Installation of HP Phphotosmart 2610xi on HP Pavilion dv5237cl Notrbook using Vista

When I try to install it I get the message that it is not compatible with this system.  He is good with XP but not Vista.  I know there is a way to solve this problem, but I don't know what it is.

The 2610 came out before the release of VIsta so the drivers on the CD are for XP.  You can download the drivers from HP hereor order a CD with Vista drivers.

If you have the duplexer (optional on the 2610) you want the patch to fix the problem of the rear head downwhen using the duplexer.

Kind regards

  • Drivers for HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium, downgrade to XP Pro

I have a laptop HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium. Want to downgrade to XP Pro and have an OEM drive to do. Can someone help me find the drivers to complete this process?
    Thank you!

    http://welcome.HP.com/country/us/en/support.html

Look at the link above of HP XP drivers.

If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.

If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.

Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.

Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.

    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp

Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.

Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.

  • HP Pavilion dv5237cl Notebook intermittently Shuts Down Due to a thermal event, fan stops working

    Basics:

    HP Pavilion dv5237cl

    Windows XP SP3 32 bit

    PCMCIA SATA card

1 TB WD Scorpio blue HARD drive

Computer laptop with 200mm fan cooling pad

    Some USB devices

    Latest drivers and BIOS

Note: This problem also occurs with Windows 8.

For the last year my HP Pavilion dv5237cl turned off because of the fan does not work.  I have never seen the term "Thermal event" displayed prior to or on restart.  Usually just abruptly, he died.   I also saw a few BSOD that are not very descriptive to pointing to what the cause was and may be not related.  The laptop usually just stops working and goes out, maybe once every couple of days if it is caught in time.  I HAV been using a Defragmenter memory to help as appropriate the BSOD were due to low memory resources.  I am tracking the temperature of the CPU and have noticed that it is high, when the fan is not working.  I saw up to 85 C and I'm not sure but think that the laptop stops at 100 ° C.  The fan is usually always go at least to a low hum.  Usually, on startup, I get a strong burst of activity fan and if this isn't the case I'm clued in to a fan, not to exploit the condition.

If I take a PIN regularly and carefully stitch it through the opening in the fan and cause rotate the blades of the fan, the fan will usually start working.  It sometimes takes a few tries.  I noticed the fan poll as it is sometimes wobbling and resembling a noise of ball bearing, but I think it is also maybe a hinged fan.  Some hopping may be due to the time that I used the pin code.  Fan usually settled in a low purr and lately with some ball light bering sound, maybe just wobble.  If I'm not there when the fan stops working or do not notice to try to remedy with a PIN, then the laptop stops due to excessive heat.

Things I've tried or thought of trying:

-J' I used canned and out air / blow accumulated debri from inside the vacuum cleaner to suck up and cleaned the vents.

-J' I add the cooler that keeps time less around 5 c.  The laptop temperature was 55 to 62 C this winter.

-Install the latest drivers and BIOS.

    -Tried to use Windows 8.

-J' bought a replacement fan but did not want to disassemble the laptop to install it and also not be

not know if it is really a material fan or a control sensor or other hardware problem or software problem.

Thanks in advance.  Help to solve this problem would be appreciated.

I understand that your laptop stops due to overheating.

Given the behavior and how the fan no longer works and must be "started" once again, this does not sound like a fan failure.  Page 5-60 of this guide details the process of replacing the fan and the heatsink in Notepad.  If this is something you'd rather not do it yourself, you could contact a local PC shop for the fan and the heat sink replaced.

  • Pavilion 500-420nl: installation of a new GPU in HP Pavilion 500-420nl

Hello everybody, basically, I bought a HP Pavilion 500-420nl PC and decided to improve a bit with a new power SUPPLY and GPU. The new PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630W and the GPU is Sapphire R9 270 X double-X OC. The problem is that when I insert the GPU and connect the 2 connectors of 6 pins, I get only a black screen. There is no beeps, the fan runs but the screen remains black. I deleted the old GPU drivers and the new one is plugged correctly, but there is only a black screen. The motherboard should be compatible with the GPU, seeing that it has a PCI-E x 16 slot 3.0. What could be the problem?

