Intel hd with nvidia optimus not detected by remote fx

I use windows server 2012, Datacenter Edition. I want to install Ubuntu as a virtual machine on that server with remote fx. I have installed remote fx, but it does not detect my GPU (intel HD and NVidia gt 630 m). When I freshly installed server 2012 both GPUS were detected by remote fx. But still, I was not able to remotely install adapter 3d fx to the virtual machine. Please help, I want to use Ubuntu, but the experience of the bone is very bad without gpu support. I need help setting up a gpu for Ubuntu as virtual machine on windows server 2012. My noteb0ok is asus k55vm-sx086d and my gpu drivers are up-to-date. I also installed all windows updates.

I tried to install the nvidia drivers, but the card was not recognized. Then I restarted the system and you press f2 and realized that it is not detected even here. What can be the problem?

Discrete means there is an nVidia chip in the system. UMA means it is Intel only.

NVidia chip is a purchase option in, usually on the high-end models. If this option is not selected for purchase, the default is video only Intel.

The list of the original at support.Dell.com Setup will tell you that you have. If there is a reference to the UMA, it is Intel-only. The configuration list will be an entry for the NVS3100m if it is present in the system (and without reference to the UMA).

Hey Milena123,

There are two ways that you can keep your computer up to date. One is that you can always check the HP Pavilion dv6-6b55ea Entertainment Notebook PC drivers , updates from HP available.

The second is to use the HP Support Assistant. I've included the document using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7, Windows Vista). If you open the HP Support Assistant and check the title of the interview, you will see an option to check the updates.

I hope this helps!

• T410 - nVIDIA Optimus GPU Rendering blocks - (NVS 3100 M) / Intel integrated

Hello

I have a T410 with nVIDIA Optimus graphics, which includes both the nVIDIA NVS 3100 M and Intel HD integrated graphics.

I have the following driver versions installed I got from here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-76280

nVIDIA NVS 3100 M: 8.17.12.5738

Here are some of my test cases:

IE9 64-bit mode to run without crashing and with active GPU rendering.

IE9 32-bit mode crashes with rendering GPU helped to open with any graphics card I said.

IE9 32-bit mode runs with software made fine.

Live Movie Maker crashes when opened with nVIDIA graphics card, but NOT with the Intel one.

According to the error log when applications crash, I know that it must be related to video drivers nVIDIA:

• Alienware 14 - integrated graphics not detected in BIOS

Recently my NVidia graphics card was not detected in the bios and in Device Manager, so I contacted Dell and they replaced my motherboard (NVidia is built into the motherboard). Now I can see my NVidia card in my system. But original window 8 still gives me blue screen error (ERROR FATALE VIDEO) and when the pc is restarted, NVidia has also disappeared. But I see once again when I shut down and turn on again. So, I use my own 8.1 window, and all is still ok, now with the exception of two errors.

First one, it of my intel graphics hd went and not detected in the BIOS. I don't want to run on NVidia card all the time.

Second, one is that I can not install my killer LAN driver for my LAN network. I can only install driver wifi.

Is it because of 8.1 window problem or hardware problem? I hope the technician Dell can help me. Thank you.

Now, I solved the problem. Thanks for your advice. Problem is that in windows 8, I can see the two crads graphics in Manager mode optimus devices or not. But in windows 8.1 I don't see them both when I'm in the mode optimus, only nvidai map is visible in Device Manager. But can see them both in mode no optimus. Hope that the answer will help others.

• Cannot get the resolution of 2560 x 1600 Dell U3011 connected to M4600 laptop with NVidia

My setup:- Dell U3011 30'' IPS monitor- Dell M4600 Laptop with NVidia Quadro 1000M - Simple E-Port replicator model PR03X- OS: Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.5.0-21, 64-bit (I know it is not supported officially, RHEL is, so I guess there should be a way of getting it work)- Drivers: NVidia proprietary drivers 304.48 (also tried with 304.60)- X.org version: 1.13

According to the specs the monitor should be capable of doing 2560x1600 through DVI-D or DisplayPort.

The problem is: I can't get it to work with DisplayPort even if directly plugged to the laptop. The Nvidia driver seem to detect DP properly, although it doesn't detect the monitor. It only detects the laptop LCD display. If I go to Nvidia Settings, there is no eternal monitor listed.

