interface / not nice

I just got the new indesign and photoshop.

love Photoshop, but indesign feels ancient.

square boxes are annoying.

and text is still centered in the box.

so strange that they are two Adobe products,

and photoshop feels so much better.

and advanced. cleaner.

I've been on Quark before I went to indesign 11 years ago.

This will be like Quark.

thoughts?

Kal

Photoshop is the only Adobe application to receive the redesign of the interface so far. I assume that they intend to apply it to every sequence eventually.

    Recently, I installed a SONY XCD-SX910 in interface with Labview 8.2.  When you choose the driver, only the Legacy driver would work for the installation of Firewire (R) (or IEEE 1394).  After installing the driver, I have images of the inteface to MAX.  However, when you attempt to trace through the example of Snap 1394 legacy since the document installation IEEE 1394, I get the error "Interface not found".  I tried a few iterations to try to name the camera as "cam0' (the name given to the camera to the MAX) and" cam0: SONY XCD-SX910.  However, the error continues.

    What should I name my camera so he could find the interface?  Will there be another underlying problem that is not obvious?

    Control of IO is not something that will be filled when you use the Legacy 1394 driver. If you use IMAQdx as your driver, it will fill. Thus, when you use the Legacy 1394 driver, you have control of the chain on your façade. When you use control of the chain, you must set the name of the camera as "cam0" as you did before. As long as this corresponds to what is able & Automation Explorer, you should be good as long as MAX uses the same driver that you are trying to use.

    Yes, 64-bit. I downloaded the correct drivers

    Right - we have established that.  What I asked (or thought I asked, sorry for any confusion) was the seocond time:

    Is the error you receive [interface: not connected, option: unknown] from a native Windows application, you are running OR the scanner utility Epson or som another application?

    I ask because it is important to know which application is gving you the error because those who are integrated into the code, usually.  The errors mean more if you know the name of the application giving error while looking for the error itself.  Epson has what he calls, "Epson Stylus NX300 and NX305 EPSON Scan Utility" and I was trying to establish whether it is what you use when you try to scan and so what gives you the error [interface: not connected, option: unknown] you have found?

    For example, a google search for:

    Give some success (including this conversation.)  You may need to contact Epson directly support to help with it.

  • Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service, Virtual Disk Manager Interface not registered

    I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on this laptop as a new installation about six months ago.  Since then, I don't think I ever ran diskmgmt.  Today, I joined a new external hard drive usb, it reported the drivers installed fine, but then the installation bombed at the beginning.  I went to verity, what had happened and has run diskmgmt.msc (as an administrator), but she came back with the message "Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service" and also a small OK msgbox appeared with the title "Virtual Disk Manager" and the "Interface not registered" message

    I disconnected the USB hard drive and tried again diskmgmt, but no change.

    I restarted in safe mode, tried diskmgmt, but no change.

    I ran sfc/scannow, but it has reported that it found no errors.

    I checked that the virtual disk service has been configured as a textbook in services.msc, and event viewer showed that when I ran diskmgmt he started VDS and then stopped VDS.

    I tried again, but still not like before.

    Is there some dll I can't regsrv32?

  • MAX does not display the option "features an Interfaces"-not able to configure any device

    Hi all

    I am facing a weird problem. I have LV2009 SP1, MAX 4.6 and DAQ 8.9.5 installed in my PC. Note here that LV2009 SP1 is accompanied by DAQ 4.6.2 9.0 & MAX. But for a project to support that I installed DAQ 8.9.5 & 4.6.0.Now MAX MAX displays only the 'Software' and the 'IVI Drivers"under my system and also lists the"Remote System". But there is no list of the devices and Interfaces. What could be the problem? When I upgraded to the DAQ 9.0, MAX was perfect. But I can't use it for my project because the DAQ 9.0 architecture is very different from older versions (one is that it requires a manual uninstall of the old versions of data acquisition before installing important DAQ 9.0). That being said it's that DAQ 8.9.5 cannot be used with LV2009 SP1? Should I install a patch for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Interface not to ping

    Hello community,

    I have a problem that I just don't understand - although I do not know there is a simple explanation.

    R3 can not ping itself on 172.28.38.11/16 and I do not understand why. I appreciate R2 has of an interface on Eth 1/2 with ip address 172.28.38.1/24, but its on a separate router and a different mask.

    Can someone please explain what I'm missing here.

    Please see newspapers

    See you soon

    I did lab for you and came up with the same result.

