Changed according to your variables. BTW, you can not SID more than 8 characters, which means that the name of your instance GLOBAL_CLUSDB01 is not your SID. So, try parameter with the name of the database as CLUSDB.

    Cool, that's all!

I was able to add my decorations, after you add the cluster without decoration, in the table.

  • How to install BDE cluster without software

BDE 2.1, it is established that you can create a cluster hosts and let distribution management software (for example Ambari) install the cluster.

We are looking to upgrade to 2.1, but for now on 2.0.  Is it possible to just create the virtual machine and then install the cluster of Ambari?  We tried to install the cluster, remove the software (RPM - clear), then by restarting the guests.  It seems that the BDE reinstalls the software when this happens.

It is not the end of the world if we can not, as I said, let's go to 2.1 next week.  However, what I have above possible?

Create a Cluster of basic with the Serengeti command-line Interface

Yes, you can use BDE 2.0 or 2.1 to create a basic cluster in your environment of Serengeti. A basic cluster is a group of virtual machines configured and managed by Serengeti. Serengeti helps you plan and configure the virtual machines according to your specifications. You can use virtual machines to the cluster basis to install large data applications.

The basic cluster does not install application of large data files used when you create a cluster Hadoop and HBase. Instead, you can install and manage applications data with tools for third-party such as Apache Ambari application or Cloudera Manager management in your environment of large Extensions of data and integrate with your Hadoop software. The basic cluster does not deploy a cluster Hadoop and Hbase. You must deploy software in virtual machines from the base of the cluster by using a third-party external application management tool.

The Serengeti includes a cluster annotated sample specification file that you can use as an example, when you create your database cluster specification file. In the Serengeti Management Server, the specification sample file is located at opt/serengeti/samples/basic_cluster.json. You can change the configuration values in the cluster sample specification file to meet your needs. The only value, you cannot change is the value assigned to the role for each node group, which must always be basic.

You can deploy a base with the data Extension plugin Big cluster by using a custom cluster specification file.

To deploy the software on the basis of the VMS cluster, use the cluster list - command of detail, or runserengeti - ssh.sh cluster_name to get the IP address of the virtual machine. You can then use the IP address with applications such as Apache Ambari or Cloudera Manager to set up the virtual machine with the software of your choice. You can configure the management application using the serengeti of username and the password you specified when creating the cluster basis within large data Extensions when management tool requires a username and password for you to connect to the virtual machines.

  • A physical database ensures running in noarchivelog mode

Primary database: cluster 2 node rac, 11.2.0.2 RDBMS and GI
    Standby Database: single instance 11.2.0.2
    OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX 7.1

    Hello

I'm trying to implement a Data Guard standby system. To make this simpler system to the admin, I want to run the day before in NOARCHIVELOG mode database. This expectation is used only as a mirror of the production (to be copied to a 3rd site of activity of separate user) and will never pass mode. Now another set of archive logs seems to be redundant to me and another point of failure, so I want to disable archiving. I wanted to ask if all the experts of DG on the forums have already had experience with this? Does anyone know if this is recommended? I searched the Oracle Data guard documentation online... it is said that the primary must obviously be in mode archive, but I don't see anything specific on the standby. Please let me know if anyone has experience with this.

    Thank you

    Hello again;

If this is the case, then I have nothing to worry about here. Does that sound right to you?

    Yes.

    To do this:

    b) monthly, shutdown this system and copy it to a 3rd site to host a separate set of business activity

I would consider this case RMAN Duplicate, you can avoid the closure.

    And for that:

     resync the "mirror" with production

All you have to do if SEE the primaries forward, then ENABLE and Data Guard will catch up.

-Will post a detailed example here in a moment.

From the beginning of the year, they wanted to work on our main server room (power). I've done the switchover to the waiting, but I kept log_archive_dest_state_2 on the new primary series to DEFER. Then I stop
all databases of the main site. At the end of the work two days later, I started the databases on the primary site in standby mode. Log_archive_dest_state_2 switched to ACTIVATE. While the databases were back in SYNC
I did another pass and he did. I used the TAF, and none of the users even notice.

  • Many databases to the same CCR

How framing - you have 3 databases on both nodes?

Having only one House ASM and 3 Oracle homes is the best thing to do, isn't it?

