Installation of the monitor three Lenovo E550?

OK, so I have a Lenovo E550 and OneLink Pro Docking Station (the one with the RFP, and DVI Ports).

So when I got to my laptop, I was able to connect successfully three external monitors to your laptop. 1 using the VGA Port on the side of the laptop and then using the DP and DVI ports. (I close my laptop and turn off the laptop screen). However this provoked touching every two seconds. I honestly didn't mind, because it is a work laptop and I do not have anything too serious on this subject.

Now however I can't even use the VGA monitor if the onelink is attached. It will be either twinkle extremely fast, or just simply stay black. If I disconnect the Onelink however I use the monitor perfectly.

I thought the solution would be to switch to the use of the HDMI Port, but it would seem that the HDMI Port is disabled when the OneLink is plugged in, because I don't get a signal on my HDMI Port when the OneLink is connected, if I disconnect the OneLink if my HDMI works perfectly well.

So is there any way to get this configuration works correctly? I've updated all the drivers and firmware, I switched to a different E550, I swapped a different OneLink and a different charger for the OneLink and it seems that the problem persists through on everything.

Thanks for any help!

In response to customer relationships of flickering or flashing on external monitors connected to E550 laptop via VGA, a CUTTING-EDGE Service port was released.

It can be found here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/SF15-T0074

Thank you

The "Software Installation" window will open on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

I have a dual display setup. A 225WS 1680 x 1050 monitor LG is connected via a VGA cable and a VGA - DVI converter to a DVI port on a Radeon 6850 video card. The second screen is a Samsung HDTV set at 1920 x 1080 and connected via HDMI on the same video card. I have set up the screen LCD as main monitor and the Samsung HDTV as the extended display. HDTV is most of the time, but I use it at least once a day. This isn't a driver problem, because it happened also when I had an old Nvidia video card and it is fixed by a new installation of windows and setting up of screens from a square.

The installer works great almost all the time except when I try to use some programs or Windows functions (7). When I try to start the MozBackup application or I pop in a new usb device and click on the notification bubble, both these windows (MozBackup and the "Driver software Installation" window) open in the center of the HDTV as opposed to the LCD (which is defined as primary). The problem is that the views are ~ 3 meters out and HDTV is mostly off.

I sent a bug report to the developer of MozBackup because this part is perhaps a problem with its software or what old Windows functions and hooks it uses, but the window "Installing the driver software" (or who knows what other program Windows Basic) has exactly the same problem and is part of Windows.

What can I do about it? I DIDN'T put the displays in any mode "clone" to have office in mirror between them. Is - this fixable somehow? I guess that is not a problem with the video card drivers because I used two different video cards with either the manufacturer or windows update drivers and the problem is the same.

    Hello

In my opinion the previous action (installation of the catalyst hotkeys and reinstalled the hotkey driver) is the reason why the FN + F5 does not work properly.

In my opinion, you should clean the registry first.
Use CCleaner. It s free and cleans up the registry.
In addition, you must remove the catalyst shortcut keys because this may affect the Toshiba FN Hotkey feature.
Finally, install the Toshiba drivers from the Toshiba page
More info (right on the Toshiba driver page), you will find details on the tools simple and drivers and what are they for...

  • Installation of the HP 550 display driver > black screen; restart: black screen.

It seems my HP 550 (Celeron 1.73 GHz, 2 GB ram, x 3100, graphics etc.) does not accept the display driver which is available at the hp driver download page.

I also tried an of intel directly, with exactly the same results on W2k SP4 and Windows XP SP2 home edition.

During the installation of the driver, at some point after the copy, the system goes to a command prompt-looking on the back with a cursor blinking for a few seconds, it looks like its running a batch in full screen or similar file.

After that, I guess, try to use a new display mode - without guest - and breaks down (screen becomes quite dead).

I have to turn the system and then turn if I want to do something with it.

Windows seems to start, but after the logo "xp" screen gets dead/black again.

On a normal pc I start in safe mode and change the display settings, but I can't do with this laptop for some reason any:

After starting in safe mode, I can't change the resolution or color settings, and also I can not change the settings for the "monitor".

(The monitor settings are just disabled, the color and resolution can be changed, but apply new settings just does not do anything).

IM at a loss, and, since I have no experience with laptops, I came here

Thanks in advance for any ideas...

I wanted to just report, I just formatted the entire hard drive and reinstalled from scratch with a different win xp cd (sp3 and sata drivers included), now the gfx drivers work as they should and display works fine.

  • Computer does not start after running the utility Boot Lenovo.

    Hello
I replaced the power supply with a CX550M of Corsair, increased memory by exchanging the 4 GB to 8 GB for a 16 GB total, I added a hybrid 2 TB Seagate HDD and all worked fine until yesterday, about 1 month.
Yesterday, I decided to run all the tests of the Lenovo startup disk and after that I restarted, the computer does not start.
When I press the power button, the fan starts and it stops after 3 or 4 seconds and nothing happens, the monitor says no signal, I removed the external USB disk and printer, I reoved the second drive and the same thing heppens.
Any idea what this problem could be? Would it be a bad power supply?
    Thank you

    Mario

Resolved, I erased the memory CMOS, moved to following ankle boot, back up the cmos.

