    Greetings,

Does anyone know if this printer is useable with my Presario CQ62 Notebook PC? I forgot that I got this printer as it has been used with my VERY ARCHAIC DELL Dimension 2300 since 2002. When finally, DELL crashed last fall, I kept the printer... just in case.

    Thank you

    Kurt Nelsen.

    Hi Kurt,.

I checked the page drivers HP and there are the drovers all the way up to windows 8.1 so I'm confident, you can use your printer.

I pasted the link where you choose the operating system below.

Please let me know how it works for you :-)

  • HP deskjet 5650 color with the IMac use

Hope you can help - tried to install the new driver to activate my printer to print in color when it is connected to the new Imac.  Operating system is OS X Maverick and is not in the drop-down options on the HP website.  My printer is really too old to be compatible (printed in color) with my imac?  It prints fine in black and white, but just not in full colour.  Have checked the settings and connected a laptop to the same printer and print in color perfectly fine... Tried to download driver OS X but it downloaded then could not open with error message on screen: cannot open the OS X HP Inkjet Installer application because the Power PC applications are no longer supported.

Any ideas to help me please?  Thank you very much...

    Hi BBHRJane,

Apple offers third-party software for scanners and printers by using the software update. To set up your printer or scanner, just connect it to your Mac. If the software is needed and available, OS X automatically downloads and installs.

This article is a comprehensive list of the models currently supported for printer and scanner and associated software provided by third-party vendors as of November 14, 2013. OS X: printer and scanner software available for download.

The Deskjet 5650 isn't on the list. Although I prefer not to be the bearer of bad news, the fact of the matter is, the Deskjet 5650 does not have a compatible driver to work with 10.9.

On a positive note, you could call HP. HP may be able to offer a more recent model, which is compatible for a cost reduced. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for the Canada and US or you can Contact HP worldwide.< click="" here="" and="" select="" your="">

  • Deskjet 5650 HP printer: printer not compatible Cable

Bought the new Dell XPS 8700 tour and unable to connect to the printer 5650 printer cable.  Do I need a new adapter between cables and where can I get one?  Also provide a # adapter I need if possible.

The Dell 8700 has USB ports, and your Deskjet 5650 has to parallel and USB ports.  If you were previously using the parallel port of your printer, you can buy a standard A / B USB 2.0 cable.  Cables are standard, you do not need the special version of plate gold.  I often pick up the cables to the Dollar for $1 store, any computer store should sell them.

    Hello

You will want to remove the cartridges because the printer do not seal in the transport of cartrridge of ink.

When the new person gets the printer, they will need to run a page alignment and the printer test page to ensure that the flow of ink.

Depending on how long it is in stock, ink cartridges can be put in a ziplock in an attempt to preserve them.

  • HP Deskjet F4135 colors print does not correctly

When I go to print a word document, my colors do not print the correct colors.  that is purple print Green - Green print blue, etc.

How can I fix this problem?  If I print a coupon from a web page, all the colors are correct.  If I print pictures, they too are the wrong color.

I reinstalled my printer disk and I also have a new cartridge color printed and aligned my color correctly test page.   Help!

Try to print a self-test page by pressing the arrow and the color copy button at the same time. You see all the colors here?

  • HP Deskjet 1000 color printing not correct

I have a MsacBook computer Pro, installed the driver for the HP Deskjet 1000 and installed new cartridges black #122 and color n ° 122.

Now when I print, the colors are not correct.  Fate red yellow and Brown leaves green.

The printer has worked before on my old Mac, but does not work on my new MacBook Pro.

    Help!

The symptoms you describe would be compatible with a color cartridge that is not correctly print magenta.  In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve the problem.

If the above does not solve the problem, then remove the color cartridge and gently pat dry the printhead on a damp cloth.  A good cartridge will have a strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.  I suspect that your cartridge will be only the cyan and yellow.  In this case, you can check the warranty as stated in the paper here assuming that the cartridge is an original HP.  If the cartrdige is a third party charging/reman, then contact your dealer for a replacement.

  • HP DeskJet 930C color: print to DJ 930C of HP Pavilion DV4 - 1287CL on a home network wireless.

I'm having a problem with my DeskJet 930 C.  It is a very good printer and worked for many years.  It is connected directly to a desktop PC running Win7 (32 bit).  I recently acquired a HP Pavilion DV4 - 1287CL (64-bit) and it attached to my home network.  I thought that I would be able to print remotely from the new laptop, but I have failed so far.

I downloaded programs HP solves printer installation problems, and this has helped me to find a driver for the Pavilion.  This driver works fine if I connect directly, via a USB cable to the printer.  However, if I try to print over the network, it does not.

I wonder if the problem has to do with the fact that my office use Win7 32 bit, while the laptop is configured with Win7 64 bit.  Is there an incompatibility problem?

For now, I'll be able to print by connecting the laptop directly to the printer, but I'd largely be able to work remotely on the laptop and send data over the network to the printer.  Is this feasible?

Thanks to anyone who can offer help!

    Tom.

Well, it has finally decided to work!  After trying everything I could think of, I went back and remove the printer flag and started from scratch.  I've implemented the homegroup network, allowing the use of the printer on the network.  Then, I pulled up the "Devices and printers" program on the Pavilion and added to the printer.

