  • Another installer already running

    When I originally downloaded PS 13 elements and tried to run the installation program, it would always crash - saying me that another installer was already running.  I had to download the files manually.  Now the software attempts to apply an update to the version 13.1 and I'm having the same problem - the installer tells me that another installer is already running.

    I rebooted my machine (under Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 SP1) where another process was hanged in a previous software update, but it makes no difference.  Anyone got any suggestions?

  • Try to install the CS6, but when I click on install says install Adobe is already running.

    Hello

    I'm trying to install Adobe CS6 Master Collection, but when I click on install it says that Adobe installation is already running when in fact it is not.  I double checked my window to leave and my activity monitor that is not executed. What should I do?

    Here is a screenshot to show you the screen error message.Screen Shot 2012-06-21 at 2.02.43 PM.png

    I'm not really an expert Mac, we might need some experts Mac to chime in here.

    It's probably a background process and not an application. If anything, I think that you will find in the activity monitor.

    If this does not help, you can also try the following:

    1. reboot and try to install again (you've probably done already)

    2. start in safe mode and then try to install.

  • Message already running Firefox isn't true after the new installation

    Updated Firefox, I moved by mistake my old profile to my office to save it in case something went wrong. When you try to put it back where I won, I forgot what file it came and went to where I thought he was coming and found that a new profile was. Error message indicates two browsers can not be opened at the same time. Cannot disable the FFX browser because it appears not as open. I have trashed all labled find Firefox using the apple and then tried to install a new copy uploaded. Always gets the same message that if the newly downloaded copy is already running.

    tried an another clean install. This time it worked fine

  • Missing profile - cannot create new one - uninstalled FF - revenue W8.1 said earlier - already running when you try to re - install FF - many reboots VIPRE IS

    original error was "already in the process of running FF" - not the view in the task manager - not could close - restarted several times - same results - uninstalled FF and tried the download & installation of new - same message "already running." W8.1 revenue by about 3 weeks (3 updates) - same result when installing FF = already "running." After the message "already running" is always the profile is missing or inaccessible.

    Do the same thing with TB BTW. Using the latest version of VIPRE internet security on automatic update. Nothing like on a W7 and XP machine on the same LAN. Is there a virus on corrupting FF? Scan VIPRE says nothing about the machine of 8.1...

    See:

    This is usually caused by a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.

    You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
    • Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
  • Installation of El Capitan problem: "an error occurred during the preparation of the installation. Try running the application again. »

    I've been a fight 2 days now trying to improve my iMac 21.5 2009 end of Mavericks in El Capitan, but as the installation is about to be launched I get this message "an error occurred during the preparation of the installation. Try running the application again".

    Here is a list of all the things I've tried:

    Running the application again;

    Move the installation to another folder application;

    Control date & time and it was already correct;

    Do the installation in safe mode;

    Installation of the upgrade of another user I created only for that purpose;

    The computer restarts and I tried install the upgrade several times;

    And, to be sure that the installation application was not corrupted I made a copy of it on an external HD and tried to install it on my 2011 MacBook Air and it worked (I didn't install because I have El Capitan installed on my MacBook).

    Well, I don't know what else can be done, and I'd rather not have to completely restore my iMac.

    Please try installing again after taking each of these steps you have already taken it.

    Step 1

    Reset the PRAM from your computer.

    Step 2

    If possible, set the clock system as indicated here. If you can only boot into recovery mode, see below.

    In the OS X Utilities screen, select get online help. Safari will launch. While in recovery, you will have no access to your bookmarks or history. Load this web page.

    Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select:

    date 0801000014

    Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

    Quit Safari. You go back to the OS X Utilities screen.

    Select

    Utilities ▹ Terminal

    in the menu bar. It will open a Terminal window. Paste in the window by pressing the command-V key combination.

    Wait for a new line ending with a dollar sign ($) below what you entered. If it does not appear, press return.

    Quit the Terminal to return to the main screen.

