I changed the ink cartridge in my HP Envy 4500.  It prints the alignment fine page.  I put on the screen to scan and it repeat me that it is «forever» scanning until I have Cancel.  Then, it is stuck on cancel until I have force a stop down.    I'm ready to take a hammer to this printer.

    Hi @Paulaayn,

Please go on the HP Forums! I'd be happy to let you save your craving for 4500 sledge-hammering.

I understand your printer is stuck in a mode of scanning and based on your description, it seems that it is the alignment page that didn't scan. You have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is this a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have used a surge protector/power bar this whole time and you feel that this is not the case, please connect to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause.   Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power

I ask because I wonder if the printer does not have enough power to run the task. If you do not have the printer connected directly to a wall jack already, we will perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in.

Please let me know the results of your efforts, and I'll get back to you. Thank you.

  • Ink change 1st time

    Win XP & Win7 + HP 8600 Pro

Sales clearly not to replace a tank of ink until this completely used only since the first tanks have a few additional chemicals necessary for the longevity of the print heads.

Support said the low ink warning about 25% remaining.

Is it possible to set another alert for 5% or do you have to maintain control that looks like a real pain?

    Mark

    Hey;

Alert the ink is just an estimate number, that is to make sure that we give the user enough time to go and buy new material before the printer ran out of ink so the used printing to halfway and run out of ink.
You are not able to set another alert to 5%, however, you can choose when to display the ink alert by going to the shopping tab to choose whether you want the ink alert see the place immediately when low OR only before printing.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello

my printer isn't trasnporting a paper more and it sounds horrible. I'm ready to buy a new HP printer. However, I have a lot of printer cartridges 564 (always good) and I would like to buy a printer in which I can use these cartridges. What HP printers use these cartridges?

    Thank you very much

    Michaela

    Hello

There are several models of Photosmart that use 564 ink cartridges, be aware, however, that the ink change from a few years back. most probably your ink cartridges should be fine but he better make sure to be surprised.

Following these guideliened to ensure that the cartridges are amended, otherwise those will not be accepted by any current HP printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02435884

Photosmart HP 7520 / 7525 use 5 ink cartridges (also an ink cartridge Photo) and also offer fax features:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=5283357&JumpID=oc_r1002_usen_c-001_r0001

Photosmart HP 6520 uses 4 ink cartridges, but offers no nay fax features:

You can also check the Photosmart 5520 below, similar to the 6520 but does not include a top feeder for feeding multiple pages to scan or copy:

  • Poor quality of printing after inactivity

I hadn't used my printer J6480 for awhile, at least 6 months, and now reuse I'm getting poor print quality.  The color is weak and inconsistent, includes everything black.  Sometimes, it seems that some points are not shoot the printhead - if that's the way it works.  I went to tools and cleaned the print heads several times which improves it temporarily, but it degrades very quickly again.  Is that, if all goes well, just a cartridge problem or is likely to be something else?  Thank you.

    43,

Ink has a limited life.  It's sad, I know.  The ink in the printer can be simply 'old' beyond his actual age.

I have an old J6480, I occasionally use only - it's Aussie a good printer that I keep despite the fact that I might have to change the cartridges more frequently when the unit is actually out of ink.

You can change on the cartridges, so you are not coated the inside of the printer with old ink.

If you don't use the printer very often, he does not seem to help keep stored in a cabinet: dark and firm where there are not differences of light, dust, moisture or temperature.  I keep the J6480 in a closet across the House and use wireless on every six months.

You may need to re-run the operation of cleaning a couple of times after that you do not change the ink; change the cartridges, test and then decide.

Click on the star of congratulations !

It's a nice way of saying 'Thank you' for help.

  • HP Deskjet all-in-one: HP Deskjet 3520 will not print black, period

OK, I've lost my WHOLE day, searched forums, has done what others have tried, poste posted HP Facebook, doing whatever is humanly possible to get my printer to print in black. I ran the clean printhead, black ink changed TWICE new cartridges, reloaded drivers, reset the default open to the top of the printer and tried to manually clean the head after only 4 hours to do everything I can possibly do to get this junk to print in black. The printer is only a year old and the cartridges are freshly bought from the store. So, tell me what am I missing or is the printer ready to be stoned?

