2. I noticed that the firmware recommended by symantec in the hardware compatibility list is not updated. Do you think that using the latest Firmware Dell could cause this problem?

    Hello:

    I have a Dell TL2000 tape drive and I would like to know what current firmware is available for my device.

    Here is what I am running.

    Currently installed firmware library C.00 / 3,20e

    Vendor ID IBM
    Product ID ULT3580-HH4
    Serial number 1068062128

  • I want to REMOVE pre-installed Dell program Sync Up.

    Hello

    I never used and do not always hear using the Sync software on my Dell laptop. I want to know if there is anyone with enough know-how to REMOVE it completely from my system. Key word: DELETE. I don't want it to exist on my computer at all. I want to REMOVE it. I don't want to turn it off I want to REMOVE it. If you can not tell me how to REMOVE it then don't post because you are not answering my question either. I have read and felt the frustration of many others trying to get this resolved and they only got shit 'answers' (they were not answers if they offer something that the user did not like to turn it off). If you are trying to suggest / tell me something that is not completely REMOVE the crapware from my system, I'll probably do panic.

    Thank you

    Gabe

    Hi Gabe,

    Please share the system model and the installed operating system. Assuming that you are running Windows 7, you can follow the below mentioned steps to remove it:

    • Click on Start -> Control Panel -> programs -> programs and features -> uninstall a program.
    • Select the application you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the application.

    If the step above does not work, you can install Revo Uninstaller Pro from the link http://www.revouninstaller.com/. Install it on your system, and use it to uninstall the app Sync Up. The operating instructions are shared under the section How To manuals and videos. This should completely remove it from the application of the system.

    Note: It is a third party application, Dell cannot support or sponsor this application.

    Answer please if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help you.

    Here are the General news for the recovery to factory settings:

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • How to install Dell OMSA on a free host VMware or VMware vSphere Hypervisor comments?
    We are virtualizing our 2012 R2 Windows Server and you have a Dell PowerEdge T310 server. We have installed vSphere hypervisor free version 5.5 on the physical server.
    Does anyone know how to install the Dell OMSA? I heard that it will not work if it is installed on the Windows Server R2 2012 host because of the virtualization layer.
    I read a few posts on how it's done, but I can't always get my head around it. I think I've also seen people install a VIB on the hypervisor vSphere itself?
    Can you please describe the General steps or point me in the right direction on how to run the OMSA? The Dell PowerEdge server has a RAID, and we must use OMSA to see a RAID controller unexpected sense errors if they are generated. We used to have a problem with consistency RAID and have had to start again before.
    He also seems to be an OMSA plugin for vCenter, but I don't think we can use vCenter because it's the free version of vSphere hypervisor.
    Hello
    There are a lot of articles and posts on how to install OMSA under VMware. If you encounter problems then please post an explanation of what you are having problems with. Here's a post I did on the subject. It has a link to a youtube video that includes step by step instructions:
    He also seems to be an OMSA plugin for vCenter, but I don't think we can use vCenter because it's the free version of vSphere hypervisor.
    Integration of OpenManage for VCenter requires always the OMSA agent must be installed on the hypervisor. Correct, it is not a free version of VCenter. No installation procedure who advises using VUM or VCenter should be ignored because you will not have access to these utilities.
  • Hard to install Dell 966 printer
    Glad to find this forum. Thank you for making this service.
    Question is unable to re - install the print on the original disc driver, or a more recent version of the internet.
    Do this has occurred trying to get the printer added to the local network without wire or Win7 Homegroup.
    Material:
    Dell Inspiron 570, X 64
    BIOS A05 20/12/2010
    Dell 966 printer
    Service tag
    Code Express
    Difficulties to get the printer to join the homegroup or wireless router.
    NET activity light in the router port the printer was plugged at never blinked in all circumstances.
    Over group residential facility to be used between this PC and a laptop Dell Inspiron of Win7 has resulted no no recognition to the laptop. A PC RESTORE was attempted, resulting an error report Win indicating no RESTORE points were created, to establish a point, click the System Protection "." Clicking on another error showing for a new attempt because of a (OX81000203) SYSTEM RESTORE ERROR as a result.   Downloaded a new reader printer Dell, trying to successfully execute this didn't happen. Tried to re - install the original driver that does not work. Then found two drivers were installed. Attempted to remove all traces of any driver. Not a great success. Downloaded an own application outside and correctly install the original driver drivers. It did not work because the application reports no current driver parts.
    I know that it is now necessary get a clean install of good conductor new or old. This is where I am stuck. I keep trying but asking for comments in the meantime.
    Thank you
    Jim
    Attempts to get information about the operating system resulted in the same error.
    Jim,
    You have the Linksys set to use these parameters to the recommended wireless router I use channel 11. I have a new SSID to connect easier.
    AVG is probably going to be a problem with the connection to the wireless printer. I have these instructions, Allowing Wireless Printer blocked by AVG Firewall 8.0 , but you can disable AVG or uninstall AVG to install the printer. Once the printer is installed and connected to your network, using the wireless adapter, you can then try AVG reactivation/installation and if the justifications for the printer do not work, then the problem is with AVG.
    The printer connects ONLY on 2.4 GHz because of the b/g adapter has the printer.
    Installation instructions have been listed in a previous post and should work. Your desktop on your network, would be attached to a cable ethernet to wireless router, allows you to print to the printer wirelessly with no cable attached to the wireless printer.
    Let me know to what extent this time you are and that you need help, just ask.
  • No connectivity after installing Dell 1702 Driver for Wireless Adapter - of the suggestions?
    Hello world
    I'm completely confused on this one and at my wit's end.
    I have an Inspiron laptop M5110 and some difficulties to stay connected to my internet so this morning I decided that I would try to update the drivers. I uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now it will not even TRY to connect at all. In the lower right corner, there is a red x on the wireless bars and says No connections are available. Previously, it would have a circle of rotation while trying to connect, but that is more than all. My Ethernet connection works fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled this driver (REALTEK) and his work with no problems. So to publish its specific wireless card...
    If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless card isn't even more appear. I tried to reset, deactivation, all I could think about. I tried several versions too many drivers, but nothing works.
    Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation next to the network controller in my device settings. My hardware for the adapter ID is PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_002B & SUBSYS_02051028
    I think the info above, I believe that the Atheros wireless card belongs.
    Have any suggestions at all as to how I can get this thing to even try to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water... ANY idea would be so appreciated. I can stick captures screen or something else, if you think it would help.
    Thank you all,
    Tim
    Timmy1028,
    Zone Alarm because of the systems do not connect. Not very good if you want to continue your connection is allowed, or if you have a product key, for your subscription, temporarily uninstall Zone Alarm.
    The Dell Wireless 1702 802.11b/g/n connects to 2'4 GHz ONLY.
    Places to look to see if your connection is activated
    Also try reading, How to repair a connection
    Go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, and then select your operating system. Under network, download and install the latest drivers.
    Try these tweaks...
    Start, Control Panel, Manager of devices. Click Network and then right click on your wireless network adapter, on the left, click on properties, power management. Uncheck the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    Click Advanced. Look and see if this adapter has Antenna Diversity. If the adapter Antenna Diversity, change from automatic to the auxiliary voltage (can you also tell me if there or that it has no Antenna Diversity for my notes.) Thank you)
    Go to the options power and changed the wireless adapter setting, adjustment of maximum power for maximum performance.
    I have a Dell AIO 946 printer I am trying to install on Windows 8.  The driver is on my hard drive.  I don't know how or if I can continue from there.
    Hi Patsy,
    Do you use the 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?
    You can follow the suggestions mentioned below and check.
    Method 1: double-click on the Setup file and install the drivers.
    During installation it will ask you to connect to the printer, and then connect the printer, follow the instructions on the screen.
    Method 2: if the above fails, install the drivers in compatibility mode. Currently Windows 8 pilots are not available for your model.
