Ink stop

Earlier, my printer said I was weak in blue ink. After a long delay with the process of ordering here at work, I received the color ink pack and installed. Then, the printer said I was low on black ink. After yet more time to work, I received the black ink and installed. Now, all of the ink is new. I have the HP Officejet 6100. Nothing happens. I have it turned off and back on. I disconnected and reconnected. I have re downloaded the driver. What else can I try?

Hi @janeite1900,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not print with your HP Officejet 6100 printer. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

A few questions for you:

  1. What is the operating system that you are using? Windows or Mac? What version? If you do not know the operating system you are using, please visit this site. Whatsmyos.
  2. Do you see flashing lights on the printer?
  3. What happens when you print a test page? Video: printing a Test Page.
  4. You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

In the meantime, if you are using Windows, please try our program printing HP and doctor Scan and let me know what happens!

  • C410a printer and all of a sudden black ink stopped printing?

I never received a warning indicating that the black ink cartridge ran low. all of a sudden I tried to print and nothing came out on paper. not even a shade of ink. So I replaced the black cartridge and it STILL will not print. I've tried everything. cleaning and everything. Never mind. I finally got it to work. I continued to do a cleanup on it... again and again and again... and printing a test page. Finally, it started printing. I think it was clogged somewhere.

  • HP DeskJet 3050 J610: HP DeskJet 3050 J610 black ink does not print

Out of the blue, black ink stopped printing. First, I cleaned the cartridges, 3 times! Still did not work. Checked ink levels and he showed weak but not outside. I replaced the black cartridge still and it does not always print all black. I can't print an alignment page because there is no black ink. Tried all troubleshooting techniques, read the manual of the printer recommended, etc.. I just need to but a new printer. Not sure that this will not be HP because I'm already the $50 for ink cartridge.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

Is this a hardware problem? The printer is only 6 months old and so under warranty, but I buy an Epson if it is!

  • Black all-in-One Photosmart C6280 ink prints very bad

Black ink stopped printing 2 days ago started printing anything. I tried everything that I could see to do - cleaning heads manually, then cleaning using the tools of the printer, alignment, self-diagnosis and given to zero. Now it prints, but black is ridged and light of color, very poor quality. What now?

The troubleshooting steps described in this document can help solve the problem.

  • HP 6122 and find the ink level utility?

    Hi all

It's my first post here, so this is.  I have the above printer and am running the latest Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6.  I understand the usefulness for my printer is integrated into the OS and rises as 3.3.2 HP printer utility.

My colors have changed and I think I'm running out of one of the two ink cartridges - or maybe both.   I'm not able to check the ink levels and to instead come with "information not available".

Here is how I come on this point:

For example, I use Safari as my browser and I select "File" then "print" in the top toolbar.  A drop down menu of the icon of my HP 6122 (Docked (attached in my lower toolbar) shows several elements that one is in the lower left, but need you only to Apple's site to buy ink.  Under your search under any triangle does not have an ink level indicator.

However, if I select 'print' then of course starts the printing process, and another menu drop-down will appear according to which "the production level" and an "icon of the utility" are present in the upper right.  By selecting the 'level of supply' icon will reveal a title of 'general', ' pilot 'and level.' "  By clicking on 'level of production', this is where I met "information not available".

My printer is connected to an Apple base station with 'Hello' and I can make prints throughout the day, no problem.  The printer is recognized, but why no ink only info level?

Now, one thing that crossed my mind was the fact that I re-fabricated black and tricolor cartridges in the machine right now, but I was told (ink stop) the chip is reset by them at the factory working entirely new.  Hmm, all opinions on this or solutions?  Also, is there a way to physically select one of the buttons on the front panel, which can print a page that displays ink levels?  I don't have a manual for the machine.

    Thanks a bunch,

    Jack

I believe you can print a test page which will show you the following ink levels: with the printer on press and hold the Power button, then press the X button once, then release the power button.

If the above does not work then the following should: turn on the printer.  Now press in and hold the power button while pressing the X key 8 times and then on the button continue 4 times, then release the power button.

Would it work if I replace the print head, or know someone at - it a fix for this?

    Best regards, Anders

Hi @AndersGK and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you have print head problems.  I would try to help!

It seems you have a lot of troubleshooting already covered.  It is possible, that you can start to encounter a failure of the print head.

I recommend to remove the ink cartridges and performing a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also recommend using the steps described in this document on the problems of quality Print for the HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-all-in-one printer series.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP Photosmart B109n-z (printing problem) Please help

    Hi all

I have the HP Photosmart B109n-z printer and put up wireless and it works fine I had no problem with him.

The other day the black ink stopped working - the cartridge is not empty but it's is no longer black prinking on all documents.  Since I put all new cartridges in, he acknowledges them all, including black, and if I print something like a word document, and then it moves as if printing but the page comes out blank - no black ink is used.

I work for myself, and work at home, it will get this resolved as soon as possible.

    I checked the cartidge - it's good.

I checked the connection and the Bay print cartridge - they are clean.

    Help, please.

    The color works fine.

The issue of black ink is the same print, scan or copy.

And I have tried turning everything off and on again!

  • DeskJet 3055A: not Black not printing

    Hello

I am getting very frustrated and I hope someone can help.  Quite simply, my black ink stopped printing but it still showed as being almost full of ink.  Thought it might be a faulty cartridge so I bought another HP, so I know I have the correct ink, but it did the same thing.  I tried all tests, checks, cleanup options, I can find and it still does not print.  My printer is not that old, and I find it really frustrating not being able to use it now.

Can someone please help me solve this?

    Thank you

    Hi @KASA1,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you have a HP Deskjet printer 3055 has e-all-in-one printer which stopped printing black ink. I would like to help with that.

You mentioned that you have already purchased another cartridge that has not helped. I can understand your frustration.

Here is a document of support designed to be used with this problem - fixing printing quality problems for the HP Deskjet 3050 a (J611) all-in-One Printer Series.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • No black on Photosmart Premium C309g print

Is my regular black ink stopped printing completely.

I changed the cartridge and it will not print or copy of black.

The printer also gives an error message when trying to align the cartridges.

Thought that the cartridge may be faulty but tried a second without change.

Otherwise, the printer responds to commands and prints with color inks but no black (no picture).

    Help, please!

If the printer is on a guaranteed thing might be worth the time soak the print head, as described below...

    (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
    (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
    (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.
