HP Envy 5530: Yellow ink not print

Yellow Ink stopped printing with the Tricolor cartridge; replaced by the new HP cartridge and not yet. Also tricolour ink not detected.

Tried all the steps HP support, including the persistent page terminals on the cartridge and to the holder. Also reinstalled driver. No change.

Is this a hardware problem? The printer is only 6 months old and so under warranty, but I buy an Epson if it is!

All ideas welcome

Thank you

6 months and under warranty. Call HP for replacement.

A few weeks ago, we had several power outages while I was using my Officejet Pro 8500 a, causing 3 improper stops - check 2 all by making the initial product.  Since that day, my yellow cartridge will not print.  I've changed the cartridge, thinking that it may have simply run out of ink "coincidentally" at the same time (it was a re - man cartridge that did not show ink levels), but even with the new cartridge installed, it will not print.  Could - what this has to do with the incorrect judgments?  or is it possible that the printhead was damaged?  or y at - it an explanation I can Explorer?  And how do you know when it's time to change the printheads?  Is it possible to check their status?

From what you say it looks like you have a clogged print head.  If you did any such maintenance as recommended in the manual print head and it does not improve, you can buy a replacement head.

  • HP Envy 5530 (5534) is not printing special products

I'm unable to print documents from an Office such as Microsoft Word or LibreOffice Writer product.
If I print from Adobe Acrobat reader, a browser, or notepad it works fine.

    Scenario:
-J' use the print dialog box in Word or Writer and select the correct printer (and have a default limit) and click on 'print '.
-Action is correctly managed (seems treatment and the printer icon appears in the windows taskbar)
    - Is the thing: no print job is added to the queue of the printer (East remains empty) jobs are in the queue, but are removed directly without being print

When I print from 'all' another application is the same, but a real print job is then added to the queue of the printer.

    Info:
-J' have the latest printer drivers installed
-J' tried to disable the firewall and virus scanner
-printer is HP Envy 5534 (material is the same as 5530)

    What I tried:

-When I use 'HP print and scan doctor' and follow the steps are all "fine" and the "test print" button leads to a successful impression.

    -reinstalled / printer driver

-J' tried both local WiFi and via USB printing

-When I try to manually add a printer by selecting the port 'HP discovery Port Monitor' I get the error 0x0000007b. Is this related?

    Does anyone have a solution?

I contacted HP Support and they put a lot of effort to resolve this problem. Together, we spend about three of us and we finally found the cause: my computer has been infected by a virus (led).

Viruses seem to Nestle between you and your printer even collect printed...

This virus was not found by Microsoft Security Essentials.

Because I was running as a user administrator, the faster (and better) way to get rid of the virus was to reinstall my PC.

You can also try a decent anti-virus.

After that everything works well again.

I hope this helps others with the same printing problem.

  • HP Photosmart C6180 Magenta Ink not printing

    error message: no

description of the problem: Magenta Ink not print not EXCEPT on the page that prints after aligning the print cartridge printing is performed. At the bottom of this page, the bars of yellow, Cyan and Magenta print perfectly, just like the mixture of the color shown in the colorful bird printed below the bars.

Self Test Diagnostic Page is printed with bars No. Light Magenta or Magenta, under print quality model. State of ink and level for both shows like OK magenta and 100%

Troubleshooting: I ran repeated cycles of head cleaning and aligning the print cartridge print without changing the output. The page that prints after cleaning has NO magenta bars or lines. Seems the page that prints after alignment. Via e-mail support, I was directed to perform a complete reset "semi" and "the NVM reset" - neither of these had no effect. Magenta inks have been replaced, but the problem persists.

Exchange: the printer had not been used for several months.

My printer started working. It had been disconnected and sitting for several months. I turned it to try the HP solutions (below) and found that it worked - I had nothing to do!  In any case, I hope this can help some of you with similar problems:

  • MG5320 yellow does not print

    Hello

My printer has stopped printing the yellow cartridge always. The cartridge is almost full. I did a cleanup and a thorough cleaning and aligned automatic print head a couple of times. The nozzle check page does show no yellow but everything else is fine.

    Ideas?

    Michael

    Hi graywolf28,

As cleanings and alignments did not get yellow ink to print, remove and reinstall the ink tanks and print to the printer head, ensuring that all bands who may be staying on the ink tanks has been removed and put them all in the printer.  If the ink still does not print, the printer will require maintenance.  Please call or write to us at one of the methods on the contact us page to get your service options.

I tried disabling my firewall, all made once again, still nothing.

I put the IP address in the address bar, but it does not open!

I don't seem to have a printer/USB cable witht the printer so I can't tey wireless - I one of them, it was a new purchase?

I don't really have an idea what to do next, it seems I have a printer connected to the network, your laptop to talk to the network but nothing to talk with each other. I also tried to find the printer with my IPad, but he also could not find a printer.

  • HP Deskjet 812c - CMY new cartridge (HP 23) - yellow does not print (but it is)

Yes, I know... it is a dinasour printer but it has been a workhorse for me since I bought it when it first came out (1998!). I use it often, but she remained loyal.  Judged non HP cartridges, but they are not as good, so PLOPPED down the money for a cartridge HP 23 CMY legitimate again.  Expiration date: December 2013.