    Step 3

    If your model has replaceable memory by the user and you have upgraded modules of memory, reinstall the original memory and see if there is any improvement. Make sure not to touch the Gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Spare memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine. Do not install more memory to the maximum value specified, even if a seller of RAM, or someone else, said you that it will work.

    Step 4

    Back up the data at least two different storage devices, if you haven't done so already. A backup is not enough to be sure. Backups are possible with Time Machine or disk utility. Preferably both.

    Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all the data on the boot volume, if you be better be sure backups.

  • Always says that another installation is already in progress

    Hello

    I have a desktop computer with Windows 7 installed.  It seems to be hung on a facility that I can't finish.  This prevents me from doing other installs without going through a routine of Rube Goldberg.

    When I try to install a program, it stops and I get an error that says: "another installation is already in progress.  Complete it before you proceed with this installation. »

    If I go to the Windows Task Manager process.  There are always 2 copies of msiexec.exe running.  One has my username next to him.  The other has nothing beside him.  I can "Complete the process" on the version with my name next to him, but not others.

    Now, if I want to reach intall a program.  I close version of msiexec.exe with my username next to him.  Then I go into Services and disable Windows Installer.  Then I reboot.  Then I go into Services and back Windows Auto Installer.  Then I can install a program.  If I want to install another one, I have to go through the same routine of Rube Goldberg.

    Is it possible to get rid of this problem?

    Thank you

    James

    In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following key:

    Hi marvinsadovsky,

    ·        What is the exact error you get when you try to install QuickTime?

    ·        You are able to install any other application?

    You try to install QuickTime by starting the computer in a clean boot state, because some background programs may interfere with the installation process. To put the computer in a clean boot state, follow the link below.

  • Firefox is already running but is not responding. The old process of Firefox must be closed to open a new window.

    When I try to open Firefox, I get this message:
    "Firefox is already running but is not responding. The old process of Firefox must be closed to open a new window. »
    I then clicked close firefox, but the problem was solved not so I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but it's the same thing.
    At this point, I went to support Mozilla and tried the steps described in the article, "Firefox is already running but is not responsible for - How to fix error message", but the firefox.exe process was not in the processes tab in windows Task Manager. While he was in the Details tab, when I tried to put an end to the process, I received this message:

    "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied. "

    What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you.

    Usually when you stop and restart Windows, Firefox is not running and can be started normally.

    Firefox is set to start automatically with Windows? Microsoft has a utility to investigate what is set to happen at startup: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

    It is possible that something is triggering a process in your default browser and it is the hanging of Firefox. You can try to change your default browser to IE (IE can offer to do when you start) before the shutdown and restart Windows to see if it makes a difference.

    Empty the gray bar, box, box white, question mark?

    This irritating box was related to an add-on for AOL. In order to remove the extension of the problem, you will probably need to start Firefox in Safe Mode so that it does not work.

    You need to close Firefox anyway, you can, for example:

    • ALT + F4
    • Right click of its mosaic on the taskbar > close all windows
    • (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Task Manager

    To start Firefox in Safe Mode, hold down the SHIFT key while double-clicking the shortcut.

    A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Then you can go to the Add-ons page using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right, locate AOL.

    A little luck?

  • I can't follow the instructions because popup says Firefox already running; CLOSE button used to work, but does not work today.

    Sometimes when I open Firefox I get a box (must not have used the word POPUP - she distracted the search function)-in any case, a box saying Firefox is already running, and I click the button CLOSE FIREFOX and everything is fine but now CLOSE FIREFOX refuses to close firefox.

    You are able to start Firefox in Safe Mode or start the Profile Manager?

    (1) safe Mode

    It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    You can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox. (If you get directly in a new window, you must exit all Firefox Windows first).

    A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    It will start?

    (2) the Profile Manager

    This assumes that firefox.exe is not running.

    Start in Manager profiles using Start > Search box (or run):

    firefox.exe -P

    When you get the Profile Manager window, do not delete anything!

    No matter what time you want to switch profiles, you exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

    If you select your default profile and click Start, Firefox start?
