• Cannot install Illustrator CS4 trial or anyone else?

  I downloaded and installed Adobe PS, AE, DW and FL without problem.  But I recently tried to download trials Premeir Adobe and Adobe Illustrator and my computer locked up.  It would not start properly and I had to restore my computer to an earlier time.  After that, I was able to download the files from the trial, but when the installation bar reaches at the end it says that a component (program insertion CS4 here) could not install.  I tried several times to install again with other products and programs without any open.  Me having to restore my computer has anythign to do with it?

  Well, you made a mess! (don't take it personally) Most likely, the problem lies in the order in which you have installed. There is a complex network of interdependencies between Adobe components shared between programs and some that are fragile, to say the least, so it breaks down when you install tries to replace or update some of these components. There is a reason why there are a Master collection. You prefer bet at this point is to simply use CS4 Clean Utility from the support pages to unregister all files in the database installation, then just install programs that until now, you were not able to get on your system. You can repeat this after every installation or when something seems to have gone wrong, it really leaves intact programs. The only downside is that when you want to get rid of it, you need to manually remove all directories...

• How can I download my Illustrator CS4?

  Illustrator CS4, I bought directly from Adobe online; I never had a disc.  My hard drive went great-, I had to replace it.  Now I can't illustrator to run, and the link I used to get to the download site is no longer has a download link.  I don't mind buying software online. but I do not have a disk.  I don't want to have to buy an upgrade, just because my hard drive crashed, but by removing the link with my software, it seems they're trying to make me do.  I still have the serial number and it's a complete installation, not an upgrade.  Anyone know what I can do about it?

  I held off upgrading to El Capitan and currently still use Yosemite on a MBPro. Anyone using El Capitan on MBPro with:

  Photoshop CS4

  Illustrator CS4

  Excel 2008

  These are my main apps that I'm worried about compatibility with upgrade. I don't want to upgrade to Adobe and Microsoft versions of subscription based programs - ones I have do the work I just need very well.

  There is no guarantee anyone, that it will work and if you find it does not work for you no one will solve this problem, never.

  in order to maximize the possibility that it will work, I suggest a clean install with nothing that can be present to interfere.

  to do this follow these steps:

  Back up your computer with Time Machine

  do a clean install of the OS 10.11.3

  Since your administrative account to install CS4 and run photoshop

  install JAVA 2015 for Mac

  Howdee new BearPup, yes I'm under W764 Bit version so I can run AfterEffects.
  The error message is as follows - "Adobe Illustrator - no response from plotter. Check if the plotter is in remote mode"- of course, it is always - I was on the site of Mimaki and downloaded... "Vector/raster driver version 2.2 s 0023v 22. exe (484KB))" and tried all possible ways to make it work - it just won't! So on Monday I'll ring Mimaki in NSW Oz 02-4272-3663 and I have a little chat - the next step, I'll probably send the plotter to them for a start and service - what can I do else?

• Premiere Pro CS4 trial update, now the codecs are missing

  I had to reinstall my Premiere Pro CS4 (which was a downloaded update) on a new computer and install the free trial first. Now, after working with Adobe support and supposed to have been upgraded to full CS4, I get the error message: "additional codecs that do not appear in the Premiere Pro CS4 trial version must be installed." I try to update on the Help menu, but get the message that "there no update at this time."  Anyone have any ideas?

  I take an online tutorial (finally learn how to use Illustrator CS4 that I bought ages ago) and I can't find the Panel to the artboard in the window list (I have attached a screenshot). Can someone help me find it?

  

  Several work plans have been introduced in CS4, but I don't think that the Panel to the artboard came later. I didn't know CS4 over the years, but there is no reference in my teaching material on the 2008 work plans.

  Avoid copying files from one computer to the other. It won't work. You run out of hidden files scattered around the hard drive and interrupt the licensing mechanism.

  Uninstall, run the cleanup tool.
