InDesign 2015 - recording of network file server

Hello

I have a brand new MacBook Pro OS X version 10.11.4, also newly installed Adobe Creative Suite cloud (2015) updates. My user has become a problem with opening/backup to our network servers.

This message appears when you open a file:

In this case a .idlk file is created in the server share. After pressing the button ok on the error and open the file save it will open.

This message appears when you try to save a file:

This message can occur even after the creation of a new document and try to save to a network server.

The user is able to save to the local desktop (HARD drive) end.

Another thing to note is that the user is also able to save a Microsoft Word document on the network server, so it IS a problem for Adobe.

Anyone got any ideas on why this happens or if an update is done by Adobe to fix this problem?

I've narrowed the problem to only InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, both were able to register in the network folder.

Demotion to the first version of Adobe CC 2014, I could record on the network without any problem in InDesign!

Adobe needs to fix their errors on the new versions...

    That's right - the library needs (for iCLoud, use of the library and for the safe operation) to be on a local wired connection - may not be on a network connection

  • How to redirect the default program in 2015 for the .indd files while having installed 2014?

    So I installed the CC 2015 approximately a month and a half ago and let the uninstall previous versions as he wanted. Since then, I have experienced SERIOUS problems in InDesign 2015 (lots of corrupted files, crash, etc etc etc - same as everyone here), so I advanced and reinstalled 2014 * just in case *. However, now that I've reinstalled 2014, is my program open by default for all the .indd files. Right click-> open with does not recognize version 2015 in option, even when I try to browse the 2015 .exe file. Sought the positions of the community for solutions and I am now in my editor from the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, except InDesign doesn't seem to appear under Applications, as do the other Adobe programs... Help?

    OP here - I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling 2015, and that seems to have reassigned my default program.

  • Lost random network in the 2012 Windows file server

    Finally I have not updated it is a network route in the linux server causing a file server IP IP spoofing.

  • Slow opening Excel file with MACRO and links from network on the Desktop view file server compare to physical PC

    It's a weird thing.

    I just encountered a very strange problem when you open one of the excel files located on a Linux Samba Shared running file server.

    My laptop physics has a Dual Core 2 Duo 2.27 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.

    My Desktop view has 2 vCPU (UC from host to 2.99 GHz/Core with base 16), 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

    Note: The Desktop view is located on the FusionIO card locally on the server, so it is lightning fast.

    When I open excel file from my physical office, need you 3 seconds to open and 5 seconds to enable the content (because it is a big xls file with a bunch of MACRO and LINKS to a different worksheet)

    When I opened that same excel view Desktop file, it takes you 18 seconds to open and 1 minute to activate the content.

    Anyone happened to have the same problem with their environment to experience?

    Do you mind sharing some tips to solve this?

    It was Sophos EndPoint AV for vShield that I deployed for assessment.

    Once I turned off politics, everything is back to normal.

  • Windows 7; Windows firewall prevents the discovery network, files and printers, sharing, public folder sharing and streaming media

    Windows Home Premium SP1, completely up to date.  Windows Firewall is enabled.

    Try to keep the file sharing and printers on a home network.  Try changing the settings on the control panel; All Control Panel items: Center network and sharing; Advanced sharing settings.

    When I stop the Windows Firewall service, I can activate the sharing I want.  Of course the windows firewall prevents sharing I would do on my network.

    I'm uncomfortable with Miss having a firewall work on my computer.  How to configure my Win 7 machine windows firewall to allow communications with my homegroup?  I tried to restore the default values.  This did not allow the communication.  I tried to find the homegroup settings in the advanced settings of the windows firewall.  No luck there.

    What should I do to configure my windows firewall to allow network discovery and file sharing of printers and media streaming and sharing?

    Looks like the Windows firewall prevents the discovery network, files and printers, sharing, public sharing of files and streaming media. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

    You have a third-party antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Method 1:

    To turn on network discovery

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.
    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.
    3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide
    confirmation.

    If any of these responses not solve the issue, let us then run the sfc scan and check if any file system is corrupt. I also recommend to perform a clean boot in order to find the root cause of the problem.

    Method 2:

    Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

    The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • InDesign 2015 CC will not update

    I read a few threads recent re: problems with the last update InDesign 2015 CC but none are quite the same as my question.

    I am running OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 on an iMac. I was able to update Illustrator CC 2015.3 this morning without problem, and all other CC applications that I have installed are up-to-date and it seem to work OK.

    When I tried to run CC updates of Adobe Application Manager this morning, I've updated Illustrator without problem, as I said. But InDesign had finished its update. After a few minutes of progress, he found himself at 99%. I closed all other and just waited, but it would not solve or complete the update. I waited about 30 minutes.

    I leave the Application Manager and restarted my machine, tried again, the same result.

    I hunted around on boards for solutions and those, including the verification of the permissions of preferences (they write), tried to rename the 1.0 file, etc. None of this has helped.

    I uninstalled (running uninstaller in the InDesign application folder) and reinstalled in the Application Manager, choosing to save preferences. Again the installer stopped at 99% and stayed there for more than 20 minutes.

    I uninstalled again and reinstalled again, this time, allowing preferences should be deleted. Once again the installer stopped at 99% for 20 minutes and counting.

    I get no error messages, a failure just to complete the updates.

    This type of installation failures / crashes occurs generally if you have problems with the network.

    If you use a wireless connection, we recommend to use a patch cable.

    I use Windows Server 2003 R2. We have about 100 PCs that are connected to this server and using the network connection. We are planning to upgrade to the latest version. While I was looking for the comparison between Windows Server 2003 R2, R2 2008 and 2012.

    All items talk about new features like Hyper-V, Hyper v Replica, Active Directory, IIS etc. But I'm not using one of these. I mainly use it as a file server. So, I need to know the comparison of features related to it.

    How are the 3 versions different server?

    I heard that data deduplication is main feture of windows server 2012.Does it only reduce the file size when it is in drive? Or he gets advantage for network traffic when he copied the complete network of another way? Fact that these data are supported in windows XP in network

  • Mapped DFS network file causes windows Explorer to hang

    I have an environment running windows xp service Pack 3 and distributed file system (DFS) mapped network.
    The domain level is windows 2003 service pack 2 and server dfs are running in windows 2008 service pack 2.

    whenever a client machine connects open Windows Explorer / my computer on a slow network or vpn, Windows Explorer / my computer freezes for ever. The computer can operate correctly, except for this problem. The only way is to cut my cable network or perform a restart.
    I suspect it's due to the unavailable to the dfs file server SMB 445 port.

    I have found no solution or the hotfix of google or microsoft knowledge base.
    I also tried to find ways to change any dfs registry to reduce the interval or prevent as much as possible.
    For the moment, I am naïve, thank you for any help or experience to solve this problem.
