Noise humming in my headphones problem

Original title: humming noise problem

Salvation for months I had a strange humming noise coming from my helmet from time to time and its so frustrating because I tried to change the card incase its that I tried to update the drivers of sound and there all day as well as my graphics card and this is not help please do not what I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

It is also quite possible that your problem is not software partner. PC produce a lot of electrical interference and this could be the cause. It can be difficult and frustrating to contain, but to consider things such as:

-routing of the cables of electrical equipment and wiring headset;

-turn off all but the bare minimum of electrical devices nearby;

-try (borrow?) a pair of headphones which are armoured;

-l' use of a power conditioner on the power supply to the power supply of your PC (UM frequency - usually 50 or 60 Hz - associated you wall outlets transferred to the speakers is often audible).

  • Satellite M305D - built in microphone and headphone problem

    Hello everyone...

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite M305D - S4830. It came with Vista Home Premium x 64. However, I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate x 64 (commercial version). After you have installed all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba, I discovered two major issues:

    1. the headphones do not work. When I plug in, the laptop speakers are always on, play the sound/music. So to connect any type of headphones makes no difference. I should mention that the headphones were working with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

    2. the microphone does not work now. However, he has worked with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

I have to mention again once I installed all the official drivers from Toshiba Web site form. In addition, in Windows Device Manager does not list any problem. Windows seems to believe that everything works correctly.

Any help would be really appreciated, because I really want to use Vista Ultimate.

  • Yoga 2 Pro: plugged headphones problem

Alrighty, I have a lenovo yoga 2 pro and I recently noticed something really weird. Whenever I plug my headphones on one side (left side) will play the music louder than the other side. At first, I thought that it was my helmet but, I tried my helmet on my iPhone and it worked perfectly. Any suggestion guys? I'm 100% sure that my helmet is not broken. I tried with several other devices. Another thing, I noticed, (haha actually typing this out) when I unplug the headphones, it seems that the music I play comes mainly from the right side (right speaker). Suggestions or simply do I ship my Lenovo Yoga since it is still under warranty? Thank you guys!

  • No noise from the plug headphones

I have a Toshiba Satellite M205-S7452. The sound from the speakers work fine, but when I connect my headphone to the front audio output / headphone jack, the sound continues to come from the speakers (Nothing in the helmet). I tried to update my sound driver - says it is updated, I tried to make my helmet by default - did not a thing, I know that's not my headphones - they work on my ipod & other devices.

    Hello Alliey0,

You use standard stereo headphones or USB? If it is a set of USB headset, make sure that the drivers are installed and up-to-date and compatible with Microsoft Vista.

What happens when you do a right click on the element of speakers and choose Test? You'll hear a sound?

If you have third-party software to control your sound settings, you may check and check the settings there.

  • Headphone Jack, not to let the two devices at the same time - work Realtek problem - Dell Audio is unusable

A copy of my post TomsHardware, where no one was trying to help:

"To begin with, no thread any where online have solved my problem. My problem in the simplest possible terms:

-J' bought a Razer right headphone, it does not work when it is connected.

-J' spent the next 4 hours of downloading, re - download, install, uninstall and reinstall the Realtek drivers, because everybody says I had allow a setting or a related subcontractors as struggling separate devices or something, and I do not have the Realtek HD GUI; at least, I don't think so...

    - Then I discovered that Dell has decided to replace GUI from Realtek with "Dell Audio", which had two options, one of them being that it should even display settings or not.

-J' took a few steps in Dell Community site and spent the Realtek driver with the Microsoft driver, and that got the headset to work.

-My headset works fine, but the microphone is not yet detected.

What I have relevance: right Razer headphones + microphone detachable; Dell Inspiron 15 w / only, audio unified; each unique Realtek and Microsoft audio driver compatible with Windows 8.1.

What I don't have: the Realtek audio Manager.

What I wish I had not: Audio from Dell.

Someone please help me on this, because I have just fired over $100 for it, and I intend to use it for professional players and podcasting; no microphone is not cut it.

Sorry if I look really angry at the moment, but I think we've all been there...

    Thank you. »

The main issue: there is a definition of Realtek Audio Dell only exists to ban, I need to change that. I need to configure it to allow two different devices to use in the same decision, and Audio Dell replaced Realtek GUI with its own, which is pretty... Pretty useless. The two parameters, as there, one of them is "Show advanced settings", so congratulations to anyone who decided to do this monstrosity.

Every post that I found online said that the Realtek HD GUI is the way to go

Since you can't have the DD Realtek Audio Manager in a Dell, one wonders how they determined it was the answer.

