• DMA FIFO and node VHDL

  Hi guys!

  I am writing here after many days of attempts without success...

  My request is 'simple', send data from the Panel of Labview RT within a DMA FIFO target host. Then the FPGA core receives data and imported through a knot of VHDL processes, and then after the data is pointing to the Labview RT through a target to host DMA FIFO.

  I tested my node VHDL simulation mode in Labview FPGA where data sent by a target scope THAT FIFO and just work fine.

  But when I try to run the node VHDL in the real target with data from the RT by DMA FIFO basis, it won't. I already do some checks:

  -Data are properly sent through the host target DMA FIFO;

  -The data are correctly received in the FPGA base;

  -The data are correctly sent to the node VHDL;

  -Result of the node VHDL are correctly sent to the heart of the RT through the target to host DMA FIFO;

  -Result are correcly received in the heart of the RT, , but the result is false and absurd. But I have proof that my node is semanticly correct with my mock test

  So my question: are there reasons to see my work VHDL nice knot in simulation mode and not in mode real target with data from the base RT by DMA FIFO taking into account data Transfer between DMA FIFO work well in both sides? Is there some sample available with data send RT FPGA-based via DMA and data processing with a knot of VHDL and returned to the RT kernel to inspire me?

  I can't post my screw here because I work for a company, I use a MyRIO with Labview FPGA 2014 target.

  Thank you for your answer but I solved my problem. Indeed, at first, I tried to make a knot of Combinatorics (without clock) pure, but the problem seemed to come from that.

  I modified my node in order to incorporate a clock, according to the prescriptions of this white paper: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599K-01/lvfpgaconcepts/ipin_prepare_ip/ . And now, every thing seems to work well.

  The question remains why the combinatorial node has worked in simulation mode en not in the actual target?...

  But for people with the same problem, I suggest add them a CLK and check an edge of entry with rising_edge (CLK) and if it does not, add an input signal to check if the input signals are valid or not.

• Detection of contours in the HDL node

  I used a knot of HDL to interface vhdl code in labview. The code should simply turn an led 'on' and 'off' when a button is pressed or relased, respectively. But when I run the code, the LED will remain off despite pressure on the button or not.

  I'm not good in VHDL PROGRAMMIN but I need to demonstrate how to use the node VHDL to my presentation. Can someone help me with the button (or latch releasing proportionally) edge detection. ?

• Problem with formula node

  I'm using LabVIEW 2012 and there seems to be a problem with the node of the formula. The output of a simple no operation is not correct.

  I have an input U8, whose value is 255. I apply a no operation (a = ~ a and the value returned by the formula node is also 255.)

  Is this a bug in the node or there at - it another way to calculate the bit DO NOT level?

  You must use the function or exclusive.  So what you really need, is:

  a = a ^ 0xFF

  EDIT: Dig even more, it is called a 'top-up bit.  I consider cela a bug.  I see the same thing with 2011.

• Problem importing FS5 Sony XAVC-L

  I have problems importing XAVC-L mfx files in my calendar.

• Problems importing files HAVE in flash

  Curved lines are moved with the corners in Flash!

  Cool! Good news. I was able to reproduce it and immediately knew why you experience this problem when it imported into Flash. The original image (which is optimal btw) is pretty small scale. So I have it furred about 3 x in the file, saved and then imported into Flash again. The lines look much much better. Flash is not only to make the curves as well when they are really small.

• Problem importing sequences in AE CS5.5

  I'm having problems importanting "avi" video of my Vado HD in AE CS5.5 - playback of videos very well in Windows Media Player, but when they are imported into After Effects the clip is grey and only the audio track is available. I do not understand the problem because the codec must be installed for the Media Player read the files and I checked this by loading the film into GSpot with this result: Codec H264. The name of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC. Installed. Really hope someone can help me with this.

  I think you might be out of luck on this one... It is flavor H.264 hardware acceleration, intel, that AE has obviously never been decoded. I checked on CS3. There might be some active DLL, you can install intel themselves who can solve the problem, but I could not find in the shortness of the time. So that leaves a lot of external conversion as your only option. After passing through one of the tools, I mentioned it opens fine in AE...

• Problems importing the files from an SD card to iMovie

  After I have import files from an SD card to version 10.1.1 iMovie I have a problem when I eject the SD card then some of the files show just like a question mark (?) and some of the files are saved. I've never had this happen before that I can remember. I was just curious to know if maybe I do some thing wrong, or if there is a problem with iMovie.

  Looks like you may have ejected from the SD card until all files have been copied to iMovie.  In fact I never use import to all but drag and drop files directly from the SD card mounted to an iMovie event.  This way an id that the files were transferred.

• Problem importing Sony EX1

  I recently bought an iMac 27 running 10.10.5 Yosemite. I have FCPX 10.2.3. I installed the update to version 2.0.4 Pro video Formats. All I want to do is get up a race and I thought I was set up.

