In Photoshop CS3 sPSActionDescriptor-> Make (& desc1) error

Hello

In Photoshop CS3

"sPSActionDescriptor-> Make (& desc1)" returns null and code execution breaks while same source works for CS5 and CS6.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Thank you.

What version of the SDK are you using? My guess is that you use CS6 or previous SDK and the version number of this suite is more recent and CS3 does not expose the version of the suite you want.

Try changing the version of sPSActoinDescriptor to use kPSActionDescriptorSuitePrevVersion. Make sure you check for NULL for all functions before you use them. If I remember correctly that only PutInteger64 and GetInteger64 routines are for the version 3. You can also add in two versions of the sPSActoinDescriptor and try to acquire the new version and if this fails, try to acquire the old version.

If this does not work you can try using the CS3 SDK.

Most likely, there is a serious problem with your drive.

Furthermore, I believe that the message says: 'unrecoverable problem' - so bad that Photoshop can not continue.

You must make a backup as soon as POSSIBLE and check the drive for errors.

I managed to fix the error of initialization of Photoshop CS3 reinstall Windows 7 Pro 64 bit from scratch.  It took a lot of time, but it amounted to less effort I had to solve the problem.

  • DB Installer is corrupt error during the installation of Photoshop CS3 on a new PC in Windows 8

The PC came with Photoshop elements 11 preinstalled. I tried to install Photoshop CS3, then I got the error.  Other posts, it seems that the recommendation is to first uninstall Photoshop Elements.  Problem is, I don't have a disk to reinstall items because it was installed at the factory, and I want to have both.  Any ideas?

If you have a valid serial number for EP 11, you can download the trial and activate it with your serial number.

  • Problem upgrade version Adobe Photoshop CS3, to Photoshop CS4.

Hi, hope someone can help, Adobe does not support older versions of Photoshop apparently...

I had Adobe PS CS3 installed on my laptop wife.  But his HARD disk was giving problems, so I've migrated the o/s to a new hard drive to SSD.

Now, I install the software back, I have successfully installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and recorded it, I then tried to install the upgrade for CS3 DVD:

Photoshop CS4, but it fails to insert the code. The code for the CS4 update is accepted OK but when it asks for the serial number for Photoshop CS3 already installed and registered, he said that this serial number is not recognized. I can't seem to work around this problem, and it is very annoying. I have received for the two versions and they were bought from reputable companys Unfortunately it was a few years ago, so probably no help now.

The last time that happened a few years back, I contacted Adobe who talked through the process that required a different number series and another method

I can not remember now.  I got this DVD upgrade for awhile and it's a shame if we are unable to make use.

I use Adobe CC on my desktop doesn't have is no need for that. But my wife likes the older versions of Photoshop.

appreciate if someone knows how to work around this problem, currently installed upgrading to CS4 trial version to get past the nag screen.

  • I can't reinstall photoshop cs3

    Hello

Photoshop CS3 gave me an unexpected error a day after years of work very well. When you start the program, it has not yet completely opened and gave me a message that there is an error and that I should try to reinstall the product. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall several times, but still does not work. At the beginning the installer arrived at approximately 3/4 of the process and then gave me an error now after that initialization does not work. What can I do?

Uninstall (if it is installed), clean through the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems, restart your computer and then try to install.

After cleaning make sure no settings files remain, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776

  • How to print a custom from Photoshop CS3 size?

I use Photoshop CS3 with system 10.6 Snow Leopard, and I print on an Epson Stylus Photo R2000. The custom paper size is 8.5 "x 14". When I print the page design seems to have expanded beyond the size of the paper. I need to make a borderless printing, so I can not just to reduce the image. What should I do?

    Thank you, gener7.

I had already implemented the custom size. I discovered that the problem is that Photoshop or the Epson driver enlarges the image to print without margins. So, I had to do trial and error by testing the percentages under the fields "on the scale to fit media" manual until I finally understood. I appreciate your response.

  • Sending of LR4 for Photoshop CS3?

