Installation hangs at 70%

I'm trying to install Windows 7 64 bit on my computer on Windows Vista 32-bit.  I downloaded official Microsoft / Digital River ISO and USB/DVD download tool, created my bootable DVD and booted from it to custom install Windows 7 on my Windows Vista activated.  When I arrived at the long stage (extension of the files, I think it was), my installation lingered for awhile to 69% and then stops at 70%.  I got the following error message:

"Windows cannot install required files.  The file may be corrupted or missing.  Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.  "Error code: 0 x 80070017.

I checked the lecteur_systeme: \$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log file and uploaded a screenshot of the end of it here.

Does anyone have an idea of what is happening, or have any suggestions for me?  Thank you!

    Hello

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

  • BI installation hangs on step 5 - Administrator Details

    Hello

I downloaded Oracle Business Intelligence, v. 11.1.1.3.0 and try to install it.

But the installer hangs on the details page administrator - step 5, after checking the settings of all other systems are very good!

I checked several times that I have enter valid administrator username and password.

What could be the problem and how can I get in this step, please?

    LeonMatch,

You will need to install the loopback adapter to fix this password error during the installation of 11 g. Its a sine qua non for OBIEE 11 g to call the IP of the host file. It is defined in this way, you can go through the documentation for it.

    Instructions to install rear loop:

To manually install Microsoft Loopback card in Windows XP, follow these steps:
    1. click on start and then click Control Panel.
    2. If you are in Classic view, click on switch to the display of the categories under control panel in the left pane.
    3. double-click on printers and other devices, and then click Next.
    4. under See also, in the left pane, click Add Hardware, and then click Next.
    5. click on Yes, I have already connected the hardware, and then click Next.
    6. at the bottom of the list, click Add a new hardware device, and then click Next.
    7. click on install the hardware that I manually select from the list and then click Next.
    8. click on network adapters, and then click Next.
    9. in the manufacturer box, click Microsoft.
    10. in the network adapter box, click the Microsoft Loopback adapter, and then click Next.
    11. click on finish.

After that, go to the network configuration and look for the back loop network adapter and configure it with a static IP address, such as (192.168.1.1) as follows:

After the step above, if the box has lost the network connection to the rest of the real network. Then go back and re - configure the network adapter physical in the way it was (for example, DHCP). Because of the feedback loop, the LISTENER. ORA should be updated to reflect the new static IP address assigned above as part of the configuration of loop back.

    Kind regards
    -Laurence.

I try to get several games running, but am stuck by the demands to DirectX 9 c. My machine is Windows 7, so it's DX11 installed. I went here to download the web installer:

Are there instructions anywhere to update DirectX to hand?

    Thanks for any help.

Steve, thanks for your suggestion. Running at startup using the minimum does not solve the problem, but it got me thinking in the right direction.

I finally put in the Win7 disc and 'fix '. It is really a re - install, but the programs and data are stored.

  • Vista installation hangs on the end of the installation during clean installation

Hello, I'm having a problem installing a clean installation of Windows Vista Home Basic on Acer laptop from my friend.

For starters, my friend got a red anti virus that has destroyed more or less its windows.  After doing a restore of the system for the first available date, the virus had disappeared, but Windows kept asking me how to open simple things like Internet Explorer and various other programs, which means that the OS is unusable.  My friend gave me permission to format the drive and I reinstalled Vista with a DVD of my I had to leave one of my PC, but I used the CD key on the laptop.  The installation went well, I went on my desktop PC and downloaded all the drivers for his laptop (Aspire 5516), and then installed a sound card driver and an update of the BIOs.  After updating the BIOs, the laptop starts again.  I tried to do a system restore but it had no restore points, then because I just started, I thought a quick format wouldn't hurt.
This is where things went wrong.  I tried to reinstall Vista again, but it keeps hanging on the part "complete installation."  I tried three times so far and it always crashes at the same exact part, and now I have no idea what to do.
Any suggestion or help would be appreciated, thanks.

The copy of Vista, I use came from my college that I got for free to be in a computer SCIENCE major.  This isn't a particular manufacturer.

EDIT: I apologize for not to say that from the beginning.  It is never used because I already had 7 at this time.
In any case, I changed my BIOs native IDE or something of the sort, and I have Vista start.  I'm in shock, but I guess that when I flashed the BIOs, it's turned back on it to the wrong setting or something.  That's all I can think about.
  • Installation hangs during the installation of Adobe Pdf Reader, MS Doc Viewer free of charge and same VS2010 c# Express

For the last two months that I had trouble setting things in general, for example MS doc viewer for free and VS2010 c# Express.

Yesterday, I tried to install the new version of Adobe Pdf Reader and had exactly the same problem again. I double-click on the executable installer, that it goes right up to 100% on the preparation and when it gets to the point when it should start the installation itself that the computer just hangs and installation does not.

I'm almost certain that this is not a virus I have an up-to-date antivirus and run a scan complete of all the two days. He has never had any problems there.

Anyone know what goes wrong? How do I put right?

    Help, please.

Here's how to solve problems with Windows Installer: http://www.ehow.com/how_4813669_fix-vista-problems-windows-installer.html.

If this does not work, try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html and see if that helps.

Try to reinstall Windows Installer: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en.

I hope this helps.  If this is not the case, the issue may not be with the installer, but another problem, and we need to solve problems to try to find the problem.  Post back if this does not work and we will try other options.

    Good luck!

  • Vista business 32-bit installation hangs on how to complete the installation...

I have a laptop Acer Aspire 5532 with Windows 7 64 bit.  I want to install Vista 32 bit Business in a dual-boot configuration. (This configuration uses a commercial software test system)

I created a partition logic, then booted from the Vista DVD, installed everything properly, but it always hangs on the last step when it's loading drivers.  Last page after the restart of the States: end of the installation... And then it crashes.

I also tried to install on the main (active) partition without Windows 7 that have the same thing happen.

I looked online and see that many people have the same problem, but none of their solutions worked for me.  The only thing I have not tried is to load an earlier version of BIOS.

    Thanks for any help!

First, go to the site of the manufacturer of your computer, and check to see if your model computer has Vista drivers available for him...

If the Vista drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.
