Install an application of eclipse via Desktop Manager on BB Phone

Hi all

I created a BB app, which works very well on the Simulator. now I'm trying to install it on the phone from BB from my friend. I put all deliverables (COD, jar, alx,...) in a single folder. Now when I try to install the application via the Desktop Manager, I get an error. I'm doing something wrong? Be the Simulator and the real phone of the same model?... I don't want to go in the direction of javaloader... I think that cumbersome... So what should I do to install it successfully through DM.

Thanks in advance.

Finally solved the problem. Copied all deliverables (jar, cod and alx, etc.) in the single folder. Connect the phone to the computer via a USB port. Copy the files in the memory card. Run the jad file and it works like a charm.

Whenever I sync my calendar here are some nominations (and/or changes of the appt) on my BB that do not move to Outlook and Outlook that do not move in my BB calendar.  It doesn't seem to be a model for those who don't synchronize.

    I use:

    Outlook 2002 SP3

    Desktop Manager 4.5

    BB Curve 8330

    MS Windows Prof 5.1 SP

    I tried:

  • BlackBerry smartphones using Desktop Manager to restore phone again

I have been using Desktop Manager v 4.7 with my Pearl 8130. Now I move to a Curve 8330 and want to know if I can use 4.7 DM to restore my Pearl settings and applications, etc. on the curve. If not, how is the best way to do it? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Yes DTM 4.7 works with all BB ball

Create the backup of the Pearl, if you have not already

Plug the curve and go for save/restore-configuration advanced

    upper-left click FILE - OPEN

    Select your backup of pearls

now on the left will be the backup, on the right is the curve

don't push the databases that you are interested in (contacts, calendar, etc) from left to right

  • BlackBerry smartphones lack all the contacts in the phone after the backup (via Desktop Manager)

Hi - my tour 9630 died, and after getting a new phone from verizon has opened the Office Manager to run the restore. I have now NO telephone contacts at all in my address book, but all my single email yahoo contacts are now in my phone. How can I recover my phone contacts?

WOW, FIXED! OK, so after playing with the phone for a while, I noticed another problem - I have had wayyyyy too much e-mail contcts; as in every yahoo only contact had synced my phone. so I went Googling issuing telephone directories, options and rset type who turned off Wi - Fi sync. then I restored (for the billionth time) and voila! no more contacts additional email and phone contacts are back.

Weird question and I wonder if this is normal?

is it possible to be notified before restoration you must disable your wireless sync (which I didn't even know was)?

Thank you blackberry forums! you solved my problem again!

  • Problem installing the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0 syncronization

I just installed Desktop Manager on a computer running XP. It loads well, but when I try to set up the synchronization that it crosses all the way says congratulations you have configured the product, and then you click Finish and it is said that another system has not been selected. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn't work. Any help?

Hi and welcome to the Forums! I can't tell if you tried this comprehensive procedure yet, so I'll give it to you to try...

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, Vista, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

    (3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

When I try to boot my desktop manager, I get the following message:

"The Application Loader Wizard requires BlackBerry device manager must be installed.  Please contact customer support. »

But it seems that Device Manager is installed and running correctly.  It is also strange that the Office Manager window title says "connected - BlackBerry Desktop Manager»

Then another box opens with the title, "Current task" and it displays the message:

"Verification of updates of device applications.  Please wait... »

I can't do anything while it checks updates and pressing the button cancel has no effect.  I end up having to close the Manager program office via the windows Task Manager.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the supplied CD and downloading the latest version of the desktop on the web Manager software.  I am running Vista Home Premium 64.  Anyone who can point me in the right direction to get my BB works fine on this computer?  (It works fine on my XP computer)

Bishop of BB desktop version is 5.0.0.11 July 1

    Hello!

    Clean uninstall instructions are here:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

You will probably have to start the computer in Mode safe to get to all this.

You can download and install any version you want here:

If you are synchornizing via USB (not), you should probably take a version compatible with your selected PIM:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

In addition, a good trick with Vista is to use run as administrator for this regarding tricks of BB - installs, executions, etc... sometimes, it's all a difference.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB ID vs Desktop Manager.

Hi all. first of all, sorry for the bad English (I'm Italian).