Someone has any idea how to get these two together?  The help file says explicitly that CS3 to work with her and even mentions that CS3 will use ACR 4.6.  When I say LR4 to open a RAW file produced by my Canon XSi in Photoshop, I get a message that "this version of LR may require the camera raw 7.0 for full compatibility.  Then I can choose 'render using lightroom', 'open anyway', or 'Cancel '.  If I choose 'open anyway' open Photoshop, but nothing else happens.  Eventually after a few minutes LR4 begins by telling me that he was unable to open Photoshop (although it 'magic' he opened a few minutes earlier) and when I click on that error, it comes again, then a new error saying: it could not send the file to Photoshop.  After you click away from this message, it then proceeds to make a copy of the file as a .psd (that I don't have set up in the preferences of LR4 for external editor) and the opening at the top.  This is really confusing since I said that the help file for LR4 says the following...

In the library or development module, select the photo you want to edit. Then, choose Photo > edit in Adobe Photoshop.

If you open a camera raw or DNG file in Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) or later, it opens directly.

The Camera Raw in your Photoshop CS3 plugin don't speak the same language, as Lightroom 4. So he doesn't know what to do with the adjustments you've made in Lightroom. Instead of choosing 'Open anyway', you will need to choose "Rendered using Lightroom." When you do this, LR will produce a TIFF or PSD, according to your preferences and go to the PS Ce file will contain all of your adjustments.

  • Photoshop CS3 crashes when you open any file

I'm having a problem with Photoshop CS3. The application starts successfully in its own, but as soon as I open a file any I immediately get the following message:

    Photoshop.exe - Application error

The instruction at "0x7c91b21" referenced memory at "0 x 000000010. The memory could not be "written".

    Then, the application closes.

Other applications Adobe, in the Suite work perfectly well. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the software and I still get the same error.

I tried the number of Support from Adobe, but they will not help because it's CS3. Would like to have 4 or 5, but it is not possible for me right now.

I also tried a quick search on google but answers/solution seemed to be everywhere, while I tried in vain a few.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. but not too much information here.

Chris has already written about changing the default printer.

Go in Control Panel of Windows (I don't see what operating system you have). Search for devices and printers or printers. If the printer you are printing to is configured as default printer change that to a different printer as MS XPS Document Writer and make this defect.

Close it and see if that fixes the problem. This is a real problem for a lot of questions.

All you have to do when you're ready to print from PS is to choose which printer to use when the print window opens.

  • Photoshop CS3 license stopped working

When I tried to open Photoshop CS3 this morning, he said that the licensing of this product had stopped working. It's surely not right?

    Try this...

So I was able to resolve the error I had with minimal effort. I ran Process Monitor and found that there is an application called AGSServices.exe which was a lot of mistakes, try to connect to the following folder: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache. I deleted the cache.db file in this folder, and the next time I open photoshop it asked me to re-enter the license information. Presto! That fixed it. In order to delete the cache.db file, I had to go in safe mode, but you could probably remove it without going into safe mode if you haven't tried to open a product adobe since a restart.

I guess the cache.db file has been corrupted. Hope this helps someone who is having a similar problem.

  • How can I disable my licenses for computers, I can't start (photoshop cs3 and creative suite 3)

    Dear Forum,

a trojan virus has forced us to get 2 of our computers. One with Creative Suite 3 and the other with Photoshop CS3.

We forgot to disable the licenses for these software packages.

step 1 to install the software on computers is no problem. Activate us the licenses and restart the computer. After reboot, we have no connection to the internet and a yellow triangle in the task bar symbol. So we uninstall the Adobe and the internet connection is working again.

I think that this problem is caused by the licenses, because we forgot to turn it off before resetting. I hope someone can help us solve this problem!

  • Error "could not initialize Photoshop because of a program error."

When I try to open Photoshop cc on my new Mac, I get a message error that says "could not initialize Photoshop because of a program error."

I brought all my data in front of my previous backup of my Mac hard drive.

    I had this problem before.

How can I fix the problem?

Forgive me for asking what is obvious, but did you actually download and install Photoshop on your new computer?

The installation routine makes the necessary changes to your computer's system files.

With Adobe products, simply by moving Applications from one computer to another will not work.