  • HP T610 more: HPDM deployment for t610 image more crashes during the installation of the new initial start of the image

We are working on the update of our thin clients HP T610 more.  Update us the thin clients in the last image of the OS WES7P and also update to IE11 and Citrix receiver 4.4.

    We use HPDM 4.6.4

We have successfully several T610s and update the image of the OS and related software with no problems.  We are then able to use the 4.6.4 to successfully shoot HPDM and image of these thin clients updated in the master repository.

We then create a task to deploy the new image to several thin clients.  We configure the task to use the imagery being cached, and then run the task.  HPDM then successfully deploys the image for thin clients.

Customers accept the image cache and once the image is fully downloaded they restart to deploy the image.   After the restart, the image unfolds and decompresses correctly, then the thin client, start the original installation of Windows.

But for 90% or more of these newly imaged thin clients that they get hung up during the installation of Windows (usually during the message that windows is written to the Registry).  Once the thin clients get hung at this stage they are inaccessible and unrecoverable by HPDM and must be copied via USB.

We believe that the issue is somehow related monitors are connected to thin clients.  If isolate us completely thin clients monitors, then deploy an image the new image is OK.  HPDM reports that the image has been deployed successfully.  If we then go back to thin clients and reconnect the monitors of the thin client is updated and the screen seems to be in standard vga mode low resolution.  A restart of the thin client then recognizes and sets the appropriate screen resolution, and the thin client is good to go.

What is normal sound monitors must be separated to deploy a new image?

Thanks for any idea or thougts.

From the point of view HPDM, disconnect monitor is not required when you deploy the image. Personal thought is that there is a compatibility problem between the display driver, graphics card and the system. Installing Windows intend to write a default registry value based on connected monitor (maybe display settings), for some reason, he was stuck. I'm not the driver or the operating system that you are an expert, I would say that you submit a ticket to HP for additional troubleshooting.

IMO there is no reason to re-create the recovery partition, if you have a recovery media. Just install ThinkVantage System Update and let him find relevant T400 drivers and utilities. You will probably want to install all the drivers, then decide individual utilities.

  • Turning the monitor off

    Hello

I use Lenovo U400 and I wonder if it is possible to turn off the monitor, only,

    Thank you.

    Hi CalciumKid,

Lenovo U400 is not a hotkey to turn off the LCD, but as an alternative:

If you are running Windows 7, press the F10 key and choose projector only. This will turn off the internal LCD monitor and switch to an external monitor (if you have not, it will simply turn the monitor off). To switch back, simply press the Enter key.

If you are under Windows 8, press the F10 key and choose the second screen only. To switch back, simply press the Enter key.

    I hope this helps.

I received a message 'Unexpected error' on my last post, so I'll try again.

My computer has been infected by malware, and I rebuilt. When I tried to install my favorite since the original CD, game he stopped making progress 29% complete, when copying objects. ???. After a delay, he reported that he could not read the disc and suggested that I make sure that there is sufficient space (34 GB free) and make sure that it was not something else trying to read the file (the facility was the only program that I ran). It offers three choices: quit, retry, ignore.

'Cancel' uninstalled what was already over and took back me to the configuration screen. 'Try Again' resulted the same message after another delay. 'Ignore' has completed installation, but the launch of the wouoldn can't program. A re - install after 'Ignore' appeared to run OK, but the program would not even start. An of-install, followed of a facility has resulted in the delayed 29% and the error again.

A different game installed fine between of-install and install it.  I think I have a problem with my CD. I don't want to have to buy another copy, but it's my favorite game. What can I do?

my computer hp laptop 2002 zd 8000 has a vertical white line from top to bottom, 1.25 impossible to remove, your suggestion would be useful.

    Hi, Nylachance,

Open the menu of the monitor by pressing the button on the console for the functions in the menu. This will be one of the buttons on the face of the screen. If you encounter problems, find the button press, consult the operating instructions of your particular model camera.

Scroll through the menu options with the '+' and '-' buttons on the screen until you find the option "Degauss".

Press the 'Enter' to the demagnetization of the screen. It aims to realign the magnetic field of the monitor, potentially solve your problem.

Go to your video card manufacturer's Web site and visit the "Support" page Your computer's documentation should include the manufacturer and model of your video card number. If you no longer have the manual for your computer, visit the manufacturer's website; There is a PDF version available in the Support"" section.

Click on the section "Downloads" of the support page and enter your specific video card model number to locate your required driver.

Download the driver and save it to your desktop.

Double-click the installation file to start the process. Follow the on-screen instructions to update your driver, who usually has to agree to a license agreement.

Restart your computer and your monitor.