  I have connected my Sony EX1 and with FCPX open, I turned the camera to the media. This brought to the top of the window to import media. My camera screen asked me to "Connect USB now? I clicked on run and media import window shows as untitled and untitled 1 cameras. I just get a spinning wheel and then nothing. Finally, I have to force quit, and he says THAT FCPX is not responding.

  Please, please help, as you can guess I'm really new to FCP but I had an older version and I imported via XDCAM TRANSFER. I have not had any problems with them, but now I am totally stuck and cannot see nowhere to go

  You download and install the Sony's XDcam files as well? You may need drivers for the card reader, as well as the import tool files.

• Problem importing Certificate SSL in gateway desktop remotely

  Windows 2008 R2

  Our SSL wildcard (by Go Daddy) certificate has expired, I have renewed, went into IIS, created a CSR, apply the CSR, downloaded the version of IIS of GoDaddy. completed CSR in IIS, applied the intermediate certificate, went into MMC and import the certificate into the local computer store.

  BUT... I have problems with the gateway Office remotely.  I can't import the cert generic it.  I'm in management gateway > properties > SSL certificate and take the option "Select an existing certificate" I see the generic cert, I select it and click on apply, it flashes away and then apply it is grayed out, so I click on OK, but says still no cert... status says I need a cert.  So it's like it is not recognizing the cert or is the kind of evil?

  Thought he could be authority, so I tried it with several different admin on the global domain IDs.

  I also went through MMC and imported the cert in the location of the remote office certificates, but who don't seem to have any impact.

  What I am doing wrong?

  Go Daddy suggests cert regeneration, but I don't want to do it again unless I need to.

  Any ideas?

• Using intermittent problems "invoke the node-> default reset" command to delete a table

  I use the 'default' reinitalization invoke the node to clear a table after sending the data to a file. The next time that the vi is called the table should appear all items, set the default values. However sometimes the picture is not deleted and data since the previous call of the vi are still in the arrary, or at least it appears that way, since the same data for the previous time called appear in the file when new values are added to the file. New data looks good, as the data points in the table that I don't update appear with the old values. And again, it is an intermittent problem. I can solve this problem for a while in any case stop labview and re-run it.  Any ideas what's happening?

  Two things to try.

  (1) make a copy of the file VTS_01_1.VOB of experimentation...
  Right click / Rename the file VTS_01_1.VOB at VTS_01_1.MPG
  try to import the .mpg file in Movie maker

  (2) in the case of failure, use the following freeware to convert the
  File VTS_01_1.mpg to VTS_01_1.WMV

  (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
  Restore point before installing software or updates)

  Format Factory

  (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
  all the boxes on the last screen)

  After downloading and installing Format Factory...
  Open the program and choose an output folder...
  (this is where you will find your files when they are
  converted)

  Drag and drop your video files on the main screen...

  Select "all to WMV" / OK...

  Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

  That should do it...

• Problem importing mpeg in windows movie maker 6

  I know that this seems to be a repetitive theme but this is: my windows Movie Maker 6 in my laptop computer won't import mpeg (I use vista)... my WMM on my machine from office at will (I use XP)

  Here's the story; I have a canon vixia HF11 which gives me "m2ts" files that used import into WMM... so I found a cheat... I just change the file ext 'MPEG' and that it is important to the former WMM (XP). These "MPEG" do change well in the WMM so I convert them to wmv for editing as I want.

  When I do the same thing on the laptop (vista) the 'new' mpeg file will not import to the WMM as it does on the XP machine. (However, it will play in windows media player)

  the bottom line: is there a way to make the most recent WMM do the same thing as the old?

  If not, is there a simple free converter that will convert my files "m2ts" to something that will work in the most recent WMM?... I already spent a lot of money on this machine and I just want something simple.

  Now, I know the problem is the movie maker (version 6) itself. After doing a little more looking around, I discovered that if I install wmm 2.6 (which was made for vista machines that could not handle wmm 6. I did it and everything works fine now. apparently the wmm 6 (vista) does not have certain things the same as the older 2.1 (XP).)

• Problem importing files Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail in Windows 7__

  My new computer has Windows 7 and, of course, Windows Live Mail.  My old computer has Windows XP and Outlook Express.  I copied my file OE that contains all my USB key *.dbx files.  On the file menu of WLM, I then selected "Import Messages" and then indicated the location of my OE files on the USB key.  When I clicked to import the files, a small window with a green status bar that showed all the imported files.  I then clicked on "Finish."  My problem is even if the import seems to be successful I don't think the imported files or folders in Live Mail.  I tried twice with the same results.  Did I miss a step?  My just OE files seem to have not gotten in my Windows Live Mail program.

  Look in the imported folders under storage folders. If you do not see the storage files, in the Menu bar: view | Page layout | The folders pane. Check: View the storage folders.

  Missing Menu bar? Click the menu button to the left of the help button and activate the menu bar.

  If still no joy, copy the database messages OE of the USB on the desktop and try to import from there.

  Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

  For messages:

  Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

  Location of OE message store:

  In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  For addresses:

  Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

  Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

  Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.