Please provide another way to separate input devices that are entered into the same outlet

A headset devices are already separated in the properties. A helmet is an input device, microphone, which can be set as the default device in the properties (Control Panel > sound > recording tab > micro). It is for the internal microphone until an external microphone is connected. The other part of the headset, the headset is governed by sounds > playback > speakers. Who controls the speakers until the headphones or external speakers are connected.

    Inspiron 15 3542

Thank you. I wanted to know because a couple of the Realtek drivers have a problem with the headphones or the part headphones headphones. Headphones are recognized by their impedance detection and I think that some of the drivers have their settings come down a little, or too narrow. None of the Realtek for the Inspiron 3542 versions are known to be bad for me, but if you get audio in the headphones using the native driver but not as the pass of the Realtek driver then I feel that the fault is with the Realtek driver. You can see all the drivers that comes from Dell for your model in the Inspiron 15 3542 html page. There is audio for Win7, 8.1 and 10 pilots. "WB" means 8.1 and 'WT' 10. I think that there are 2 of each. Try the two for any operating system you have. (If you have10 which, in itself, could be the problem - other people have said they have started the headphone problems when they installed 10) You should not try to install an older version of the driver on a newer version. First remove the newest one in the control panel.

It befuddles me that Dell would give us a different GUI that has so few options

I don't know if Dell Realtek & made that choice for technical reasons or something. I think that some of the laptops did not have the Realtek Manager when Dell has started using Realtek as a supplier, but that changed. Of course no one is happy to have fewer options, but yours is the first post, I've seen that reported to the mic. Many other posters have been unhappy, because Dell's Audio Manager does not provide a way to separately control the volume of the headset which is a problem because they can be much too strong, but the real Realtek Manager has an option to display ' phones as a separate device from the speakers.

"and I used an adapter USB jack to try my usual Microsoft LifeChat headset).

Is an adapter USB jack of the same thing that the USB input audio in my previous screenshot? A usb plug avoids the problems of the Realtek combo decision-making because the USB does not use Realtek hardware or driver from Realtek. Headset LifeChat know either, but if they are a usb headset while they should work. USB audio devices are as separate sound cards - each device contains its own audio codec, even the small usb Jack. If a device usb audio does not work, it has nothing to do with the hardware, driver or Realtek Manager.

each response that I get from either Razer themselves or now these forums was condescending.

Your two posts today have assumptions that make it difficult to formulate a convincing answer, but I I don't think I'm condescending. I try to avoid the annoyances that we see in so many forums. However, they are your feelings and you have a right to them.

When I said to forget taking combo, I wasn't brushing off the problem, while recognizing that these mic combo jack issues are difficult, in large part because we can't use the native driver to test the Realtek driver, so we can't easily determine if it is a driver or a hardware problem. It is much simpler to use usb audio, but as I said I don't know what are the special features are required for your purposes of pod casting.

To me, it looks like a speaker (one or both) would start failures
If the crackling noise is not using headphones while this question must relate to speakers

Also the fact that this question no did not appear in the past would mean that it could be a problem of speaker

Maybe you should contact the ASP in your country in order to agree on a verification of the material (speaker) and replacement.

  • Aurora-R5, taken top/front audio input, noise, difficulty

Just bought Aurora-R5. Front Panel Audio Jack is static noise when a speaker/headphone is plugged. Also, I connected a Dell monitor with DP cable and the audio jack on which also has noise static.

Same thing here.  I called support and they sent a technician the next day to replace the Panel before jack/USB (high IO (input/output) support 5XMRX), which solves the problem.

(The Panel is between 1 and 2 in the image below).

  • Noise hiss/static of the helmet; speakers OK (precision M4800)

I have a precision M4800, bought mid-March.  A week ago, I wanted to watch a video educational work without disturbing my neighbors, so I tried to plug the headphones into the socket (as opposed using speakers).  Move the bad: the neighbors could hear the static electricity in the front headphones that I tried to play all of the sounds around them.  (Yes, the noise was loud.)

Usual volume controls that work for the speaker had no effect on this noise in the headphones.

Now I run FreeBSD (stable/10 and head) on this machine - I have no idea how to do anything intentional in a Microsoft environment.  I keep the original disc supplied with the machine, so I could re - install that, in view of the detailed, explicit instructions on exactly what to do.  (Note: I swapped the drive until I turned on the machine for the first time, so that the player is currently 'intact'.)  Note 2: I field replaced the card wireless network, as Broadcom WLAN cards are pretty useless, at least for FreeBSD.  I still have the original card; I don't know if the Microsoft environment awaits the Broadcom adapter or not; If so, who should probably be part of the instructions.)