    Welcome to the HP Forums

Looks like you've covered most of the steps, but I will propose always to have a look through this document printer prints blank Page or not printing black or color ink for HP Deskjet Ink Advantage and Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one printer series to ensure that you have verified that the event on both cartridges.

  • printer j4580 all-in-one

After trying to clean the ink cartridges the printer will not connect to the computer.  The printer works on its own, but not with the computer.

The printer is turned off when the ink has changed?  It is unlikely that the ink changed anything about the connection to the computer, but power cycling might have, especially if it has been disabled for some time. A common problem is that the printer receives a new network address, and then the computer can not find him. If you have a personal firewall or security on the computer running software, it can interfere with the printer software when attempting to find the printer at its new address. Temporarily disable the firewall.security software can solve the problem. Once the software detects new printers address, then it will probably be fine until it happens again. If temporarily disable the security software or firewall is enough, then try to go into the firewall settings and enabling the port UDP 427; That's what the printer software uses to try to find the printer when its address changes.

    Good luck

  • BUG: Flash straightened curves when you quickly draw

Curves drawn with the Pencil/Brush tool partially recovered, in particular when establishing quickly. It is very inhibiting to a team of animators and has persisted through the CC versions most recently 14.1.0.96

    The repro steps:

    1. open a new document, and then select the pencil tool.

2 pencil should be set to smooth. In properties, set smoothing to 0.

    3. draw a line either by using a Wacom Cintiq tablet, mouse or a trackpad Mac. Wait to release the pen/mouse button and look at the representation of your gesture.

    4. release the stylus - curve changes inaccurately or completely straighten an edge.

    5. try a variety of curves at varying speeds.

6 Zoom 800% and repeat the steps of drawing to see representations of drawing more problematic.

Results: Drawing with pencil tool is erratic and does not represent the entrance, especially quickly attracted to the curves.

Expected results: the pencil in Flash CC tool should perform exactly as in versions CS5.5/CS6.

Note: also occurs with smoothing set to 20-100. Ink changes the line but due to smooth out universally. Ink is supposed to add without editing lines Freehand user, but it seems to be even more smoothing.

Tested with multiple Macs, OS, Cintiqs/Intuos tablets and drivers up to date

Similar problem where it is also addressed:

Flash CC - response slow drawing tablets

The problem is worse with the pencil with the Brush tool. Some of the recent changes to the Brush tool seem to have eliminated the majority of my problems. However, the pencil tool could use some work so that what you draw is really what you get.

EDIT: I learned that the paint brush tool essentially replaces the pencil. Although it is more difficult to draw with the Brush tool (because it uses an Overview of the dot instead of a line), its production feels much nicer. Relieved to say that this corrected my original problem.

Drawing in smooth mode with smoothing set to '0' is the closest to my scheduled drawn race, I've seen in Flash/Animate working over the years (pre creative Cloud). "Ink mode" still eludes me in general; I thought he was supposed to turn off programmatic value and reflect the stroke is drawn.

I suggest to Adobe is retiring from the pencil tool (and maybe revisit ink) and we can consider this a very serious problem fixed! Hooray! Thank you Adobe.

  • printers HP 4520 envy: envy hp 4520 change the default ink color

How do I change default color black ink?

    Thank you

    Hey @jim23433,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see you are trying to change the color of ink to your wish 4520 e - all - in - default printer. I can help you with that, but I do not understand what you are referring to.

Are you trying to force the printer to print in black only? If this is the case then the 4520 enviously you can remove the color of the printer cartridge. That will force the printer to print something that must be in color and black.

If you try to print a document on your Macintosh and it is the impression of a different color, then you can fix this by doing the following:

    1. On your Mac, click the icon of your Apple, go to System Preferences and printers and Scanners.
    2. Hold down the command key and click the picture of the printer on the left side.
    3. Click on reset printing system.
    4. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner of the screen.
    5. Select your printer from the list.
    6. In the box next to click on Airprint and then select your printer.
    7. Click on Add.
    8. Try to print.

This should allow you to print black on your Mac.

If you encounter another problem then please provide me with more details and I'll be better able to help you.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a wonderful evening!

My Officejet Pro 8500 tells me I need to change the ink cartridge, but it is not what color.  How will I know?

    Hi L611,.

The display shows usually the color of the ink tank is low or cartridge is out. But you can print a test page from the computer and find information about the empty or low ink tank.