What I tried and what did not work:

• Turning off the optimus in the Bios
• connection of the monitor first, then reboot,
• start first then connect the monitor
• by pressing Fn + F8 several times
• go to Nvidia settings and press "Detect displays" - the monitor is off "sleep mode" for a certain time but past sleeping within a few seconds later, nvidia does not detect
• installation of different versions of nvidia drivers (the most recent, I tried was 304.60
• completely uninstall the Bumblebee (optimus is disabled in the bios though)
• using the open-source drivers again (they don't seem to not work at all, even for the computer screen)
• Delete entirely xorg.conf file

What works "partially":

• Connect the monitor using the VGA cable. So I'm able to get resolution of 2048 x 1240, but the picture quality is bad, it's blurred. Not a solution, really. In this context the NVidia driver detects the monitor as U3011 correctly.
• Connect the monitor using DVI - D (dual link) cable through the dock station. In this context the NVidia driver detects the monitor as U3011 correctly, TwinView works very well.
However, I get only 1600 x 1200 resolution as the highest option (not even the 1920 x 1200 which is supposed to work with DVI single-link).
May be that the docking station does not support DVI dual link?
The connector on the back of it is dual-link for sure, but perhaps there is no connection of double bond between the laptop and the dock?
Unfortunately, the laptop has a DVI - D, only HDMI, VGA and DP connector, so I can't try a direct connection.
Or maybe the driver is misdetecting dual-link as a single link connection, and in fact, it might be possible to force it to use the pixel dual-link clock?
What to try next? Please help, because so far my new U3011 is useless... :(

OK, so finally I thought, after reading a thread on some Dell 27 "monitor problems DisplayPort (really scary thread, shame on you, Dell).

The solution was to turn off the monitor, * unplug it from power * and leave it in that State for some time. Now, it works fine, if connected both via the docking station as well as directly. Also, there is no problem with going back to suspend / sleep.

• T450s with Nvidia - dockingstation

Hey there

As I need a portable high performance to play Simulator / P3D etc, I am interested in the t450s with a graphics Nvidia 940 M. My idea was initially to connect it to an external monitor through docking station. When I go through the official lenovo shop page, it is said that for this version of the t450s, there is no option for mooring.

So my questions:

1 is this laptop (with nvidia) dockable not at all?

2. can I directly connect the laptop to the external display to play games?

Thanks a lot for your help!

1 no, as there is no port docking on the bottom of the machine. You can use a USB 3.0 docking station, but it is only a stopgap and not suitable for playing games using an external monitor.
2. Yes, it is possible. You can use the Mini DisplayPort or VGA port.

However, I recommend to wait for the T460s.

@ViGiLaNt: the T450s comes with the NVIDIA GeForce 940 M card.

• 4380 all-in-one printer does not detect the print cartridge

My all-in-one printer (model 4380 vivera, bought in Switzerland) does not detect the print cartridges. I traded the color cartridge with that of another, older than I was and now everything is fine. I don't know when, this problem will arise again. The last time I was so frustrated that I bought another printer (HP 2050) which seems to work without problems. I have unplugged, replugged and clean the cartridges with filtered water. The problem may arise at any time. Help, please. Thank you.

I'm sorry you have a problem with your ink not detected.

The problem may be because the printer is of the Switzerland and the ink cartridges are NOT. The printer will only accept cartridges of the same region/country.

For example, if you are in the United States and buy a printer and the cartridges come from GERMANY, he cannot read. Will suit most, but some of the contacts are different causing not well read the cartridge from the printer.

• Windows 7 does not detect my external monitor. Why? How should I do?

Good, some basic information. The laptop at the origin of the problem is an HP laptop. In other circumstances, I wouldn't care on this issue. But the screens on both of my computers cell phones don't work (they are Sun and incredibly difficult to see, barely visible) and I use an external monitor so for use.

In other words, I used.

I have Windows 7 for one of my laptops, and it is already fully charged. But, I tried to connect my external monitor, it did not work. I tried to use the projection screen, pressing [FN + F4]and pressing on [FN +] other F keys, as well. Of course, I thought it was weird. So I looked for answers on the internet (on my other laptop), nothing works. Most only have problems with the monitor not working not properly; mine is not detected at all. I went to the display settings (have to squint shine with a light and bend my laptop screen in different directions), and it showed only 1 screen, the main screen. I tried to restart, stop, unplug the monitor and in him plugging back and turning the cable around. I know that the problem is not the cable, as I use it right now.

I also tried updating the drivers, but for one reason, the laptop now refuses to connect to the internet as well. So, now, I have a laptop completely useless with a black screen, and I can't put my files on it because of this black screen. Not that I'd be able to use it for something else, anyway.

Hello

You will need his username and password. Your guide will tell you the default values.