User only oracle? Or 3 with different variables?

    Thanks for your opinions.

You will always have the only one ASM Instance running in one machine. Because for example in two node RAC database cluster, you need to ASM1 on node 1 and ASM2 on node 2. You cannot have more then an instance ASM running on a computer. ASM can manage n number of database instances and all these databases to connect/application instance to instance single asm.

Its better to have the single user OS for all 3 data bases. If yo have different DBA management different database, so you can have different user OS (different roles). But alone is OK you only manage all.

Now come to oracle - its better to have a different welcome for each oracle database (of course asm House will be different in all cases) for purposes of management/availability/patch. For example homes have different oracle will avoid affecting all other databases, if something does not go in patching.
Another example would be if you want 1st fix database and other 2 database can remain online if you have homes different oracle.

  • Grid Control 11g of the problems with the basic policy of RAC database

We have a group of three nodes 11 GR 2 (rac1, rac2, rac3) and a policy based RAC database 11 GR 2 (ORCL) with cardinality 2 (ORCL_1 and ORCL_2) on this group. Used to monitor the Control 11g Grid infrastructure. Founded political RAC databases are linked to the pools of the server and not to the cluster nodes, therefore, restart the cluster database instances can run on both on 3 nodes in the cluster. For example, if ORCL_1 is running ORCL_2 and rac1 rac2 Sir after a full reboot ORCL_1 and ORCL_2 can be run on rac2 and rac3 respectively. Binding of the pool with two special nodes will be as if we use database RAC database administrator and not the policy based.

Now the problem is that Grid Control registers the services in database with the node that is running the instance due to which, once the instances are started on a different node, she complained authorities are declining. We don't have to then reconfigure database instances and say Grid Control that they are now on another node. However, this removes the history of AWR for these instances.

Is there a solution to this problem?

    Kind regards

    Kashif.

    Hi koko,.

to work around this problem (I think that there is no "automatic" support in the current version of EM for switching hosts databases), you can create an ACTION_SCRIPT for your database cluster resource that is running the relocate_targets command emcli (so an emcli should be placed on all nodes of your and recorded with Super Administrator privileges). So every time you start your database resource, this script command / move the target to the current host without losing any historical information.

    Best regards
    Robert

Edit: You can find an example of the command emcli in this document written by Rob Zoeteweij: http://oemgc.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/manage-node-failover-in-an-active-passive-setup-using-oracle-enterprise-manager-grid-control1.pdf
In this scenario is an active/passive environment, but the command itself appies to your situation, too.

    Hello

I have a problem with oracle 8i under windows 2000 server databases, grouped (active-passive).

    Download
    sqlplus/nolog

This command works and the password file is changed, but the database cluster resource has changed its status as 'failed '.

  • Several connections open db in a weblogic cluster

We have created a weblogic with oracle database cluster.
Whenever we start the cluster (managed server), there are a lot of connections open in the database (about 150 in the database). Although we have a maximum capacity of cgDataSource, cgDataSourcenoXA and wlsjmsreportDS 20. So ideally should be not more than 60 connections open at any time.
We use 10gR 3 OSB in 64-bit Linux platform.

The maximum capacity for a data source is by node in the cluster (if it is targeted on the cluster).

So if you have 3 sources of data, with a maximum capacity of 20 nodes of each and two in your cluster you should have about 3 * 20 * 2 = 120 connections.

Of course to start WebLogic creates only the number of connections specified in the initial capacity.

  • Stop and start BECAUSE the database with standby

    Hi all

    Oracle 10.2.0

I am new to Oracle RAC.

Is there any order or the way I shlould follow when stopping or starting up a database cluster with database pending.

I don't know the format. Which is in a way even as single instance Oracle.

    1 depress the standby database.
2 knock the lsnrctl to standby.
    3 stop primary database.
4 depress the lsnrctl for primary education.

    Please advice...

    TIA,

    Hello

First make sure that both nodes are running, usually clusterware returns automatically after the reboot, but you can handle manually to help. Also use cluvfy for validation test after the interview.

    crsctl stop crs

    crsctl start crs

    srvctl start listener -n mynode1

    srvctl start database -d db_name

    srvctl start service -d db_name

crs_stat -t to verify which services are offline or online
