Infinite scroll (javascript) seems to bug after 14.0.1 update

Web page calls script as follows:

Infinite.js is a simple ajax call that reads the next articles [pgn] from [getNext]. After the upgrade to 14.0.1, the script doesn't seem to load with the page. When I switch on console, it takes up to 30 seconds for the script to load and run, after which the feature is as before. This problem is specific to Firefox and occurs only for the upgrade. All platforms (Mac, Windows) are concerned.

Well, I tried my own medicine and can't get the script to work in Mode without failure. Hah! My apologies for blaming your system.

The problem seems to be the Google font. You have this in your page:

For some reason, the infinite.js is not kick in for me when I'm hosting these fonts load. (Normally NoScript blocks downloads of fonts of the sites that I have not previously defined on "of trust".)

We prefer that you could switch to experience this:

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(2) in the filter box, type or paste gfx and make a pause so that the list is filtered

(3) double-click gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to switch to false.

(4) in a tab with the joelix.com site, use Ctrl + Shift + r to force a reload that bypasses the cache. Then, try the test Ctrl + end. Any change?

So does that mean if it is correct? I'm not sure. Maybe something in the script is not designed for pages that change fonts?

    Since the last update to version 35.0.1, infinite scrolling (on Yahoo Answers in particular) has not worked. This seems to be a problem with Firefox, because it still work if I use the Internet Explorer browser. Some of my others preferring the settings been dirtied with during the automatic update (tabs and recorded history) I have to wonder if it is a real bug, or just a setting that has changed during the update. Whatever the reason, it is not a setting I changed, and it's frustrating. Help, please.

    Some sites like Google images automatically load additional content if you scroll the page.

    I can still scroll trough a Web page without a problem. I mean the scroll with 2 fingers on the touch pad or scroll with the magic mouse gesture.

  • I can't use FF to connect to simple Web pages. A lot of pages javascript seems to be disabled. have deleted the C:/p/moz FF x 86 files and reinstalled. No change.

    I am running Firefox 24.0 with Windows 7. I can't use Firefox to connect to simple Web pages. When I try to use all the features of sites Web which include cookies of the browser does.
    Many functions JavaScript seems to be disabled, that many parts of Web pages do not work. I went to: Tools > Options and checked all the settings for something suspicious, it looked good.

    This happened a few months at least. I tried to remove Firefox yesterday, by deleting this file: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox and then ran the Mozilla Firefox
    Installer and it did reinstall correctly, but the problem persists.

    I only use Firefox for browsing the web. I also use other browsers with my install W7: I use Opera, IE and chrome, they all work great. The only extensions that I use are the Manager session 0.8.0.8 and selector Group tab 0.1. My Silverlight, Shockwave, Acrobat, and Flash Player are all up to date. I use the default theme. I use all services.

    I don't know what else to do. Help, please.

    I checked the help > information on troubleshooting and I went there to reset Firefox. Which caused the browser working properly again, so I guess I was wrong earlier when I said that it "broke the program."

    I looked at the data I'm in sync. I started the browser synchronization again. This time I unchecked individual boxes, starting with preferences, then I synchronized and looked to see if the problem is back. It turns out that what he was doing was data "bookmarks".

    I guess that the only thing left to do is clear my sync data.

    I work in advertising and my personal site contains vignettes that lead to vimeo videos that I embarked on the site.

    I want that users of the Web site to be able to scroll through all the work indefinitely without having to wait for a 2nd and 3rd 'Gallery' page to load. Is this possible?

  • Internet does not work after the installation of updates

    From 2 updates (KB972270 and KB955759) internet wouldn't work once these updates have been installed.  I removed the updates and turned off the automatic update feature.  Periodically, I would try again but the same result.  I'm now 16 updates to download and I tried last night, but once again not Internet... even after manually loading all, but updates 2 above.  I want to keep my computer up to date but can't seem to solve the problem of the internet.  Is there a problem with the Microsoft updates?  How can I fix the problem, so I can update my computer?