I raised the issue on one of the FreeBSD.org mailing lists; an answering machine mentioned a similar experience. noted that the helmet he used was for a smart phone and keys for a microphone; When he used the controls (FreeBSD) to completely mitigate the mic, its noise ceased.  I tried... without result.  I also tried a regular cheap helmet that had no possible connection microphone; my symptoms persisted.

Then, I noted that it might be interesting to determine if noise persists even before the start of the OS, so I had headphones plugged during a reboot cycle: they are SILENT as the BONE end and started hissing again just in the middle of this section of the device probes:

The noise persists until the headphones are disconnected or restart the machine.

I found that the NVIDIA audio devices and RealTek are found by the kernel:

    pcm1: (game)
    mcp2: by default (play/REC/WAV)
    pcm3: (play/REC/WAV)
    G1-254(10.1-S)

I opened the machine up a little bit to see if there is something obviously wrong (for example, a wire loose), but I was not able to access this part of the material without indulging in a more invasive surgery than I care to do to a machine that is still under warranty.

At this point, just trying to determine if it is a hardware problem, or if I need "merely" encourage appropriate to a FreeBSD driver changes.

I ran FreeBSD on laptops since 2000, and I have never come across anything like this before.  (Portable computers were Dells in the last decade or so, more recently, a Precision M4400, which lasted approximately 7 years.)  I'll need to replace the laptop of my spouse soon enough so I would be able to get an another M4800 - but she'll want it runs FreeBSD, so, if this is going to be a problem, we will need to carefully assess and consider our options.

    http://downloads.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_precision_mobile/precision-m4800-workstation_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.PDF

This document is in fact a repair with detailed instructions on the replacement of components, including the hard drive, complete with illustrations. The manual can be viewed in a browser, but it works better if opened in a PDF reader.

The first time you run Windows, you must go through the initial setup - select the time zone & make some choices. It is explicit, because people of all levels of the end, but it might be helpful to have the assistance of a Windows user. For your probably no matter how you complete the Setup you want just finished start up. Windows prompts you to create the recovery media, whose goal is to be able to install the factory to a new disk configuration hard if the original one breaks down eventually.

Once the computer finishes booting in Windows, if you hear the noise, then it would be a hardware failure such as a bad guess. I don't think you need to do something more at this time, such as files audio performance or connect to the internet. If you do not connect to the internet, then Windows will want to download and install the updates that is not desirable for the purposes of tests, because the updates will change the factory setting. The factory setting is the default configuration in which the audio should work fine. There should be no need to try to adjust the audio controls or other tweaks to try to eliminate a very obvious noise as you have described.

On the Broadcom adapter, to win a stage I would first try with your current wireless card and ignore the error messages is they pop up. If you don't have the noise on Windows with your current card, assumed that the problem is in the configuration of FreeBSD. If you don't have the noise in Windows then put the Broadcom card back in to exclude from your new card as a factor. [In the past, wireless cards were an important source of noise issues, but not so much anymore, and to the best of my knowledge no would cause great noise in the helmet but not pregnant.]

The audio driver on the original hard drive will be a Realtek audio driver. There is a way to replace the native Windows audio driver Realtek driver and I can provide these instructions if you want.

If the problem is caused by hardware that Dell will fix it if you are still under warranty, but it will probably require your machine to have the initial hardware configuration before providing support. If is no longer under warranty, I suggest using an input jack simple usb audio for audio for headphones.

If you don't have the noise after Windows starts, then the assumption is that the problem exists only in your configuration of FreeBSD. I can't help you with that at all. Maybe someone on our operating system board would have an idea, but I'm not familiar with your operating system at 100%.

In the same sense I know not how or if the BIOS is for FreeBSD and if or not you need to update the BIOS. I have looked through the notes of all revisions of the BIOS for your model, but see no mention of patches of audio.

The Realtek's chip audio codec built-in on the motherboard - the main audio system. The nVidia would be the system audio HDMI - for audio that is sent to another device via the HDMI port. It is a subsystem of the system nVidia graphics.

    Hi there @jesum13,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions.

I read in your post on the HP Support Forums that you have a problem with sound when using a headset.

I found a document for you called HP PCs - resolving the headphones and headphone problems (Windows 8). This document is included troubleshooting to help you get the right sound from your laptop using headphones.

1 have you tried plugging a different set of headphones or external speakers to see if it's compatible?

    2. If you click your Volume icon while your headphones are in and you're on Facebook, play a video, is there a separate listed Volume control?

3 have you tried to use the HP Support Assistant to update all of your drivers?

    4. how speakers work without headphones on Facebook or Big Brother Live Feed?

Please follow these troubleshooting steps provided and re-post with information to the above questions, the results of any troubleshooting information, or brand new.

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!
