Impossible to establish physical connections to other computers

We have just received a new BEFSR81 router.  The first computer and internet connection installed with no trouble.  Now, I try to connect other PCs but can't seem to get a physical connection.  All computers are on XP and have ethernet cards.  I connect 2 different PCs, using 2 different cables, but don't receive a light led on the port.  The computers also not sohow not a connection.  Any ideas?

Thank you

Here are some parameters that you can set on your computer when your computer is connected to the router by an Ethernet cable.

Click the Start button > go to RUN > type in "ncpa.cpl" - hit OK > here (network connections) right click on the "" connecting to the Local network' "icon and select properties-here click the jaspal"Set up"button - click on the tab 'Advanced' - in the area of 'Property' to highlight the link speed and duplex/connection network/type or type of media - and in the"Value"box select 10 MB/s half duplex / 10 half mode base T/10 basic and Click OK.

Now, check if you are able to browse Internet on your computers.

  • Win7 computer cannot connect to other computers Win7 network "\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource ".

I have a Windows 7 (box A) system that cannot connect to files shared on another computer in Windows 7 (box B).

    • On the 'network card' and 'See the network computers and devices', I can see box B of area A.
    • I can ping Box B of area A.
    • I can connect on MEDIA sharing on box B of area A.
    • Area C (another system of Windows 7) I can connect to the B area and am presented with a box of authentication to connect to the shares (i.e., box B works as it should).

But the box has double clicking on box B or using \\computername or \\IP_Address the dialog box run, I get the error:

    ----

\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network is not present or not started.

    ----

I know that the system is available, because the area C can access... But something's not on the box... It cannot connect to zone B or C. Box

I have disabled the firewall on both systems without result.

I reinstalled the network adapter and Client for Microsoft Networks is installed on the box.

Yet somehow box's not connection to other computers on the network.

Any thoughts on what I should check would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance for the help.

OK... so I was able to track down and get it fixed...

I found another symptom (that would be a good way to check and see if you experience the same problem).

In the network and sharing Center, I clicked on "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left column. I found that the radio button under "File and printer sharing" was put on the OFF position.  I started and saved the changes, but when I returned in these settings, it is once again in the off position.

It turned out that the workstation service is set to disabled (which also caused the computer browser service for not being able to boot). I activated the workstation service, started, and set it to automatic.  Then did the same for the computer browser service.

Both of these services running, the "File and printer sharing" it will remain actually on IT, and I am able to connect to other devices on the network in the way I had to.

I can't mark this message as the solution (perhaps because I posted it?) so if someone he will quote as their response to the post office, I'll be able to mark as answer.

  • 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to other computers and devices on the same network - unable to connect to the shared devices.

I have a network consisting of Windows 7 laptop computers, an XP laptop and a Wireless Linksys (Cisco) WRT610 N + N with storage attached to it via its USB port.  Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage.  Since Windows 7 PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network.  Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name.  When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices.  I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

It took a reinstall (upgrade) to get actually it works again.

  • I am able to connect to the internet with internet explorer, but when I try to connect through mozilla firefox it says "it is impossible to establish a connection with the server." why? "

I can establish an internet connection via internet explore using a router at home, but whenever I try to connect using firefox, it said that it is impossible to connect.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox without you informing on this subject, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container.

  • Qosmio F30-117: Impossible to establish FTP connections

I have a Qosmio F30-117, windows XP, Norton Internet security.
When I try to FTP to my site I get FTP connection failed.

I tried it on a friends computer and the connection has been established the first time.
When I joined my laptop to its broadband - no FTp connection. This eliminates at least my router.

I tried to disbale parts of Norton Internet Security, without success.

    Help?

    Hello

so if I were you I would completely disable the Norton software and make sure that the Windows Firewall is to leave you hollow. If not, you should check if your friend has put in place properly. If you want to test that your machine is able to connect via FTP, then go to www.kernel.org and enter an ftp address.

Open your favorite FTP client, and then try to connect. If the connection fails really then double check all the settings and try again. I think that the problem is so low that everybody he oversees everything. ;)

  • Vista can connect to other computers on the network, but not to the internet

I have a Vista computer that I just reinstalled and it is connected through a router Thomson to a Win7 machine and internet (or at least it should be).  For some reason any Vista machine refers to the network as a public network that I can change this private and turn on discovery.  If I do that, then the machine Vista can see the Win7 machine through the router, but cannot connect to the internet.

I tried to use the disk driver for the Thomson router on the Vista machine, but at the time wherever he tells me to connect cable internet installation program does not detect that the cable has been connected.

Troubleshooting with software Vista suggests simply reboot the router (that I tried without success).  Needless to say that the Win7 machine connects to the internet fine.

I was wondering whether to try to remove the connection and start again, but unable to do so because when the cable is plugged in tells me you cannot delete an active connection and when I disconnect the cable network connection disappears and so cannot be deleted.

    Grateful for pointers

    Ian

    Hi IanRC,

    Try the following steps.

    Step 1

You can try to disable the antivirus software on your computer and check if it works. Activate antivirus once you check the status.

Note An antivirus program is designed to help protect your computer against viruses. You must not download or open files from sources that you do not have trust, visit Web sites that do not trust, or open attachments when your antivirus program is disabled.

    Step 2

Try the Microsoft Fixit. Open the link below and click it on the Fixit button.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928233

Check if it works and post back the result.

  • Cannot connect to other computers

I can't access the media on the server. I am running CentOS 7 with the last starter to media server. What I'm capable of doing, is access to the console of administration and flow on the page local host of adobe and same place, a code reader to a video file in a web page to Weebly and he plays on the server computer. But once I try to do it from another computer, in or out of the network, it does not connect. The strange thing is that the administration console shows a connection attempt when I do this. Port tester displays all ports are successes. I don't know what to check at this stage. Can someone give me some ideas?

No rtmp is still running on 1935 and it does not fall back on 80... However, you can configure rtmp to run on any other port 1935, which however is not recommended. If 80 is the only port then instead of rtmp you can try to use rtmpt (i.e rtmp by tunnel via http) which takes place on 80, since underlying http works on 80.

I'm pretty confident that the question is your network and ports/IPs being blocked configuration. In my humble OPINION, it has nothing to do with the installation of the AMS.

I have not set up a connection between my computer dell/windows XP, Microsoft router and my Motorola modem. My ipod says that there is this WiFi but when I try to access the internet on it, it gives me a message saying "unable to connect to the internet, there no connection detected." The only time where I have Internet on my computer is when I unplug the Ethernet to the router and modem and have the modem only connected to one computer. • Delete connections when other computers connect to WRT 110

OK, so I saw this earlier question, but there was no resolution, so I'll try again with my problem.

I have a 110 WRT router and my DSL modem is an Actiontec M1000. My main computer is plugged into the router and I have 2 laptops that connect regularly. The two laptops running Vista and laptop 1 series Vista Home Premium 32 and 2 Latop runs Vista Home Premium 64.  When 1 laptop connects wireless everything is fine and the connection is great.  Yet, when 2 laptop connects while 1 laptop is connected, then all connections turn out same cable one in my computer.  Then I have to do a repair of connection for repair.  Also, when this happens I plug my computer directly into the DSL Modem and it connects fine.  Becomes pretty bad and I checked all my settings for the router and the Modem and everything seems ok.

If someone has any information or if you need additional information upon request.  I have no idea why he did this.

    Thank you!

OK so I have good news and bad news... ok only good news! It worked and we all can now connect without loss of connection!  Thank you so much! This was very helpful!

I can access the stor-e of my laptop and pc, but cannot access the Stor-E when I go to the working groups then on my PC it calls for a Net User ID and password have tried my user id and password for my pc but this doesn t seem to work.

Someone has an idea what I am doing wrong?

But in general your Stor-E works correctly when you connect it directly on different computers, right?
