Installation of DRM

We currently use hyperion (foundation, en, essbase and planning services) 11.1.2.0.0 on the 64-bit unix. We have the 32-bit windows print server, 2003. We need to install DRM 11.1.2.1.0 in this machine.
Do we not have to install the services of the Foundation on the windows machine before installing the DRM? and services of this Foundation will be compatible with the UNIX server. As we 11.1.2.0.0 on unix and windows service foundation, we have 11.1.2.1.0 the services of the Foundation?

Do we really need to install the Foundation services for DRM?

Any information on this will be helpful

Thank you

If you plan to use external or mixed authentication or use the Web Service API in your custom applications, then you need services Foundation, otherwise, you can run DRM without it.

  • DRM configuration

    Hi all

We have Foundation server is installed on the Linux Server (2 instances of Foundation on 2 different Linux servers)

We have installed on Windows DRM box.

I try to configure DRM, but when the CSS configuration, I wonder about CSS bridge host entry.

Hosts in CSS Bridge installed with the installation of DRM, I see that CSS bridge can be insalled on one server other than DRM Windows as well, but I can't find installable sound.

We expect to have CSS bridge on server DRM itself but was curious as to if it is installed during installation of DRM, and if so, then how can I confirm/verify the same?

  • Windows media player 11 in XP does not play DRM files

I have a new installation of SP3 and the latest WMP11 on XP Home.

I get this error when I try to play any DRM file any provider:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/Webhelp/default.aspx?&mpver=11.0.5721.5262&ID=C00D11B1&ContextId=71&OriginalID=80070057
You met the C00D11B1 error message when you use Windows Media Player.
    Original Original error error Code
80070057 one or more arguments are invalid.

All other types of video or audio files that are not protected by DRM play without problem, so there is no problem with the audio device or the ID3 headers because none of the DRM files I've tried are MP3s.

Many hours of research I find that the error is returned for various problems. I tried all the solutions, and none of them solve the problem.  It may be missing or conflicting codecs like all types of files not DRM play without problem. The quartz.dll is recorded and uncorrupted. I reinstalled WMP11 several times. I have reset the DRM with Microsoft tools both Netlix and individualized WMP11 using several MS individualazition sites and by force using the command-line of the several times with each reinstall.

The last thing I tried is to use the resetDRM tool and not to individualize and then installed Amazon Unbox for rentals and video purchases. I ran the troubleshooting included in Unbox and let individualize WMP11, then troubleshooting reported no problems with my set-up. I downloaded a free file short Amazon and although he'll play the Amazon unbox player, trying to read the file in WMP11 always returns the same error as before and therefore trying to play one of the other DRM files I have.

If someone has another solution or an idea of what to check that the usual suspects?

    Hello

Sometimes, this problem can be caused contributions file included with the MP3 ID3 headers. Make a copy of the file and then use an ID3 tag non - editing program Microsoft to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers.

    Caution:

    • Try to remove ID3 headers might damage the file and make it unplayable. Therefore, always make a copy of the file before editing.
    • Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • DRM permission disappear

I got a laptop HP C727 running Vista. At about 43 digital films downloaded on it. Never gave me a problem.

I decided that I needed a laptop again, stronger so I bought a HP dv7-6c95dx and upgraded windows home 7 to Windows 7 Professional. I started to re - install all my old films. It necessary to contact each studio separately to acquire new authorization codes. Once received, I installed movies digital download as well as the new authorization code. Check each film separately to ensure they work. No problem, they did it. I then start installing newer movies with authorization codes. So far so good. Everything worked as it should with the exception of several not appearing is not in the Media Player library.

A few days later, we were on a trip and I decided to watch a movie. No one would work. Everyone I had installed now asking the authorization code. And of course, the codes are no longer valid.

What is going on? It took almost a month just to get my old movie back installed, new codes, etc.

How does the DRM goes? No new programs have been installed.