    R1 cannot ping interface connected locally because of the longest matching rule:

    R1(config-Router) sh ip #do road

    Code: C - connected, S - static, mobile R - RIP, M-, B - BGP

    D - EIGRP, OSPF, IA - external EIGRP, O - EX - OSPF inter zone

    N1 - type external OSPF NSSA 1, N2 - type external OSPF NSSA 2

    E1 - OSPF external type 1, E2 - external OSPF of type 2

    i - IS - Su - summary IS, L1 - IS - IS level 1, L2 - IS level - 2

    -IS inter area, * - candidate failure, U - static route by user

    o - ODR, P - periodic downloaded route static

    Gateway of last resort is not set

    172.13.0.0/24 is divided into subnets, subnets 1

    C 172.13.0.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1

    10.0.0.0/8 is variably divided into subnets, 3 subnets, 2 masks

    10.12.0.0/24 [110/30] by 172.13.0.3, 01:42:38, FastEthernet0/1

    C 10.12.0.0/16 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0

    10.23.0.0/24 [110/20] by 172.13.0.3, 01:42:48, FastEthernet0/1

    R1(config-Router) #do ping 10.12.0.1

    Type to abort escape sequence.

    Send 5, echoes ICMP 100 bytes to 10.12.0.1, wait time is 2 seconds:

    .....

    Success rate is 0% (0/5)

    Italic is the locally 10.12.0.0/16 subnet with R1 to 10.12.0.1/16. R2 has 10.12.0.2/24. When you ping 10.12.0.1, the router examines the routing table and the view that 10.12.0.0/24 is the most specific match and tries to send it to R2 Fa0/1.

    In addition, you use OSPF, masks of the neighbor must match. You will notice that the interface you are trying to ping is an adjacency with the neighbor on the other side. Thus, the route that must be connected is in fact being learned a different interface because of the mask do not match and no contiguity on this interface.

    On the R1 debug ip packet:

    * Mar 1 02:53:33.951: IP: tableid = 0, s = 172.13.0.1 (FastEthernet0/0), d = 10.12.0.1 (FastEthernet0/1), routed via RIB

    * Mar 1 02:53:33.951: IP: s = 172.13.0.1 (FastEthernet0/0), d = 10.12.0.1 (FastEthernet0/1), g = 172.13.0.3, len 100, forward

    * 02:53:33.955 Mar 1: type ICMP = 8, code = 0

    I have attached my topology for you to see. Here's my adjacencies:

    R1:

    Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Interface address

    172.13.0.3 1 FULL/DR 00:00:34 172.13.0.3 FastEthernet0/1

    R2:

    Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Interface address

    172.13.0.3 1 FULL/DR 00:00:32 10.23.0.3 FastEthernet0/1

    R3:

    Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Interface address

    10.23.0.2 1 FULL/BDR 10.23.0.2 FastEthernet0/1 00:00:33

    172.13.0.1 1 FULL/BDR 172.13.0.1 FastEthernet0/0 00:00:39

    So what I did was to create a static route for 10.12.0.1/32 pointing to fa0/1 (172.13.0.1) in R3. Then I created a static route on R2 to R3 10.12.0.1/32. I could do a ping at this time:

    R2 #trace 10.12.0.1

    Type to abort escape sequence.

    The route to 10.12.0.1

    1 10.23.0.3 48 ms 36 ms 24 ms

    2 172.13.0.1 84 MS * 52 msec

    R2 #.

    Before doing so, I couldn't do a ping of R2 at 10.12.0.1/32. The reason was once he hit R3, R3 was a road for 10.12.0.0/24 of R2 and referred it back to R2, creating a loop.

    Now I can ping R1, but why? R1 sends still to R3 but R3 says now R1 to get back to itself on 172.13.0.1:

    R1 #ping 10.12.0.1 rep 2

    Type to abort escape sequence.

    Send 2, echoes ICMP 100 bytes to 10.12.0.1, wait time is 2 seconds:

    !!

    Success rate is 100 per cent (2/2), round-trip min/avg/max = 28/48/68 ms

    R1 #.

    R3 #.

    * 03:08:14.523 Mar 1: ICMP: redirect sent to 172.13.0.1 for 10.12.0.1 dest, use gw 172.13.0.1

    R3 #.

    So, it is definitely the longest matching rule. You can try this to fix yours although I certainly wouldn't do it in production because their no reason really. Put a static route on the host that would be your next hop for the longest subnet (whatever the host is called f0/1). You can put a static on this host for 172.28.38.1/32 pointing to his next jump back to this router. Once you do this, R3 will send a package and it will get returned with a response. It is only a thing of laboratory

    John

  • interface not implemented

    I am really fedUp with code that promise to implement an interface

    but in fact is not, and yet always compiles!

    in the following code:

    ArrayList < String > words =...

    words.replaceAll (String::toUpperCase);

    Why line 2 compile sucssfuly?