It showed immediately on the Pavilion as being available on the network, and I chose that the printer is connected.  Nothing to it!

So, I conclude that I did simply something wrong the other day when I tried to connect to the printer.  If at first you don't succeed, try and try again!  Or, in the case of computers, all clear and start over!

    I'll mark it as "resolved".

    Tom.

  • Deskjet 895Cse color printing problem

I don't get accurate color. I tried two new cartridges HP color without success. (I can't check for the Toolbox since I got my new computer with Vista). I only get black and pink and white essentially. Until very recently, even thought that it is an older printer, the color was excellent. Any suggestions? Thank you.

  • No Wizard printer Deskjet 5650 in Windows 7

I've recently upgraded to a Windows 7 computer. I had no problem getting my old HP Deskjet 5650 to print on the new system, but when I went to use the printer utility to clean the cartridges, I can't find any HP printer Assistant icon on my desktop, nor in the HP folder in Program Files. How to clean the cartridges? Unlike other printers, the Properties dialog box is not all the utilities on this subject.

  • Is there a print driver for HP DeskJet 5650 which is compatible with mac 10.6.8?

printer driver has not since upgrading to snow leopard

    Hello jantenucci,

Unlike the above suggestion, the Deskjet 5650 is no longer supported on Mac OS X 10.6 by HP or Apple.

Therefore, installation above will not solve the problem because it does not contain drivers for your printer, you can find clearly indicated below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

Even if HP doesn't provide drivers for this model, you can check that the 3rd part of hpijs pilot who seems to support the Deskjet 5650 of printing:

  • HP deskjet 5650 / Mac OSX 6.8 printer dialog box MIA!

I'm having problems of access to a way to change the printing preferences for my deskjet 5650, specifically the "print in grayscale" command I want to change color...  (at least, that's what I think the problem there...) I know that this is not a problem of ink)

I must have changed somehow, perhaps before I changed laptops and went from Tiger to Snow Leopard operating systems, but I have tried everything that I can understand mine and I can't print color documents on different sites even though I used to.

    Hello

As an older printer, that model is no longer supported on Mac OS X 10.6 and above, so that the question seems due to use generic drivers (which are very limited).

You can find the following information:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

Even if the printer is not compatible with the operating system, you can check the 3rd party HPIJS print drivers that seems to support your printer, I guess that it should provide better reults.

Be sure to install one of the 3 required downloads and follow the instructions of the printer set up in the page HPIJS:

    http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/OpenPrinting/macosxhpijs#Downloads_Required

    Hope that helps,

  • HP Deskjet 6122:6122 prints all colors

My HP 6122 printer prints all colors.  I put new cartridges in three.  Printed black and blue only.  Another print clear yellow, pink and black.  A black and in some parts of the document print prints a pink light.  I cleaned the cartridges and also cleaned a part (don't know the name) inside the right which has 4 grooves.  He had many top ink and I can see at the bottom of the printer when there seems to be a lot of ink.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.  Our State is no more long to individual printers at our offices; only network printers.  However, if we have one in our office we can use it until it no longer works.  I won't give up on this printer.

In addition, if color printing cannot be resolved, is there a way so that it will print in black only.  I tried to find where it change but had no success.  Our COMPUTER technician could not help...

    Thank you.

You could try printing in grayscale: HP Deskjet, Officejet and Photosmart printers and all-each change of printing in Windows 7 settings.

    1. In the program you are using to print, click file and then click on print. The print dialog box opens.

  • HP deskjet 5650 printer

My hp deskjet 5650 is connected to a computer to Office XP.  Shared network printer but will not work on Windows 7 laptop.  It works well with my Win 98 and Win 2 k computers laptops.

    Hello Angel,

Perform the steps on the XP computer below.

Step 1: first make sure that the printer on the XP machine is shared. You can do this by doing a right click on the printer and selecting sharing. Click the share this printer option button, and give your printer a share name. Make sure of course is less than 8 characters and contains all symbols.

Perform the steps on the Win 7 computer below.

Step 1: make sure that you can see the printer to share on the network of navigation area in Windows 7. You can do this by going to control panel and click on network and Internet

Step 2: Click on view network computers and devices under network and sharing Center.

At this point, you should see your XP computer name in the list of computers.

Step 3: Double-click the name of the computer, and you should see your printer in the list. Here, you can try to add the printer by clicking right on it and choosing Connect.

If everything goes perfectly, Windows 7 should automatically add the printer to your set of printers. However, if you get a message like "Unable to connect to the printer", follow these steps.

Step 4: click Start and then click on devices and printers. At the top, click the Add a printer link.

Step 5: then select Add a local printer. Yes, this seems counterintuitive, but that's what you have to do!

Step 6: then click create a new port and choose Local port from the list of options.

Step 7: click Next and in the Port name box, type the path to the shared printer. It should be something like \\Jabzi\HPXP, where Jabzi is the name of your machine XP and HPXP is the common name of the printer.

Step 8: now, choose the printer driver from the list, or download the latest driver for the printer and select disk. Note that if you printer is a little older, it is advisable to download the Windows 7 driver for the printer, and then click disk.

Continue with the wizard to complete it.

Now try to print, it should work!

    Kind regards
    Jabzi
