Impossible to use Edge inspect with local files or MAMP Pro

I installed edge on my Mac, inspect the Chrome Extension, as well as on my iPad 3.

All 3 on the same wifi.

I can correctly display pages that are available on the open internet open in my Chrome Office to inspect on the iPad.

However, any page, I opened with the file:// Protocol, or via the MAMP Pro Server on my Mac will not display to inspect on the iPad.

As I develop my sites locally (especially using MAMP Pro) and it is the case of the exact use I would need to inspect for, am I missing something here or you can only view pages on the Internet?

I assume that you have changed your hosts file to configure the virtual host name, right? On-board devices inspected do not know these settings and therefore cannot know where to go to. We have a couple of posts on the edge use inspect with virtual hosts here:

I think that the solution of xip.io is a little simpler. Try using that and let me know if you can/Can ' t get it works.

    I have CC for the teams installed Adobe Edge inspect CC and the Chrome Extension. But the chrome extension is not acting as if it was working. I know that my localhost works. I can access my computer's ip and load the web server by default on my computer. So I don't know what is happening. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be for this scenario?

    Please see for yourself what version of Camera Raw is supported by a camera and what version of Photoshop is compatible with this version of ACR:

  • Questions of the C300. Is no longer able to use the first with these files

    After a week of frustration and try to import files C300 I am about to give up the creation and return to Final Cut Pro 7.

    It seems Adobe have updated to the point of breaking the c300 workflow.

    If anyone can give a method to sort it I would be very happy, but it became unusable.

    I am told that the method is to use "Media Explorer" to import.

    So I open first, select "Media Browser" in the window menu, and then go to my files. Once in the C300 directory "Direcotry Viewer" pop up allows me to display the directory to the Canon XF format. I select who and then it reads the card in the form of a series of. Clips MXF. I select all the clips and right-click. import.

    All very well so far, however files that are split between 2 or more MXF clips come as lasts only 30 seconds.

    It started only hapenning this week and the only solution I got is to use "Media Browser".

    Can someone explain what I am doing wrong please?

    Can I assume that this only happened right after the upgrade?  If so, and your time is near, is it possible to roll back to the version that worked and resume business as usual?  I know what can go against the ongoing subscription model, but the model of continuous update goes against the model of stability, hard wrought by decades of never fix anything if she has not broken.

    I also shoot with cannons and I use their XF utility to ingest/export to MXF (no file - just the video file) file via a card reader.  I can import directly into a tray without problem.  However, I'm still on 2014.2 and especially probably will stay there until something breaks and I have to spend.

    What I'm trying to do, it's a data merge InDesign with a (CSV) file delimited by commas. I created the CSV file by using the command "SaveAs CSV" with Office Excel 2013. The problem I have is with records that contain multiple lines in the same area. After reviewing the merged InDesign document, I noticed that the results are inaccurate for the rest of this record. When it gets to the record following some fields are filled with the remaining records of the previous record.

    I'm sorry if I'm not explaining this very well, but the results are strange and I hope others have similar results and can offer a solution.

    You can't have line breaks in a cell. The solution is to use a code for the break, and then run find/replace after the merger to change the code to break you.

    I don't think it's a good idea to mix windows with jython shell commands commands in the same file...

    Good then since I updated to Firefox 4 I can't use any Java at all. I tried searching for a solution, but none of them work. When I go to an area that requires Java, it tells me I don't have Java installed, and there is nothing wrong with my plugins. I have tried researching this problem and found that I need so-called version Java 6 Update 10 or more, and yet I have java version 6 update 11. So the problem is obviously with Firefox and not me...
    Now I'm forced to use Internet Explorer and God knows how horribly slow and prone to frost than the web browser. Even a slow browser is better than being unable to use a browser to all the... Help?

    The problem may be that you have a very old version of Java installed

    I bought the last year end Unified Workspace pro & improved part Multi advanced to exploit my Cisco Conferencing Solution, but now the license server when the virtual Cisco telepresence is managed & operated by the conductor. Conductor cannot accept that the PMP & SMP.

    Licensing Cisco team informed me that I can not update my license screen to shared Multi Party (SMP) because they we not directly purchased. Is it possible to use these licenses to screen with the current solution

    My current Versions are:

    CUCM: 11

    STM: 4.2

    Conductor: X4.1

    TMS: 15.1

    Hi, Ahmed.

    This is the case you can not use both modes of license at the same time, it is a global driver setting.  Have you already PMP/SMP licenses on driver are you using?  If that's the case then you'd probably want to watch SL licenses advanced screen conversion / Basic PMP.   After conversion, these licenses screen would always exist on the telepresence server but PMP/SMP would prevail and they would not be used while the GST is PMP/SMP mode.

  • Why directories, including "file" (as /fileadmin in TYPO3) work not with Adobe Edge inspect?

    TYPO3 uses a directory named fileadmin where all the data of the user (e.g. models) is stored. But as far as I tested it again the word 'file' in a folder name is a problem to inspect the edge. The devices did not react if I choose this folder to my iMac or MacBook. I have this problem locally (via MAMP 2) and standard web server too.
    For the moment, I have to use a symbolic link (e.g. fadmin-> fileadmin) to use Edge inspect in my workflow of TYPO3 templating.

    Disregard that. You are 100% correct. Our regular expression search (and ignoring) file:/// URL is incorrect and is accidentally ignoring any url containing the word "file". Oops. Huge apologies from us, we are surprised that this has not been seen before.

    The good news is that it's a simple solution in the Chrome extension and we will be pushing an update to fix this very soon.
