Information on cable Sansa Clip

I need to buy a new cable for my Clip and understand that it uses a standard USB 2.0 mini-B cable. When I did some research for this particular cable, I found cables 4-, 5-pin, and 8 pins. That one will work properly?

She gets no confusing, isn't?  5 pins.  They will often be listed as for use with digital cameras or MP3 players.

Jonathan Bailey: Version V01.02.16A, isn't it?
Kyle Ahmed: It seems that the version is up-to-date.

    Kyle Ahmed: I understand.

  • Power outage Sansa Clip

    Hello

I have a 2 GB Sansa Clip I bought about 4-5 years ago and have been very happy with it.

He runs the version of the 01.01.30A software.

However, recently and for no apparent reason suffering from power cuts.

It would just turn off, no matter how much battery there left, how long it has been running or what he does. And when we turn on (which is sometimes hard to do) he can't remember the last thing he was playing.

After further tests it seems to turn off when put under different angles, almost as if there is a piece on the inside that is open/close the connection. When shaking a slight ratteling inside there, but I can't be certain that's not making noise power switch.

Of course, this looks like a hardware problem.

So, how can I open it and fix it? Is there a diagram somewhere I can look at?

    Thank you

    Max

Well, I opened it and looked around in there.

True, the battery had detached from its adhesive strips and pulled the loose battery negative cable.

Gently, I took out the battery and was able to resolder the wire and test that it works before you all shut up.

My double-sided adhesive foam Strip seemed to be too thick, so I used a drop of silicone glue to prevent the battery from moving around.

All together again once, case snapped back and forth between them well.

A little notation around the seam is a small price to pay for a media player that fully operational once again.

    Thanks for all your suggestions!

  • Need HELP! My Sansa Clip + is no longer recognized by my PC!

In fact, when I connect my Sansa Clip + to my PC via USB, it will recognize in 'My Computer' for a fraction of a second & then it will disappear! The disc for my Sansa will be apear for 2-5 seconds & then bam, gone.

Sometimes the Sansa Clip + will reappear again at my drive after leaving connected, but even once, it will appear only for a fraction of a second & disapear as he was immediately disconnected.

After that my Sansa Clip + is going to just play the music as it was not yet connected to my PC with the USB cable. I don't think it's the same in charge when connected.

I have an another spare Sansa Clip + & when I connect it to my PC with the USB cable even & the same USB port, it is perfectly recognised! No problem with that!

My Sansa Clip dies or the USB connector on the end let go & not able to login properly?
What I have to buy a new, or is it repairable?

Have you tried to exchange the cables? Sounds like the cable you use (which connects intermittently or fresh) may have a loose wire or PIN.

  • New Sansa Clip + not showing the track titles

I recently got a new Sansa Clip + as a Christmas gift to replace my old (his helmet came out). I've updated to the latest firmware (even my old 01.02.18A,), and I copied my entire library of music from the old to the new player. Everything plays and works in the same way, except for one thing: on the new drive, the song titles never see the place, and the name of the file is always displayed during playback of a song. My old player would show the title of the song of the metadata instead of the file name during playback if it was available. I checked that the titles are actually there and were not lost through some freak mishap copy, so I'm puzzled as to why it won't work as my old drive.

Anyone know of the issue and how to fix it?

Well, Yes, that is my point of view. All tags are there, and all the rest (album, artist, etc.) is displayed in the main screen of the reading and the news section of track except for the title (who, oddly, has never had a track in any case information entry, but that is not the issue).

... well that, as strange as it may seem, the titles of the tracks seem to have returned - after, I moved music off the device to analyze the data volume to activate the Clip + Replay Gain. Really weird, but hey, it works now! (Maybe switch to the computer did it, since I initially copied it directly between devices?)

  • Completely insensitive Sansa Clip

I just bought a Sansa Clip 8 gb yesterday, and today I finally had the time and access to put the music on it. I installed Windows Media Player 11, sync my music, made sure it was fully charged and decided to go out for a run. I listened to a song repeatedly (he played throughout many times so far) when it suddenly stopped playing mid-song after about forty minutes. The menu screen do not appear, key does not turn on and I can not reset regardless of how long I hold it in the "high" position. If I connect it to my computer, it is not read (nothing appears on my computer)... in one of the USB ports. It is not read on another Windows XP computer in the House, either. I tried to install the update for Sansa, but it will not install as the Clip isn't well of my computer. I tried to hold the power button for 20 seconds, locking and pressing the main select button while inserting the USB cable and nothing helped. Curiously, it is still running as far as I can tell because when you plug / unplug the headphones you can hear the "flying" static, you would do an audio device in use. I can't return or Exchange it at Wal-Mart because I left the front desk in another State, and I'd really prefer not to send to the manufacturer at my own expense given their promise to offer a «free of defects of design» product If someone could help me troubleshoot my way in a working mp3 player, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I waited for Wal-Mart finish digging through their recipes to find the mine, and you know... after 60 hours of idleness, the Clip has decided to finally die. I could load after this and update the firmware. Should work fine now. I'll probably still pick up the receipt just in case.