I can see the streaks of ink for all 3 colors on the head of nozzle/so that means there are in there, and all the rest print - C M and K, but not of Y. I tried some old cartridges that I forgot to recycle in the hope that I could get some of them out of one of them though but weak , but that no longer works.

I also tried to print from more than one program and Windows 7 generic print test page in the case where there are a few color program setting somewhere that was the cause.  Banned, same result overall. I swab clean the nozzle/head, lined up, even began.  Always without Y.

I wonder itf it's a question of management of system colors, although if there are streaks on copper head of the 23 HP where it meets the surface of the paper, it seems to be working, just do not hit the paper.  Electric prods on the printer which meets the back of the eye of the cartridge clean too.

Maybe it's a cosmic hint to get a new printer, but I live on a fixed income from social security and every penny counts. I paid too just for a new cartridge.

    Suggestions, hosted solutions.
    Thank you.

  • HP Envy 5530: Switch the remote printer

I have a HP Envy 5530 and I was wondering if it was possible to pass on/remote via my iPad/iPhone?  Advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you guys.

    Hello

You must power the printer on the power button to be accessible through your network, then only it will appear in your iOS devices.

  • yellow will not print photosmart c4280

My printer will not print or scan colors yellow / green. It's a fairly new cartridge, so I don't know that I him have not used everything up and on the levels of food its fine. I don't get the error messages. And clean the heads of printing and the allinged I level 1 and 2.

I advise to remove the Photosmart C4280 cartridges and clean the electrical contacts.  During this operation, I would go ahead and perform a reset of the ink system.  For more information about how to perform an ink system reset click here.

In addition, there is a document for the resolution of bad color printing problems.  The document can be accessed here.

    • Also, try to run all 3 levels of the print head cleaning utility.  He is trying to force the ink holes in the print head to try to get back to the normal print quality.

Let me know how it goes.

  • 5530 HP does not print

Have had my HP 5530 for 1 years.  It copies fine.  Put it up wireless.  However, most of the time when I try to print something I get an error message that it cannot print the document.  When I go to the queue it is said that there is an error.  Don't tell me what, just does not print.  I turned off the wireless and back and time to time that will help, but most of the time it does not print anything.  From time to time, it will print correctly, but does not buy a printer that would work only from time to time.  Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

The firmware is updated thanks to the data.

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m: color ink not printing...

Hi, I have problems Printhead and cannot print in color. This, I thought was similar to a problem where the black was not printing. The link that is HERE. I cleaned and soaked the printheads to 2. IN hot water for 10 MIN then dried on the print head and I'm waiting for the results.

As I was cleaning I found an accumulation of black ink. I had cleaned it and soaking got rid of every trace of it.

So is there anything else I should do? The printer is a: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m

Thanks for your time and your support!

As the author of the post you referenced , I would say through all stages, including the verification that the vents are disposed of properly.

You can also go through the steps of troubleshooting in the paper here.  Print a page of diagnosis as on the Six Solution and repeat the printhead, cleaning of the façade or the Toolbox.

  • Photosmart 7520: Black ink not printing

Black ink is not printing, but the colors and black picture are are OK.  There has been no error messages and troubleshooting routine HP Diagnostics reported nothing wrong. I also ran the last alternative to remove the printheads, soak in water hot, drying, resettlement and using the builtin cartridge cleaning procedure, but still not back to print. Whemn firstg of failure occurred, it had about half the black ink remaining in the cartridge. After trying the procedure clean has nothing helps, I installed a new cartridge purchased about three weeks ago. I did the rest of cleaning, soak and then clean with this new cartridge. The printer is connected wireless to this computer Windows 7-64, and also sireless related to a desktop Vista 32 machine and a Vista 64 laptop machine. All computers have the black printing defect.

    Any ideas?

Is it possible to know that the purchase of a new printhead will solve the problem?

The machine is out of warranty.

I restarted the printer to try the suggestion of the copy, and he entered a period of 4 minutes of 'something'. Then he told me that he had a "problem with the printer or the ink system" then to turn off the machine and if the problem continues contact HP. (this is the first error message that I got through it all). I tried once more, with the same results, but not too long to 'do something '.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium yellow will not print

I am not able to print Yellow.  The quality of the print head is 'good' on my two print heads.  I cleaned the Black/Yellow Printhead (which was dirty) and electrical contacts.  There is no break in the inktubes.  Original HP cartridges were full (although with all attempts to realign and clean, they are now all almost empty).  Print quality report shows no white dark lines or gaps in the Test focus3.  The reason for Test 1 shows and connected lines.  Focus 2 shows not yellow, but without streaks white through any of the colored blocks.

So I think I've covered everything except the replacement of the print head.

The question is to know if I can wait that it will change the situation to change the print head or if I have to get the printer serviced - and, as it is out of warranty, if it means that the cost of the service outweighs the balance of the cost of obtaining a new printer.

What do people think?  Is that what sounds like a new printhead will correct the situation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Cherniack,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

On the Officejet 8500 has not not printing yellow and all the troubleshooting steps you have done, I would say that Yes. Replacement of the print head would be your next best step.
