installation fails because of administrator privileges

I can't install Acrobat Pro without administrator privileges, but I am the administrator

I can't find anything for this mark as resolved. My son has finally come back to me and discovered that the Acrobat files were marked read only. Once he corrected that it installed fine.  Thank you for your efforts on my behalf.

  • Failure to upgrade to windows 8.1 8 because of administrator privileges

    Hi all

I'm having a problem installing windows 8.1 as when I try to download the error message says that I am not logged as an administrator. I checked this and I connected with administrator privileges. I have wiped my computer so that there is enough memory to accommodate and have disabled the anti virus software. I am at a loss as to what my next step should be, and would appreciate help

    Thank you

  • Why Adobe Application Manager doesn't stop downloads the installation fails because of corruption AAM

Adobe Application Manager - if installation fails for the first of all the products of CS6 Cloud with note that "MAO is damaged and must be reinstalled" why not ARREST all the others download (which then also fail for the same exact reason!) AAM?

In countries like here (New Zealand) who still have restrictive limits on their downloads, this would be VERY USEFUL!

    Cheers, Kevin

The error message stated that the MAA has been damaged and I should reinstall. However, I tried again (without reinstalling the AAM - I'm an optimist!) and all applications have now installed successfully.

  • The installation failed because the Windows Installer is underway

I try to install Gmail voice and video chat on my HPTouchsmart and get this error "failed to install because Windows Setup is in progress. Please wait for installers to complete, close all Windows Installer... "But I do not want to install anything else.  Anyone know how to fix this?  I had time to settle down before, but can't remember how I got around it (I remember it was a chore).

No, no process of Setup running, it's the annoying part.  It is apparently a known issue with Vista.  The solution below is annoying, but came from HP and the only one that I know that works:

  • Update XP to 7 - when I try to install the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite, which was an upgrade on XP, the installation fails because no previous Ms Office could be found.

There must be a solution out there, but I couldn't find it.  I need to reinstall Office 2007 Suite but cannot because my upgrade discs are looking for a previous installation and of course can't find it.  The version of MS Office, where I have improved in XP has a physically BROKEN DRIVE!  Now what?

Contact MS Support & see if you can get a free replacement disc, Fern. Without it, you're sunk. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 (if the earlier version of Office was preinstalled by the OEM, you need to get the replacement on their part.)

  • Installation fails because the MA is not Photoshop

    Hello

I'm having a problem with an extension I wrote for Photoshop CS5 (Flash Builder + CS SDK).

On Mac, it installs and runs; I have a PC user (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) that tells me an extension manager error message that says something like this (I translate from Italian):

"Cannot install the extension: it requires Photoshop version 12 or later.

The user obviously has the entire suite CS5, so he is puzzled, as I am.

Just in case you want to know, the MXI lines for the product is:

    < Products >

    < product name = "Photoshop" version = "12" primary = "true" / >

    < / product >

and once again, no problem with Mac.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance,

    Davide

Because Photoshop has 32-bit and 64-bit, so you must specify product name in the mxi as file below:

A better way is to specify the familyname attribute in file mxi for 32-bit and 64-bit and Mac and Windows. When familyname attribute is specified, the name attribute is ignored. The example is shown below:

  • Installation failed in the MAO "Admin privileges".

    Hello

I'm under 27 "iMac, mid 2011, OSX 10.8.3. When I try to install Photoshop, I am prompted to enter my Admin password. The password is accepted, but MAO told me that the installation failed because "administrator privileges are required for installation." One account on the Mac and it's the admin. A set the download for "Anywhere" permissions in the security and privacy preferences panel. Have firewall set to "automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections. I'm puzzled.

EDIT * uninstalling and reinstalling MAO seems to have solved the problem. My setting listed above have not changed. Thank you *.

  • L7680 installation fails when reinstalled windows because it needs administrator rights, but it is

I had some problems with my laptop with Windows 7, so I did a windows repair (not a clean reinstall).  Now my Officejet pro L7680 works as a printer, but many features do not work, and the HP Solution Center starts. So I tried to reinstall the center of HP solutions from the original disk, but it fails because it must be in administrator mode.  BUT IT IS IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE! I have rebooted, tried safe mode, close the printer/disable... stil can't install HP.

    Hi foxyjoe,

What was the reason behind the windows repair?

It is possible since you reinstall from scratch you have still some problems with your operating system. Follow the steps below and let me know what happens?

    First step: clear temp directory

    1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
    2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
    3. Proceed to step 2 below

Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

1 download the drivers and full software features

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=2512009

    2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

    3. when the installation window opens, press the Cancel button to stop the installation

    4. tap folder in the race or search programs and files of field

    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

    6. right click on the folder and select copy

    7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

    9 open the Util folder

    10 open the CCC folder

    11. start the L4uninstall.exe

    12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

    14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

15 open the 7z folder and then double-click the Setup.exe file that will be towards the bottom of the open window. Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Let me know if you are able to successfully install the software and driver and are able to print & scan?

  • 4-1105 envy: windows 8.1 upgrade fails: no administrator privileges

I just replaced with SSD HD failure and made a successful recovery of original Windows Recovery HP USB key 8. Now let me turn to 8.1 (and eventually to win 10). When I launch the upgrade of the Windows store, I get the message "you must account with administrator privileges to install Windows 8.1, try to log in with an administrator account...". ». But I AM AN ADMINISTRATOR. So what to do?

ERICO, the link to user MS provided shows a trail of many suggestions failed, a lot of frustration, but also calls for Microsoft to resolve the problem, with no direct response from Ms. So I can't really give you a little nudge upwards because the link leads to a "known PROBLEM" while I need a solution "known."

I found creating a new Admin user, restart and connect as active user download. derdnik responded on 17 January 2014 with the same solution.

  • Installation failure: administrator privileges are required to install

    Hello

I bought a license team to Adobe CC the other day for two seats. I added the two users, they have both accepted the license. They have both got the storage of 100 GB and Adobe Application Manager where they will be able to download the apps.

Now, one of them could download them.

But it is impossible. When the user clicks on 'install' in one of the applications, he receives a message saying ' Installation Failed: administrator privileges are required to install.» Please try again, or cancle, or install later. "We tried everthing all day without any solution.

BTW, this user is the administrator too. So there must be more privileged than the other!

We tried to remove him and add another email instead, the same problem occurs.

We tried to install in another computer, same thing.

We are sure that the license is for two users, as it is said: ""you bought 2 seats of your dealer. ".

    Please help us.

    Hello

Thanks for the reply, but it wasn't the cause of the problem.

After many trials, I've figured out, the problem was caused by the Adobe Application Manager provided with the cloud, he has not worked with mac osx for some reason any.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled manually from adobe.com and it worked like a charm!

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.
