Impossible to uninstall the Nvidia drivers

I use Vista64 and I am unable to uninstall a program such as Nvidia driver so I can update the driver. Click right or not left no difference, do it again and said wait until complete uninstall, leave and time don't even no uninstall. Clues for the clueless Aussie

Hello Bumper49,

Go to Device Manager and see if you can update the driver from there.
Start and select Control Panel.
1. once the Panel open, find and select Device Manager.
2. in Windows Vista, you will be asked to confirm your choice of Device Manager.
3. Select the video device. Don't forget to click on the plus (+) to develop devices associated with each category.
4. double-click on the device and a new window appears showing the properties of the device.
5. click on the driver tab, and then select Update driver.
6. a new window will appear asking you either search automatically or browse my computer.
7. Select Browse my computer and select the driver located under your drive c. file (for example: C:/Drivers)
8. Select OK and the driver will be updated.

Once the installation is complete, be sure to make a new analysis by software update driver for asserting that the driver has been updated.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

    Hello

Counter question: why you want to use any other display drivers? Are not satisfied with the drivers of Toshiba or can you notice problems in Windows?

Theoretically, it is possible to use the nVidia drivers directly but don t forget that they are not pre-tested on your laptop. Your graphics card could be overheating and so you lose the warranty.

Satellite P500 is fairly new, so I guess that Toshiba updates the display driver in next time too. Take a look at the page from time to time. ;)

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

  • Qosmio G30 - different versions between the NVIDIA drivers

    Hi all

My question relates to the graphics card, I noticed that there are different versions in NVIDIA version v179.48 BETA site
and the release of Toshiba v7.15.10.9813
According to what is later? Which one should install?

    Thank you

    Hello

Toshiba nVidia drivers are available for the use of the portable/mobile computer and the page of nvidia drivers are Commons drivers released for the nVidia chip such drivers can also be used on desktop PC.

Usually, you must always use the Toshiba drivers, because these drivers have been tested and is supported by the overheating protection that helps protect the graphics chip of damage!

  • Satellite A200 PSAE6E: Impossible to install the audio drivers after installing Win XP realtek

    Hello...

Recently, I repartitioned my laptop HD to install XP and kubuntu (it came with vista)... However, I was not able to install audio drivers for its audio devices...

The laptop is a toshiba Satellite A200-PSAE6E and everest indicates the following audio controllers:

ATI hd 2xxx hdmi @ ati radeon hd 2600 - controller high definition audio
    Realtek alc268 @ intel 82801hbm ich8m - audio controller high definition

First I tried to download the audio drivers high definition realtek web site (32-bit version of windows xp). I tried to run the installation, manually navigating to WDM file during the installation of the pilot and navigation manually the folders where the drivers have been copied during the installation under c:\windows\system32\... all to nothing done...

Then I tried to download drivers toshiba official of the support web site of europe from toshiba for the realtek chip... I've lived the same behavior (both when you run the Setup program and install manually force pilots)

Then I tried to download the drivers for ATI HDMI audio device from realtek website... with the same results...

Windows tells me that it was impossible to find a driver in the any of the archives...

The only thing that could be the culprit because as far as I can tell, is that I installed service pack 3 RC2...

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Tasos

P.S. I've tried the two automatic installation through specification of a folder and choose the options "I will manually choose a driver from the list" in the hardware installation wizard... the result is always the same... Note that the audio works perfectly under ubuntu...

P.S.2 IMPORTANT! I recently discovered that toshiba offers bios versions for the A200 PSAE6E depending on if it is equipped with windows xp or vista...

This refers to which the operating system has been installed when the system was purchased, or the operating system that is currently used? Can I upgrade the Bios of my laptop with the XP version or this break from things?

  • All-in-One C200 / Win7 allways starts in VGASave mode with the NVIDIA drivers installed

    Hello

I have a problem with a C200 all-in-One (my mother-in-law). Allways Windows 7 starts in VGASave (vga driver regular) mode, but the NVIDIA ION drivers are correctly installed. Device Manager displays the NVIDIA graphics card and drivers installed. It says device is fully functional. I tried several different versions of the NVIDIA driver. The one on the CD drivers, two different from the Lenovo Web site, one that comes with the last windows update and later from NVIDIA. Always the same.

I googled for hours, but found no resolution. Is it possible that the vga driver is set somewhere in the system to be still used, even if the other drivers of work are present (force vga)? This could be a hardware problem? Any other ideas?

    Thanks for any help!

    Best regards

    Hello

Now, I solved the problem. I learned on the net that the C200 all-in-One does not use the NVIDEA graphics card normally. If the integrated Intel graphics card was the problem. The new Intel driver that came with the last Windows Update does not work with the C200. Simply, I installed an earlier version of the Intel driver from lenovo site. Windows now runs the Intel driver correctly. But I have not so far if you never use the NVIDEA, and if it works then.
