• Epson Stylus Color 400 is unresponsive to commands from the computer

  Although it worked fine for the past three years, my Epson Stylus Color 400 suddenly stopped to respond to commands from the computer.   I have checked all connections and assured cartridges are full and OK.   After turning off the power and unplug the printer from the computer, then press the power button and the power button together and then release the two buttons (all according to the Epson manual) prints a number and alignment to check properly.   What did I miss?

  Epson gives me the procedure to manually install the printer by using Windows Update.

  Unfortunately, the printer in not known in Windwos updated the list.

  the above printer driver won't load, States something about the kernel driver. State of Microsoft this printer does not have the drivers as is supported by win 7 32, Epson say it is supported "out of the box" (UH huh given win 7 was not on when manufactured) and on another page says it is supported directly by win 7 itself. Then to add to the confusion they told me to download some new drivers that are designed to work. Guess what Epson and microsoft...

  I'm under Windows 7 Home Premium using a printer Epsom Stylus Color 880 ink jet, fortunately so far when, without apparent reason, all lights started flashing on the printer. (inks, papers and power) I, ve tried switching off the power etc, but nothing helped. I dug the original disc to see if I could reinstall the software, but a message pops up saying that the system is not compatible. No problems so far and I've used the same Acer laptop now for a few years without no problem installing printer. Any ideas on what could have happened, are there drivers I can download on the thought that there is a corrupt file somewhere I also checked and there seems to be no jams etc.. Thank you

  Help!  My router died and I work from a Home Office, so I use a wireless on loan from my ISP... it is a temporary solution until they can get out of my house and install a new router. My wifi lite is on the printer...