I have a 9320 curve, my first BB.

these screenshots to explain my problem:

    http://postimg.org/image/atzzxr1dx/

    http://postimg.org/image/6dnurrxt3/

    Firmware 7.1.0.714 (operator Wind Italy).

yesterday, I opened the Blackberry App World. He opens and invites me to update to Blackberry World (ok, the link to the site, download, install).

then I restarted and opened the world of Blackberry. It opens and invites me to update the Blackberry ID. Once again, successful update.

everything ok, but when I put all my phone (new applications, contacts/photos/music of the old...) I plug the 9320 for the Blackberry Desktop Manager for a backup and uninstall applications.

Blackberry Desktop Manager show upward with a pending (see the screenshot) operation: reinstall some 'old version' of "necessary software." the issue is that is NOT possible to turn off this operation. It reinstall the OLD BB ID, then the BB world would install the ID of the NEW BB Desktop Manager to reinstall the OLD...

    How can be fixed that?

on the desktop software, there is an option for him would not not to make the automatic updates. I suggest that you uncheck this option.

If you want to keep this option is checked, then you must install on your PC, the latest version of the OS for your 9320. Contact the wind if need is, you should be able to download it here:
    https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=C8758B517083196F05AC29810B924ACA
(it seems that you did not, because this is the same version 7.1.0.714...)

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not recognize BB Pearl 8110

    Hello

I recently bought a new desktop PC, with Vista 64 bit, but I can't get the BB Desktop Manager recognize my phone, I used version 4.7, 4.6 and 4.3 supplied on CD with the phone.  Vista recognizes the phone and install the drivers to add it as a USB mass storage device, but I can't get the BB Desktop Manager recognize the phone as being added.  I tried to install BB DM in different places, and my account is the administrator account.

    Thank you

OK, problem solved.  After wiping my HARD drive and reinstall Vista, I installed in first DM and she managed to pick up my phone, but after installing all the MB drivers and associated software, the phone stops being detected, if clearly something which is installed with the MB prevents the phone to be seen, just a process of trial and error to find the guilty software now.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager Blackberry Smartphones: Microsoft Outlook address book Sync

    Hi all

I just fixed my computer after a vista fail and have installed microsoft office 2007 with microsoft outlook connector for my hotmail.  I also installed the latest version of BB Desktop Manager, however when I try to set up my address book synchronization with outlook (configure > synchronization > sync 'Configure sync to my desktop computer settings'), I get the error Microsoft Outlook Connector, "a default profile is not found."

I'm not sure what it means, and I'd appreciate any help you can offer!

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

So that the BB to sync with email, it uses the MAPI profile to connect.

It seems that you do not have a MAPI profile configuration - probably because the Hotmail connector uses a special profile and not a standard MAPI profile...

You have a hotmail Pop3 account?

Can you implement a MAPI profile french: Control Panel - Mail

    That should make it work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones is it possible to see my phone numbers and addresses I saved in the blackberry Desktop Manager

I know it's maybe a silly question - but I was finally able to download the blackberry Desktop Manager and then back up all the data from my blackberry to my computer via Desktop Manager.  For my own peace of mind, I would like to see some of these data (addresses and phone numbers) just to make sure I did the back up properly.  Is this possible?

Well, your confidence level in the backup process is your own to define. Maybe if you start the restore process, but do not actually run it, DTM might give you indications of what it contains. I agree that I saw the posts of others who say that the backup was useless... but I have no way of judging if their characteristics are identical to yours.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Desktop Manager question

I just got a BB Storm today.  Installed the BB desktop on my computer Manager.  However, when I click on mamanger desktop icon to start, I get the message: "the component you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.  Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package "BlackBerry 8130.msi" in the box below. "I don't know what to do next.  Help!

Have you tried ALL the steps clean uninstall? If this is not the case, try ALL of them and then restart to see if you can install the new version of the Desktop Manager.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager vs Palm Desktop

Hi, I used different palm pilots for many years and recently replaced the Palm with a BB tour. I had hoped it looked like office to Palm Desktop, where you can view & edit calendar & coordinated directly instead of having to use the BB for all data entry, but I do not see this feature in Desktop Manager. Am I missing something? What a pity, if this is not available, it's the BB a much less attractive option for me.  Thank you, "Reg".

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Unlike other how things, RIM does not provide a desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Desktop Manager

Hi, im new BB who always used Nokia. One problem I've found is how to access and change the details of your telephone directory on the computer rather than the BB? I want to add addresses, move numbers autour etc. but may not know how. Bright ideas or am I missing something.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A few things to discuss... so bear with me...

So your choice is, IMO, to continue to use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO)... then choose a compatible PIM. Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:
