  Greetings.

  • You will need to read and write permissions on the Adobe folders manually.

  Please follow the steps below:

  • Right-click on the icon in the Finder and select the 'Go - To' folder option.
  • You will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. (Don't miss ~ symbol)
    • ~/Library
  • Then go to the Application Support > Adobe.
  • Right-click on the Adobe folder, then select the GetInfo.
  • Expand the section sharing & permissions.
  • Click on the padlock icon in the lower corner on the right. Enter your administrator user name and password when you are prompted, and then click OK.
  • Please click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts.
  • Add all of the user accounts and then give permission to "Read & write" to all user accounts. (If not agree, just add currently logged in username and administrator)
  • Click the gear icon and select apply to closed. Close the dialog box for information.
  • Then launch Lightroom application and check.

  Thank you very much Bev.  I now have access to Windows (c 9/30/08-Dimension E310 - NO BOOT DEVICE AVAILABLE!) but I can't get online cus my XPS 210 is my main and routed computer to the modem.  My router cannot detect a connection to local access to the Dimension E310 and Linksys tech team claims that the router works fine cus, it shows the two comps connected r, this is the 2nd computer (Dimension E310) that does not allow a connection to access online.  Network connection screen is empty with no LAN/local access icon.

  I downloaded all the drivers and applications from the E310 Resource CD.  Why the Dimension E310 doesn't read the router?

• Impossible to get rid of Security Suite on my PC (read all the other posts)

  I also have problems with this security suite. I followed all the guides provided on the site to remove it, but it is always present. It looked as if it had been uninstalled, but returned shortly after the restart. I would rather not reformat my computer because it's a pain so wanted to know if there are other things I could do to remove it. None of the anti-malware programs have worked and I don't really dare to change anything in the registry because I don't know what I'd be looking at and could make things worse.

  Thanks for the comeback.  I think that your answer would greatly helped, BUT I solved it myself.  Microsoft doesn't make it very easy and does not explain that even if you find and download SP3 you decompress to run anything of him.

• I am getting color blocks when my video is not playing and the export will go out with the same blocks

  First Pro CC worked fine on my Macbook Pro the week and last week, he has a problem. I get an image blurred when the video does not play, but when he plays he is clearly going. I can work with that, but the problem is that when I export, I get the same image blurred. I uninstalled the program including the settings and get installed yet and still the same problems.

  Any ideas would be a great help.

  What is your e-mail client?  You should be able to control (on the right) - click on a photo in e-mail and elect to iPhoto import on the shortcut menu that appears.  If this isn't an option, just drag the photo on the desk and from there to the iPhoto in the Dock icon.

  You know that iPhoto can no longer order any printed products, namely books, cards and calendars, printing products, Apple Store, right?  Also if you try to use the location of iPhoto feature it crash like iPhoto 9.4.3 and earlier, use the servers of Google Maps and they are no longer available to Apple.

  If you are still having this problem then I recommend to update your video card driver.  Go to the website for the manufacturer of the video card and usually they will have a driver download section.  Also, if this does not help, then after your system specs and what version of Windows and level of service pack that you are running.

• Can switch you from ESX 3.5 and ESXi 4.0?

  We have a host in a remote location running 3.5U4 managed by a VC server in our data center.  We would like to upgrade to ESXi 4.0.  There is only the local drive and we anticipate using our VC to manage this host more, we just intend to use the vSphere client.

  So can we close the virtual machine 1, which currently sits on the host and do an upgrade?

  Or should I back up the virtual machine, do a clean install and then restore a virtual hardware and virtual machine / upgrade tools?

• Impossible to get VM to talk to eachother

  I create my own SCCM VM environment at home using VMware Player.  I have a virtual server that is running Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Edition version with SQL Server 2008, AC DC, and SCCM installed.  I also have your computer desktop virtual running XP Pro w / SP2 that is joined to the domain I created on the virtual server computer.  I'm running both of these s VM simultaneously on a desktop with 6 GB of RAM and a quad processor computer.  Neither one of those VMS uses a static IP address.  They get the IP address via DHCP from a wireless router.  The Office of the host connects via a cable to the wireless router.  The router is connected to the Internet.

  I would like to be able to access the internet, at least since the server VM and always be able to ping to server VM XP VM and vice versa, by name.  But I can't not to come with the right network configuration.  I tried different combinations of local bridge, NAT, and configs but I can not quite do things.  Heck, I'd be satisfied with just getting the two virtual machines to talk to each other and forget about the internet but I can't seem to understand.  (ping is not by the name and IP)

  Should I use a static IP address for the server VM or for the desktop and the server?  I have to configure DNS on the server and point each for local DNS service?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  Two things to check:

  1. is the Windows Firewall completely off?  Sometimes, it causes unexpected network problems in both directions (server to Client and vice versa)

  2. not NIC 2008 appear as belonging to networks not identified in the network settings UI?  If so, Windows is supposed to allow you to reclassify them as home or work.  Or do you need to hack the registry a little.