  • Sansa CLIP 2.01.16

    Sansa CLIP BH0811BIFK - 4GB 2.01.16

    Hello!

Can I broke this sansa clip to any recovery.

I checked the forums but have not found an answer here.  If I missed it please let me know, but I don't think that is the case.

    ~~

When you try to turn the unit ON the common message

"Not enough space for Musis DB.  Please free 30 MB. "is displayed.

    ~~

Now, I tried to download the 2.01.35, 16.0 MB update, but this message appears on the computer screen:

"It is not enough peripheral available space update of the firmware."  The minimum space required: 16.0 MB.  Please, free up space on your device, and then try again. »

    What to do now?

    Thanks for the help!

Note: If you format your computer, format it in FAT32.

Is easier, if your Clip will start and run, for formatting under the system of the clamp options.

I hope that a simple format wil do the trick for you!  Keep us informed.

  • Fully formatted my Sansa Clip, in any case I can reinstall the firmware from scratch?

I've deleted some songs using a Mac but noted they were still playable from my sansa and when I plugged on a PC the files not found so I decided it would be a fine idea to format the thing and reinstall from scratch.

I'm having a little trouble finding how do and now starting to worry that my pure idiocy has ruined my sansa clip for me.

I was running Rockbox when this whole thing started, if that helps at all.

When plugged into a computer screen 'Bootloader USB mode' bed and when unplugged it reads "File not found", then "USB Plug cable.

    Thank you!

My hunch is that there may be some problems with the USB cable you have tried (something that you might want to check, by the way). • Computer does not display the Sansa Clip

For about a week, my computer no longer displays my Sansa Clip when I plug upward with the USB cable. I can still hear the computer, the connection of detection, but it does not show in Windows Explorer, as before. I checked the setting on the clip and it sees - USB - Auto detection. If I change this meteorological service of the Canada, Windows Explorer displays the clip and folders, but the folders are empty. However, the files are still on the clip and play. Need to know what is happening, so I can add other files to my clip.

Thanks for the inside. I just do what you say and everything works fine now. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

  • TWO LAPTOPS WILL NOT DETECT SANSA CLIP 8 GB IN MY COMPUTER

I have to be very thick, but if I can install an Ipod via itunes, so it must be easy p1ss!

I'm on my second sansa clip 8 GB, and still my laptop does not detect the device? Why is this?  Ive been hooked up for three hours as the book says, but it does not even recognize it is recharged, the battery power is in the same position, I started the so-called charge upward, and he did not move!

the strange thing is, if I plug it into my usb HP printer port, accusations of bloody thing?

Im confused, Ive formatted, like three times, Ive changed to automatic detection, MSC and MTP but still nothing...

    IM using Windows XP

The usb cord little has the same end for my N95 8 GB, so I plugged my phone on my laptop using the same USB cable and it works, but for some reason this sansa will not be detected, Ive tried all ways and always make me not anywhere with her

I don't not even a small icon in the system tray, it's in my head

    IS IT BROKEN?

    Yours, lost

    A few things to try:

    -Another USB cable.

-Another USB port, especially one in the back of your laptop.

-Try to set the video mode USB MSC under settings of the element.

-Try a system reset (with the music turned off, hold the on switch upward for 15-20 seconds).

I hope that one or the other will do.

  • Sansa clip + does not load correctly

My sansa clip + acted weird lately. When my battery runs out and stops automatically my sansa, I just go free. It takes about an hour to go from 0% to about 65%. but after that, it slows down the charging process a lot. in two hours, it will go up only about 10%. my computer is marking battery bad? also: so that my computer "Refresh" the battery I have to unplug the usb and plug it back in. all tips would be appreciated, thanks

It's the way they are supposed to work. When the charge level of the battery increases, the load in the drive circuit slows down the amount of fees being accepted since the source until it is just a trickle. In this way it does not generate too much heat build up that is detrimental to both the player and the battery itself.

And Yes, if you connect in MTP mode you can see the level of charge on your computer. But it will not refresh unless you disconnect and reconnect. Besides, you can see as well information on the player screen if you need to see a real battery level percentage. But it still takes say connection of your computer to see this.

I think that if you use a charger AC - UCB this info is at your disposal, even while charging. I don't know if it updates in real-time, however.

  • Sansa clip 2 GB trying to load but quit unexpectedly

My Sansa Clip 2 GB begins to demand, but stops after about 20 seconds.  It remains always connected the rest empty battery icon.  For this reason, I can't keep the unit to perform all operations.  Help is appreciated.

The problem was solved by Sandisk.  Their solution is shown below:

If the player does not load, there may be more than one reason.

    -Windows XP or Vista
-Windows Media player 10 version 11 or

Initial charge time is 3 to 4 hours. The State of the battery will be completely shaded when completely charged.

Second, if your reader part or all memory is damaged, the player again to read the memory over and over again, so it drains the battery more quickly, to format your Sansa Mp3 player.

    System files = FAT32
    Quick format cannot be verified

Your firmware has USB mode in the settings? If so, switch to MSC there... problem solved!