    Help, please

    Gregory Beech

    Hello

This problem occurs because the DRM store on the computer is not valid or is corrupted. This problem may occur for one of the following reasons:

    • The processor of the computer has been changed.
    • The computer motherboard has been changed.
    • A base of input/output (BIOS) system parameter that affects the computer hardware has been changed. For example, hyperthreading has been disabled.
    • The hard disk on which the media content has been downloaded has been moved a computer to another computer.
    • An application, such as the RegClean utility, changed the parameters of DRM in a way that caused the corruption.
    • Microsoft Windows has been reinstalled on the computer.

Note DRMs, such as Microsoft Windows Product Activation, maintain an internal hardware ID. This ID is based on the hardware configuration that existed during the installation of Windows or installing Windows Media Player 11. If you change the processor of the computer or other devices, the hardware in the DRM system ID does not match the new computer configuration. When this occurs, DRM determines that a user has tried to move the content protected to a different computer. This behavior can also occur if the storage protected by DRM in the Windows registry has been changed.

Do not worry! Let's try the following and check:

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

You can run the Windows Media Player Library convenience store & check if you are able to rip CDs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Step 2:

Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-settings-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

To resolve this issue, reset the DRM Bank on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) If Windows Media Player 12 is running, quit Windows Media Player 12.

    (b) locate the DRM folder on the hard disk, and then rename the folder to DRMbackup DRM.

Note By default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows XP:

    %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

By default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows Vista:

    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

    (c) visit the following Microsoft Web site:

    http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp

    (d) follow the instructions on the website to update the safety component of Windows Media Player 11. This procedure allows you to obtain new licenses for media content. You can also reset licenses for purchased content so that you can play that content on a computer.

Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, you must run Internet Explorer as an administrator before update you the safety component of Windows Media Player 11. To do this, follow these steps:

o click Startand then click all programs.

o click on Internet Explorer, and then click run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

Note You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.

If you need help on this or you need help on Windows keep us informed.

We will be happy to help you!

  • XP installation after success (upgraded version) Win7 clean installation to activate Win7

I made the mistake of creating discs MBR too small for one operating system other than XP or Linux. Shortly after installation, I've been unable to update my Win 7 due to lack of space on the hard disk (all programs, I could change the installation, were on a separate disk). This meant that I had to wipe the hard drive it repartition. I was under the impression that I could upgrade to Win 7 installed cleansing by putting the disc and having Windows check for this, as when I upgraded from ME to XP. (Yes, I realize now has the error of my ways.) Now, I need to fix it. Add to that, I have XP 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7.

After contacting support Microsoft product, I was told that I could simply reinstall my XP and Win 7 would acknowledge that he was there and has set up the dual boot. This is not the case, as I suspected. In the reformat, I lost some data that I thought that I had saved and obviously didn't, this is why I don't really want reinstall Win 7 a third time after reinstalling XP.

I have no windows.old due to reformat/repartition of my drive. Is there anything else I can do? (I am so tired of being penalized with DRM, activation etc for the purchase of software licensed because of all the pirates out there!)

Any help and suggestions for this pathetically badly informed/less educated (Win7) want to be a geek?

  • BlackBerry smartphones, which is DRM OS?

    Hello

I'm confused by the different versions of the operating system for the 9520. I see that some are DRM versions and some are non - DRM.

I know that DRM stands for Digital Rights Management, but I don't see what that has to do with a phone OS?

Could someone please explain that to me?

    Thank you very much

    Graham.

You must have another DRM OS installed on the PC.

In this DRM OS, delete the files in the JAVA folder.

Now, install the OS on the PC nodrm. Once completed, move the files in the folder nodrm JAVA to the empty JAVA drm folder.

Now, remove the OS of PC nodrm.

    Run loader.exe and installs.

  • How to remove the computers that no longer exist for playing music protected by DRM?

It seems that I have exceeded the number of computers authorized to play music I bought via WMP.  The total is 5, but which includes at least one computer that has been discontinued, and two reformat and reinstall Windows.  The first was a upgrade Vista Win7 frm, and the 2nd was a reformatting and reistall XP Home at least once, maybe twice.  (In other words, whenever the operating system has been reinstalled, the machine was newly authorized without radiation, allowing the previous installation.)

Something I could do myself online would be great, but I'm ready to call support and wait on hold for a while if needed.