    Last night I installed updates KB961371, 973346 KB and KB 890830 for Vista Home Premium and they seemed to have been settled... my computer turns off fine. But when I started today and connected to my usual user, I got a pop-up message from the tool bar by saying "your user profile was not loaded correctly, you have been logged on with a temporary profile, cnanges do you will be lost when you log out." Check the log of the events for more information or contact your administrator." I then found that all my data was away from all my files (music, photos, Documents, analyses)... everything was gone. I then logged out of my user every day and in my admin to have a snoop around and all the data disappeared from there too. While in admin I also looked in the update section to see if the updates have not been installed correctly, but he said that they had been installed successfully.

    I then rebooted, as I thought that it might help, but everything remained the same.

    After the reboot, I clicked through 'my computer' and hard the news here on the disc wrote I have 89 GB of 147 GB free, which I think is consistent with the amount of data I have stored. This made me think that the data is always there somewhere, but I can't access it at all thanks to my user every day or my administrator.

    As far as I can see, all the programs that I installed myself (such as Skype, open office software for my printer hp) are all present, but some of the shortcuts are out of the office. Also, when opening, they "behave" as newly installed programs. for example: Open Office writer guide me through a license agreement and registration rather than simply open a new document, and also firefox behaved in a way similar "new". Also, on commissioning today (after the installation of update yesterday), the window "welcome center" popped up, as did a window asking to save the "synaptics pointing device.

    In short, the system "behaves like new", remembers none of my settings etc, but it is still a my programs installed and most of all, I can't access any of my data! I have a Toshiba Equium P200-178 (use vista Home premium service pack 1 32-bit), I use AVG anti virus (8.5) and Ad-aware software anti spyware. These are updated every day and I run scans on a regular basis (last analysis aware ad probably about a week ago) so I'm not sure it's associated virus.

    Ask yourself what is this "temporary profile" and how to return to my old and my data! Help, please! Thanks :)

    Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

    After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

  • my pc deleted after that recent windows update (September 8, 2011)

    Im running a pc using windows xp pro (if I'm not wrong) and this is my work pc so I really need your urgent assistance.

    My problem is that yesterday after completing my work I left it open and when I tried to close it later that evening, I saw there is an automatic update waiting to be installed. So as usual, I have chosen to stop after update install & let it do its work. The next day, when I turn on the pc all seems ok, but after the window logo download page I have to wait for about 1/2 hour before the appearance of my newspaper in the console. After entering my password the console disappear and nothing on the screen. The only thing that's on the screen is my wallpaper. There is no taskbar, no start menu, no desktop items, nothing. I can access the Task Manager by pressing ctrl + alt + del, but same thing, it took me like ages before it appears, and I realized that there is no explorer.exe running. When I tried to run explorer.exe this message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not be the appropriate permissions for access you to them.

    I tried rto run chkdsk via the cmd prompt and it detected there is a problem with the file system and ask me to run chkdsk /f. But I can only perform after a reboot, as it is said there are program using the volume. Yet once it would take me ages to wait for reboot start (I did it using Task Manager) at startup windows run the chkdsk command it t wen smoothly as there is no problem, but still the same problem happen where I have to wait an hour before the appearance of the console connection and after connection nothing is there.

    I suspect it might occur due to the new update that microsoft will invite me to install. I don't know what update, now I just ask to install before shutting down. I don't know if it's a virus or something, but currently I am using trend micro internet security titanium & ad-aware and on my final analysis there is nothing major execpt for some cookies. Can someone guide me if I could go back to my pc or uninstall the updated windows install for me? If I am not mistaken my pc ever point backup restore & never all together. I can't afford to re - format or reinstall windows because all my file work & work related email (outlook) are in the pc.

    Thanks for the suggestion earlier, but none of these work for me. Ultimately I have back to the top of my old hdd to plunge into another pc, backup all data and reformat the entire hard drive.
