Impossible to get to the Welcome screen

My computer is quite old, if that helps (or don't)

My computer starts normally, it starts as another day. I arrived at the place where I select an account. I click on my selected account, and the background appears. Where he would have had a 'welcome' there was nothing. After 5 seconds, it goes back to where I have to choose an account. I try again, this time something happens again. It turns black for a nanosecond, then it goes back to that. I tried everything, I went into safe mode, I even unplugged my computer, nothing helps. I don't have the Windows startup disk, my computer was a hand, so I can't reinstall Windows. I'm sorry if it comes from an overdose of a question, but I need to get on my computer.

You should be able to re - install Windows 7 using the factory restore option (assuming that it came originally with Windows 7)

  • Problem installing windows 7. It will not go beyond the Welcome screen.

    Hello people,

Good so I recently bought an SDS and trying to do a clean install of windows 7 but it doesn't let me get past the Welcome screen. Before even the colored balls appear and it just hangs there. I am really frustrated and tried a few things but nothing I try seems to work.

Any help would be so appreciated!

    Hello a tad noob.

It shows the SSD at all? I would check to see that it is indeed to be picked up by the BIOS, and if not, check the cables.
Sometimes, the Windows installation can chuck a fit when it detects a disk with a sector of boot/MBR not valid and won't install it. To resolve this problem, you can try the following
    1. start Windows 7 disc.
    2. when the Welcome screen is displayed on the Windows installation, press SHIFT + F10, which will display a command prompt.
3 type 'diskpart' (without the quotes) and press ENTER.
4 Type "list disk" and press ENTER.
    5. If all goes well, you can see your SSD in the list. You should see a number identifier. Now type "select disk X" (where X is the number of your SSD) and press ENTER.
    6. type 'clean' and press ENTER. He will write an empty MBR, YOU WILL LOSE ANY DATA ON THE SSD if you had anything on it.
I hope that one of these tips helps you:

  • Get rid of the Welcome screen in Indesign CC 2014

Impossible to find a discussion about this since 2011.  When I scroll to the bottom of 'News', 'Start' or 'tips and Techniques' there is no checkbox "disable."  It is a huge waste of time.  I could even live with the 'Create' screen at startup but can't get there either.

Dang, I didn't read the title of this thread pretty closely.  For InDesign CC 2014, the link provided by Salah is correct.  To save you from reading through it all here what you need to do:

(1.) be sure that you are actually connected to creative cloud of in InDesign.  See the Help menu and be sure to see you 'Sign Out (your ID Adobe here)'.  If on the contrary, it says "Sign In", and then select this menu item and connect properly.

2.) now exit then restart InDesign.  At the bottom of the "New" tab, you should now see the option to disable the Welcome screen.

  • I have no welcome screen. How can I get the Welcome screen?

I am running XP Home Edition.  When I turn on the computer, I get only a window where I can type the user and password, but do not get the Welcome screen I'm used on other computers I use XP.  I want the screen which shows each user next to a small table, where choose you one to connect.  I also can't get there in the menu START.  If I click START, then click on LOG OFF, I don't get the option to SWITCH USERS that would take me to the screen of welcome as well.  If I open the control PANEL and click USER ACCOUNTS, I can't find a prompt which is supposed to say "change the way users Log On.  It comes to have I'm supposed to find a checkbox indicating "use the Welcome screen.  Is not an option for this version of XP?  Am just missing something?  Help, please!

  • How to report a bug? (Impossible to close the Welcome screen in Photoshop)

Adobe is marketing home and tell me how wonderful their products are very good, but when I have a problem and I'm trying to interact with Adobe to solve it (something I try to avoid), the assumption always seems to be ' oh it must be user error - you just need a little education "and not" hey this isn't how it should be - we'll fix it. "

I'm on the latest version of CC, running on a macbook pro running OSX 10.10.4

I'm in bridge and select a sequence of photos, tools/photoshop/load files into photoshop layers. After you load the layers, I find myself with the home screen loaded on top, like a modal window with no way to close it. The top of the home screen seems to be 'under' the OSX menu bar, so I don't have visibility where access to any button "close".

I tried to scroll to the bottom of the Welcome screen and selecting the "do not load at startup", but then I can't save this option because the only way I have to get out of photoshop is force it close because the Welcome screen doesn't let me do anything.

    Perhaps relevant:

I'm running on an external monitor, above my mac pro screen. The two screens are active and act in the way that they appear in the Visual extension of the other (for example I 'up' from my mac pro screen to get my big screen). I noticed that lately (maybe beyond 6 months) cc apps became not good to recognize where they are run and open dialogs on the wrong screen.

    Here is a picture:

I've seen a solution here (to disable the Welcome screen), which I still have to try:

.. .but I don't want workaround I want a fix. The Welcome screen should never load so that it cannot be closed.

I have no familiarity with the program to be able to tell what to do.  If it's like other Adobe software, there should be a setting in preferences (assuming that there is an option) that allows you to dictate how the programs opens.

In the software that I use the most, for example, if you select Edit-> preferences, the Panel that opens has what see you below where you can choose what the program has when it is launched...

  • Get rid of the Welcome screen login

    Hello

I hope you can help me.

I'm not even sure what "topic" to put this issue in the framework, so my apologies if I chose the one badly.

For some reason, Windows Welcome, screen, requires me to login with my password, rises when I turn on my computer, but I have not had this before.

In the past I didn't at all, instead welcome screen, my hotmail e-mail inbox would come immediately, and I would be you connect this way.

However, now I got the first from Windows Welcome screen, I have to open a session in TM hotmail/Messenger screen is not coming and I have to open my Hotmail Messenger window and then have to manually enter my password again.

I didn't log in Windows with the Welcome screen before, only necessary to log my hotmail/Messenger account, and it's frustrating me to give my password twice now.

I have tried everything I can try to find out how to stop the home screen to come, but can not find a way to stop it.

Please can you help me? I would be very grateful if you could list the steps I must take to disable the Welcome screen.

Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon.

  • Impossible to disable the Welcome screen in Acrobat 2015 or DC

    Hello

I downloaded Acrobat DC, extract the MSI file and used the wizard of customization to delete the shortcut on the desktop, disable updates and accept the EULA.  I have configured the group policy to set the following registry keys (among others):

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown\cWelcomeScreen

    bShowWelcomeScreen

    REG_DWORD

    0

    as shown: light http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/PrefRef/Windows/AVGeneral.html?zoom_high = welcome #idkeyname_1_4934light http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/PrefRef/Windows/AVGeneral.html?zoom_high = welcome #idkeyname_1_4934

and the following Welcome screen keeps appearing:

    AdobeAcrobatDC.png

I have also downloaded Acrobat 2015 and used the same process, but used the registry:

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FeatureLockDown\cWelcomeScreen

    bShowWelcomeScreen

    REG_DWORD

    0

    and it still seems.

is there a way to disable the Welcome screen that is displayed?

    Hello

If you want to disable the dialog box above, you can set the following key, by means of group policy or the Publisher directly in the Customization Wizard:

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FeatureLockDown\

    bUsageMeasurement

    REG_DWORD

    0

  • Satellite Pro U300 (PSU31E) - freezes on the Welcome screen

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U300 model no notebook 01900REN PSU31E purchased as new and connected to Windows XP.

It worked perfectly fine for about a year until very recently when it started freezing on blue welcome screen. I had to disconnect the battery because it has not proceeded past the blue welcome screen. I ran the antivirus avast but it nothing of the detected note. Now even when I disconnect and reconnect the battery the screen does not go beyond the Welcome screen blue even if the mouse is moved again, and occasionally the pointer arrow-pointer to sand-clock pointer initially and then rest as arrow-pointer changes. Pressing buttons, Ctrl + Alt + Delete, using the mouse or the battery are not any good.

I backed up things but not until recently. Please help me, I'm an amateur like these sorts of things, I'm English teacher from teaching professional so I really need materials and capabilities of the laptop. What should I do, please help!

    Thanking you in advance,

    Hey the view,.

Have you tried the same thing in safe mode? Go to the advanced boot menu by pressing F8, select Safe mode.
    Check it!

It of really difficult to say why this is happening but if it doesn t work I think that it s time to reinstall Windows. So take the Toshiba Recovery disk and boot from it. If you follow the instructions on the screen you get factory in minutes! :)
