I restored the system to today."
What do you mean by that?
You use the system restore to put the settings of the computer to an earlier Date, doesn't not to hand over to today.
System restore only "puts away" remove photos.
It has nothing to do with the data files.
And if you mean the system recovery to factory (like new) settings, which erases the hard drive clean of everything.
Regardless of how you spent, try this free program to recover:

Hello
All of my documents and photos are missing after a system restore. Here's the story. A virus called "Windows Recovery" popped up earlier and I did a system restore to get rid of him. To restart the computer, all my files and photos were missing. I used the system restore in the past in similar situations and have never had any problems. I opened MS Office, and I found some documents in the recent documents list. They open up fine and I saved them, but is only some of the documents. I can find the files in my documents when I do a search on them, but they are empty, when I open them. I also find some pictures and documents when I do a search for them by name, but I remember only a few file names, so I can't retrieve many files this way.Can someone help me out here? Thank you

I chose to try the upgrade of Windows 10 on my laptop primary. Because of the long installation times, I started late in the evening then followed finishing (or almost) the update the next morning. Until I sat down to 'start' I spoke with a friend who had just completed an installation of two heavy day of problems. Although I am good enough to solve computer OS and software installation problems, I was very reluctant to go forward. After serious soul searching I elected continue to use Windows 7, I don't really like.
That's why I chose to use the system restore before restarting my computer needed complete Windows Update 10. I chose the previous restore point before the update of windows 10 and ran through the entire procedure and then restarted the computer after the restore point.
Everything worked fine and I was able to do the foregoing... Except that I can't do updates of security that have been uninstalled. The Windows Update screen repeat "you must restart your computer...". "with the reboot by holding the active button.
This window doesn't go away even after reboot, and I can not "check for Updates".
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reset this program if I can do all the updates except Windows 10 security.
Thank you for any assistance.
By using the system restore before computer restart after updating Windows 10...
Sorry, System Restore does not cancel the major updates, that's why a lot of automatic updates delete all system restore points. The tool that is appropriate in this case would be a restore Image. If you have not created an image before the upgrade, then you are out of luck.

A Virus infect my computer from the system restore?
My computer has been infected recently by (I think) a kind of malware that would be redirecting My search Google results (with a warning of Google chrome that the site had a low signature) and remove Windows Defender. I tried many possible solutions on the internet, but none of them worked. In the end, I decided to do a system restore to about two days before, he started, and my computer seems to work very well.
After the restoration of the system, I installed AVG Antivirus (paid version / pro) and did a full scan of the computer. I think he deleted something like that harmful things we found on my computer. Now, three days after the system restore, I've read a few articles and questions on the internet that says a system restore does not remove a virus and that she could hide in the system restore files. I don't know if this is related, but some sites will not load for me (like 'wiiublog' and 'malwarebytes' Web sites), and when I check on another site (like 'downforeveryoneorjustme'), he says that the Web sites are on the rise. In addition, some Web sites load with just the words and links, but no images. The virus infect my computer in system restore files? It still does damage to my computer? If so, is there something I need to check my files system restore (I read that you need to turn off and do another scan, but I don't want to do anything without first aid)?I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.I also Iobit Advanced Systemcare running. On Wednesday, May 9, 2012 23:09:41 + 0000, bt2004 wrote:

In my opinion, AVG, who was one of the best anti-virus programs
is no longer. There are several better choices:For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32 or Kaspersky, if you
are willing to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend
(do not run more than one antivirus program) one of the following
three:
Avira AntiVir
Avast
Microsoft Security Essentials
You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program such as)
Microsoft Security Essentials, with integrated anti-spyware capability
It). I recommend that you download and install MalwareBytes (freeware)
AntiMalwareNow, three days after the system restore, I've read a few articles and questions on the internet that says a system restore does not remove a virus and that she could hide in the system restore files.
An infection in a restore point is completely harmless, unless you
restore from this restore point.
The only way to remove the virus is to turn off System Restore, then again, but who's going to delete all the your restore points, not just the one (s) infected. Alternatively, you can just wait for the points that are infected at the end of the chain - a maximum of 90 days of fall.
My preference is to wait 90 days.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

Pavilion 2000: Using the system restore
I used the system restore in the past and I know it took a few hours to complete with good results, as it eliminated the problem. Last week, I used the restoration of the system, the screen turned blue and the restoration began however this continued for more than 3 days! I was unable to use my laptop for so long. I saw a blue screen with an icon swirling in the Center. Miraculously, the day 4, he came back to life, but immediately began to update the apps I had checked to only not to do. It took an extra day. Actually, now it's back to normal. I am now afraid to use the restoration of the system again. What I've done wrong?
Hello
Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.
Could you provide your full computer model - information can be seen from the service tag sticker > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Miscellaneous-Topics-Read-Only/Advice-for-asking-the-quot-Very-Best-Question-quot/td-p/83280 ?
Could you confirm your OS - is this Windows 8/8.1 now?
I see your previous thread in the attempt to upgrade to W10...
I'm not sure about what you were wrong (if anything), but
System Restore is a feature of Windows that usually takes minutes (30 minutes max) in full, not hours, not days. It restores the Windows registry, files/settings of the system to a previous state and is generally quick.
Do you mean the system recovery or system reset/refresh?
These are different things. These restore original Windows or format partitions on HARD drive - it can take an hour or 2-3 max but not days.
If these (especially system restore) lasts days, there is indeed something wrong with the operating system.
Looking forward to your confirmations.