    Thank you

    CN

    Hello

From which site you downloaded the music files?

You may be able to resolve the problem by restoring your media usage rights. You can check the options below:

    a. you got the file from a store online, the store might offer media usage rights (license) restoration. (Some stores see this procedure of activation of the computer, computer authorization, restoration of the library, or license synchronization).

The procedure for the restoration of your rights vary from one store to the other. For some stores, you might need to click Browse all stores online in the lower left corner of the player, click the store in the list, install the store software and then click on a link, customer service or account management on the store page.

Some stores allow to restore the usage rights at all. For more information on the store's policies, see the support to the customer of the store or the help information.

For more information on access to online stores, see
Shop online in Windows Media Player.

    1 stop the DRM service.

    2 make a backup of drm-config. XML

    3 uninstall DRM

4 rename the old under EPM home DataRelationshipManagement installation directory so that we know, there are no files of the old installation where we reinstall

    OPTIONAL

5 check that .NET 3.5 SP1 with the appropriate fixes installed on the system.

    6. check that all pour.NET/ASP.NET Web Server Extensions in particular have been properly activated.

7 run aspnet_regiis.exe directory .NET 3.5 on this system. The relevant aspnet_regiis.exe will be under %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\ for .NET 3.5.

    8. run IISReset.exe

9 re-install DRM in the same as before installation directory - which will be a new directory, of course.

    10. Rename drm - config.xml and restore your backup of this file.

11 start the DRM service and test.

  • DRM of EBS GL (no merge)

I've been here earlier describing the integration between DRM and eBS GL.  I found the interface boards and published directly to them the values and hierarchies and what seemed like the properties required of eBS.  I published an account hierarchy and all of the leaf members that are on this account hierarchy.

We are trying to pick up the stored procedure from there, publish it to GL from there (on the tables GL_DRM_SEGVALUES_INTERFACE and GL_DRM_HIERARCHY_INTERFACE box) to the Base Oracle tables.  We have found the stored procedure but got some errors so far.

Can anyone predict problems that we can meet or anticipate what are the mandatory fields?  One of the mistakes we have made is to set the summary indicator.

Denz said earlier that the installation of the API with GL is "capricious" or something like that.

    Sheila

    Hi Sheila,

I had know what the summary indicator me was at one time

Unless something has changed the summary indicator is defined by the OracleGL.Parent property in DRM which should hopefully be mapped in the DRM export used to populate the tables of GL interface. 1603836.1 Note that I wrote after having solved my headache with a problem of integration of DRM is an explanation of how this DRM property is developed.

I do not agree with Denz DRM web service configuration and integration with EBS GL can be quite difficult at times, but once it is up and running is usually strong enough in my experience. If above doesn't help if let us know the errors being considered and anyone must be able to provide pointers, I think.

  • Winodws 8 DRM security update fails

Major update the DRM security component problems.

in my user account which is administrator, under IE, WMP12, Windows Media Center and Amazon Unbox Video Player not high and as that administrator, in 32 & 64 bit versions as appropriate, all attempts to update fail. I tweaked the security settings in WMP and IE nothing helps. I also tried with norton both active and disabled.

everything is happening so fast, but I'm sure that with all the errors of the download of the update phase has already completed, so there is a problem with the installation.

Interestingly, when I enabled the administrator account and tried to update the security component, it worked, BUT these changes for some reason any has not fixed the problem in my main user account.

Ideas?  Your help is very appreciated!

He ends up being the fix "rename the folder to DRMBackup" who have worked (as described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925705 ).  I'm confused by the folder "decoy" to c:\programdata\microsoft\DRM.  all the guides had the file correctly mapped to c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\DRM. This file is double secret hidden by the setting "Hide protected system files" display and only appear with the standard 'show hidden files and folders '.

a great trip to the top was looking in the registry for the DRM folder, the key to all the guides have online are to identify the location of the DRM folder for 32-bit windows, the registry key to the location of the DRM folder for 64-bit windows is hkey_local_machine\software\wow6432node\microsoft\DRM\datapath

hope this helps someone who made similar errors