  • Missing drivers for the new installation of XP SP 3 on HP Pavilion 500-202eo

    Hello.

So I tried to make XP SP 3 to work on my new desktop HP Pavilion 500-202eo. I have partioned the disk in two and was able to install and modify Windows 7 on the other partition, largely with the support of the HP drivers for my model successfully. However I have not found any support for XP drivers for this model, or any other similar models in the 500 series with APU AMD A6 material - 6400 k Radeon HD graphics card. Installing XP went well, but I'm not having any sound, internet or USB 3 support options. In Device Manager, the following components are marked in yellow with the error code 28:

Audio device on High Definition Bus Audio

    Ethernet controller

    Network controller

    SM Bus controller

    USB controller Universal Serial Bus

    Video controller VGA compatible

I tried to install the drivers Realtek for XP at least addressing the absence of sound, but it doesn't seem to make a difference, and when I point the Add Wizard of material on file with the drivers Realtek he says that it cannot find the correct drivers. You have any suggestions where I can find the software needed?

    Hello:

I doubt that you will be able to do all this work, but that's...

Your PC has the IDT audio controller so the Realtek audio drivers do not work.

First install the AMD chipset driver and restart. You want the first file in the list.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%20XP%20-%20Professional/home & RenderOnServer = true

Graphics: See if this driver works...

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/desktop?OS=Windows%20XP%20-%20Professional/home & RenderOnServer = true

Ethernet: DL and install the driver Windows of the 3rd group of ethernet cards (pilots AR816X QCA817X family). It would be the last driver in the section.

    http://www.QCA.Qualcomm.com/resources/driverdownloads/

Try this driver for the wireless card:

  • installation of a new dvd in hp pavilion a730n burner

My old dvd burner installed in these slick ide cables.  This new dvd burner has e-sata cables and said to connect on a direct x 9 sound card.  There is a card plugged into the motherboard but I don't think it's a sound card and there is no cable on this topic e-sata port.  I think my computer has an internal sound card?  I can see if a cluster of four e-sata ports of different color on the lower right corner of the motherboard.  One of the ports, the black has an e-sata cable that comes from a rectangular box at the front of the computer (hard drive?).  The other three ports are empty and different colors. Connect the cable e-sata burner dvd into one of these ports?  And if so, is it important what color?

Thanks for any help, I'm not very computer literate.

  • Pavilion 500-189: usefulness of adding additional memory to a computer desktop Pavilion 500-189

Hi - I think adding memory RAM additional to my desktop HP Pavilion computer model 500-189, bought in February 2014. It runs under Windows 10 home ed., 64 bit with RAM total to 10 GB. The computer has 4 memory slots and currently only 2 are used: slot 1 has a card 2 GB Hynix/Hyundai 1600 MHz and slot 2 has a card 8 GB Kingston 1600 MHz.

I'm currently pondering adding a single 4 GB DDR3 1600 MT/s PC3-12800 CL11 map of 240 pin unbuffered UDIMM in each of the last two slots to bring the memory total amount up to 18 GB. The total cost would be less than US $40.

My question: This inexpensive upgrade will not improve the performance of my computer or is - this exaggeration only change?

Comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Graphene, welcome to the forum.

Now, we are dealing here with reviews.  The sweet spot for memory seems to be 8 GB with Win 10.  In fact, I read that you will be hard to see a difference between 8 and 16 GB.  I use a laptop of Omen HP with 8 GB memory game.  It manages all the games that I played very well.  As you said, you already have 10 GB of memory and the processor is very fast.

Yet once, is discussed in the opinion.  In my opinion, the best upgrade that can be done today is an SSD.  My HP Omen loads games and programs incredibly quick and starts in 7 seconds or less.  I used a Samsung EVO 840 500 GB SSD in HP Phoenix Gaming desktop computer.  Again, it was incredibly fast.  Here is the SSDthat are recommended by Crucial memory.  They make great products for OEM computers.  I found the research that Samsung SSD seem to work better with HP motherboards and normally don't require changes to the BIOS works properly out of the box.   In addition, Samsung has its own Migration of data and Software Wizard software to fine-tune the SSD after installation.

This should give you pause.  If you decide to go with an SSD, I'd be happy to tell you how I did the installation.  It has worked well for me.