• Nvidia optimus T440p does not work on Windows 8.1

Hello

I recently bought my new laptop (Lenovo T440p) which comes with built-in OPTIMUS Intel coupled by GeForce GT 730 M 1 GB graphics card. I tried to play games; However for some reason any show of game options, that my Intel HD card is used as a default graphics card. This suggests that the OPTIMUS technology does not properly switch the graphics card. System running on windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. How to activate the switching Optimus?

THX

Majlou

Try the latest drivers available on the nvidia site. They work very well on T440s + gt730m and W8.1, so there should be no reason not to work on your t440p. For some reason, put the Lenovo system update does not detect them.

You can also check in the nvidia Control Panel, that optimus is not set to "only integrated graphics. They are 3 parameters, you can choose amongst (gpu integrated, discreet, auto).

It is also an option in the nvidia Control Panel to display an icon in the taskbar with the current gpu being used, could be useful. Do not remember exactly where the option is good.

• W520, Win 2008 R2 & issues with NVIDIA 2000 M and Optimus

I had this Setup program runs very well before, before my HARD drive crashed and I had to rebuild my images. But now I can't understand what I did and how I got it to work. I have two OS's installed on my laptop in a mode dual boot (Win7 & Win2k8 R2 SP1 SP1). I have the image of Win7 works great but Win2k8 R2 SP1 is sends adjustments.

When I have the BIOS set to use DISCRETE (aka: NVIDIA) I managed to install the driver of the Optimus the latest NVIDIA drivers & everything works fine.

However, when it is set to OPTIMUS or INTEGRATED, I can't display updated drivers. Driver Intel I am pulling on the Lenovo site it not install because it says that it is not supported in load on the operating system:

http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS014907

When I try to install NVIDIA drivers (when OPTIMUS is selected), it is said that he can that there is an Intel driver installed first.

I don't remember how I got to this last work time and I'd really like to avoid entering the BIOS, whenever I need to go to Win2k8 and affecting it DISCREET that I prefer to stay in mode OPTIMUS being that it's benefitial on the battery life.

Answering my own question...

When you have a BIOS OPTIMUS value (discrete / INTEGRATED), install the drivers for Windows 7 NVIDIA Optimus:

x 64- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014142

x 86- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS013693

It will install the Intel & NVidia drivers. After that you have, you can retrieve the latest video drivers from the NVIDIA site & install successfully (which includes the NVIDIA Control Panel application).

With the drivers installed, you will be able to set the BIOS for DISCRETE or INTEGRATED and it will find the correct driver at the start as he now installed.

• OptiPlex 390 DT, Palit NVidia Geforce 210 is not detected in the PCI slot (as shown in the BIOS)?

Hello gentlemen!

I would like to know why the graphics card is not detected in my PC.

The graphics card is 64-bit 1024Mo sDDR3

And the CPU has

Intel I3, 6 GB ram

-Installed the gpu

-Start windows built in graphics

-installation of the driver fails two albums and the latest drivers downloaded from Nvidia or Palit saying there are no devices detected installing

-checked the BIOS and I saw that pci slot where my g-card displayed an [empty]

-traveled around the bios by any disabling of options for my integrated in the card or anything... any

-checked around dell.com and saw that nvidia geforce 210 cards are compatible with my pc model exactly, even if this compatible graphics card has been a model of Evga, not a model from Palit.

-which is where I started scratching my head

Is there other details, that I need to provide?

I appreciate the help.

The 210 was a terrible GT card when it comes to compatibility. Brand can also make a difference. Given that the GT 210 is an old map of the series, I would say get a GT 610 rather like this one HERE and turning the GT 210. The EVGA TG 610 is also mentioned as being compatible with the Optiplex 390 DT. I assume that you bought a PCI Express X 16 video card and not a PCI card, correct?

• New HP Envy with NVIDIA GT730 / 2GB. PS don't detect GPU.

New HP envy with NVIDIA GT730 / 2GB. PSCC detects no GPU. NVIDIA is correctly configured and installed. Native Intel graphics card does not appear even more. NVIDIA is set for PS and Snort to use only the GT730. PS frequently display the error message program when trying to define the preferences-> Performance, but I can do browsing Preferences-> general-> performance, and after that, I can then go direct to Preferences-> Performance. NVIDIA driver is current. PS Shows Panel Performance "detected: graphics processor white >, and, of course, to use and advanced are greyed out.» I'm out of ideas.

I'm back to report the resolution, depicted by Adobe support. The question was user and admin rights file. The simple fix has been setting (Windows) PS to always run as an administrator user. He had no problem with the drivers, just PS being cannot write to files. The trick is in the debugging file. PS ran as administrator, everything was fine. There is probably a solution more appropriate involving find all files, it requires access to, but on a single-user computer, it worked.
