  • Inspiron B130-no sound

My Dell Inspiron B130 sound does not work.

    (1) the sound works out of the Partition of diagnosis.  The diagnostics program detects no conflict and gives the sound a perfect state of health.  I can hear the sound very well out of the built-in speaker.  I can hear the sound through the headset when I plug them as well.

    (2) of Windows XP I don't hear anything.  The driver seems to be properly installed, and no errors are in the hardware Manager.  The mixer and audio software rises and nothing is grayed out.  I tried both the driver and the driver update, but was not able to hear anything through the headphones or the speakers.

    (3) out of desperation I did a reimage - still no sound.  I updated the driver - still no sound.

I never heard of his work on this laptop.  Is it possible that the audio driver is wrong on the image and website?  If the sound works out of the partition of diagnosis, should not it works under XP as well?

There are 2 pilots that have been widely used and which have proven themselves reliable, so I don't think that's the problem. They are the Sigmatel R171789 and Sigmatel R122161. The main difference between them is that R171789 has stereo mix and the other not. You have probably used these.

Regarding the image, I don't know. If you used the original hard disk image, called Dell PC Restore, it would have been correct. It would have also fixed software problems and the remaining problem would be material.

With the exception of not get audio through the headphone jack, your question has a similarity with the failure of spindle sense as described in the FAQ of Jack for headphones . You don't seem to have the correct symptoms for failure to sense pin, but if you read the article you will see how it is possible for audio work in diagnosis, but not through the speakers in Windows, because of a hardware failure which is undetectable by the diagnostic tests.

I would try re - install the Dell system software - and reboot.

Then the Software Intel Chipset - and restart.

Then reinstall one of the audio drivers.

That might not help, but it will eliminate a potential problem.

Another thought, is that when you re-install or recreate the image of the operating system, this process does not affect the BIOS. Rick, do you know what in the BIOS of the B130/1300 model which is linked to the audio? I'm not familiar with this BIOS.

  • I'm unable to set up my new Linksys E1000 router to my computer dell Inspiron B130 laptop.

When you try to configure my linksys E1000 new router I get... We can not define your... router wireless connection requires Wi - Fi connection are managed by microsoft windows.  some computers have a different wireless connections Manager... I tried to disable my dell 1470 wireless unsuccessfully lan card to get the new router loaded... any suggestions?

    Hi Devar,

When you configure a new Wifi router immediately, you can connect to the radio

you have to go on the wireless router and you also need an ethernet cable to connect the router to your pc wirelessly

normally all routers come with an installation cd. But if it does not

Open your web browser and type the ip address of the default gateway

The IP address of the Linksys routers is 192.168.1.1

from there, you can set the security features and everything and after that you have set up passwords and everything please connect your modem to the wireless router so that you can access the internet

to manage your network wirelessly with the windows wireless client, please activate your Automatic Configuration WZC wireless

follow these steps to activate the automatic Wireless Configuration

Start menu - click on RUN

type in SERVICES. Scroll down the list until you see SMC Wireless Auto Configuration

Double-click and should be in service type: automatic

and also, click Start to start the service.

    Hope that helps

Connect an external monitor - if she has the same defect, the motherboard should be replaced.

If it is not the case, disconnect and reconnect both ends of the cable that connects the motherboard and display panel - and the absence of damage.  If it is damaged, replace the cable.  If this does not resolve the problem, replace the LCD screen.

  • B130 memory

I have a Dell Inspiron B130 which I wanted to update the memory. Currently it has 1 GB memory supplied with the laptop when I bought it. The maximum memory that the laptop can be supported is 2 GB.

Not the 1 GB that comes with the laptop, a single module or is there in fact 2 modules of 512 MB? I didn't know if I just need to buy another 1 GB module or I have to buy 2 1 GB module. Thank you.

Download and run the free program SPECCY, click me he will describe in detail what you installed, one or two memory modules.

Dell having a history of incompatibility of memory, most of the technicians here recommend for non Dell memory Crucial memory.

  • Inspiron 530 Win XP Home does not start with the TrendNet wireless card

I just received 5/1 a refurbished Inspiron 530 530 Mini-Tower desktop: Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (8 MB L2 cache, 2.4 GHz, 1066FSB) Genuine Windows XP Home Edition. The PC didn't have any LAN card and I intend to use a working adapter TrendNet (COMPUSA) 54 Mbps Wireless G PCI I used very well with my old 4300 Dim run also Win XP Home. However, after that I booted up the new PC with the first series, I stopped him. I then opened and installed the card wireless in one of the 2 empty PCI slots. When I turned on the PC, surprise! The PC wouldn't start - it kept beeping with the glowing orange of front power button and turn off every two seconds, I then read the Inspiron 530 manual means that the motherboard has detected an error. Hello. I checked.

I searched other posts in this forum and I've seen a few references to the boot configuration verification. However, installation of starting my PC doesn't have an option related to the wireless adapter.

Someone help me please fix this error. I intend to reconnect the card on my old PC wireless again and start just to prove that the card is always good. I only removed a card video of him and the rest of the asis. (I've not carpet in my house is that reduces my chances to have fried the card when you remove or install.) I also touch the chassis of the PC before doing anything.)

  • Inspiron 531 does not completely start upward after replacing the power supply?

Hey people. This Inspiron 531 since 2007 and he has been a champion for me. In the past months, the power supply fan start getting real loud (intermittently) so I finally looked around and found the same feed Integrator Delta on ebay. Put him in this afternoon very carefully, but while doing the 'blue' cable hard drive that connects to the motherboard is out the motherboard. There are two connections on the motherboard, SATA 0 and SATA 3. I have no idea who it was so I tried it reconnection to SATA 0 (which was blue too) and all turned on. There, I sat on the DELL screen and no full boot. Shut down and tried the SATA 3 connector and basically the same thing has happened although there was some funky boss on the lower part of the screen and still no full boot.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

Updated - I should also mention this power connectors P4 and P7 were not used until I swapped out.

And also when I try and start I get the DELL screen that shows the F2 and F12 Boot Menu on the top right of the screen.

    jodeluxe

The primary C: / SATA HDD, is connected to SATA 0 connector motherboard.

Are the P1 24 pins and power connectors 4 pin P2, connected to the motherboard?

Have you tried to remove and reinstall all the memory modules and the power data cables in front and all the readers and motherboard, to see if that makes a difference.

Check the power LED button reading, is stable blue, flashing blue, Orange fixed, blinking Amber?

Are there any 'beep', if there is, please publish the sequence of them?