    ArrayList.replaceAll takes a < E > UnaryOperator

    UnaryOperator < T > {}

    T apply (T, t);

    }

    While String.toUpperCase () implements the UnaryOperator < E > interface, String.toUpperCase () takes no arguments

    ==================================================================================

    in the following code from Oracle tutorials collections: aggregation operations:

    // a class to store total value and values count to get the average
    class Averager implements IntConsumer {
        int total = 0;
        int count = 0;

        public double average() {
            if(count > 0) return (double)total/count; else return 0;
        }

        public void accept(int newVal) {
            total += newVal;
            count++;
        }

        public void compine(Averager other) {
            total += other.total;
            count += other.count;
        }
    }

    // Code in the main class
    ArrayList<Integer> allVals = new ArrayList<Integer>();
    allVals.addAll(Arrays.asList(2, 3, 5, 7, 1, 89, 4, 5));

    Averager averageCollect =
        allVals.stream()
                 .collect(Averager::new, Averager::accept, Averager::compine);
    System.out.println(averageCollect.average());

    Why the code at line 25 compile sucssfuly?

    Averager.Accept and Averager.compine does not implement BiConsumer < T, U > Interface

    Interface BiConsumer < T, U > {}

    void accept (T, t, U u);

    }

    They both take a single argument?

    OK, let's look at in detail in the example

    List words = ... ;
    words.replaceAll(String::toUpperCase);

    As you noted, the replaceAll parameter is UnaryOperator, and String::toUpperCase does not implement this interface. So, how does this work?

    First, observe that String::toUpperCase is a reference of toUpperCase() method, which is an instance of string method. You can rewrite the reference method as follows, without changing the meaning:

    words.replaceAll((String s) -> s.toUpperCase());

    I stated the lambda parameter type just to make it clear that it's a chain, but it could just as easily be written as: s-> s.toUpperCase ().

    Observe that this lambda expression takes one parameter, a string, and returns a value, a string.

    Now let's look at List.replaceAll (). It take a UnaryOperatorparameter. It is an instance method, and the variable E is the type of the list parameter. Words being list, then words.replaceAll () will have a UnaryOperator as its parameter.

    Now let's look at UnaryOperator. This must be a functional interface, since we provide a lambda here. However, UnaryOperator himself is not all abstract methods. He inherited his unique abstract of its superinterface function method. If we look at thefunction, it has a single abstract method

    R apply(T t)

    which means that it takes a parameter of type T and returns a value of type R. Foregoing, we know we need a UnaryOperator, which extends thefunction, and the types of the abstract method will be

    String apply(String t)

    It is a method that takes a parameter, a string, and returns a value, a string. But look! That's exactly what the lambda expression

    (String s) -> s.toUpperCase()

    designated operational entities and the lambda expression is equivalent to

    String::toUpperCase

    It is so true that the String::toUpperCase, as a method, declare that it implements UnaryOperator. But we must look at the "forms" of the methods. String::toUpperCase is a reference to a method that takes a string is a parameter and returns a string. And UnaryOperator has one abstract method that takes a string as a parameter and returns a string. That's why String::toUpperCase works in a context where a UnaryOperator is necessary.

    A wrinkle here is that the toUpperCase() method is an instance method. It seems that it takes no arguments. However, as an instance method, it must be called on an object, the "receiver". The receiver is as a first argument implicit in a method; It's just that from a syntactic point of view, it occurs in a different place. Take the example of Averager:

    class Averager {
        void accept(Integer newVal) { ... }
        void combine(Averager other) { ... }
    }

    (I've changed around int to take into account the autoboxing).

    Here, accept() and combine() are instance methods, so they must be called on an instance of Averager. Which is like an additional implicit for each argument. Thus, accept() takes two arguments: an Averager and an integer and returns no value (empty). For example, Averager.accept () corresponds to BiConsumer, since his abstract method is accepted (Averager t, all over u).

    (Note that it is completely irrelevant that Averager.accept has the same method name as BiConsumer.accept).

    In addition, combine() takes two arguments, an Averager (receiver) and an another Averager (the parameter as 'other'). Similarly, combine() corresponds to BiConsumer.

  • deploy from model with the custom form does not not - NIC becomes disconnected

    [We're using vcenter 5.1 update 2]

    I have created a new model for 2012 Server R2 and I created a specification tailored to go with it. I went to test the deployment of the other day and it seemed that the personalised has not quite finished. He had put the local administrator password and baptized, but he does not join the domain. I finally understood that after the deployment, the NETWORK adapter is not connected despite having me 'connect to light' checked in the model. We are using the VMXNET 3 card.

    I've been messing around with the template for the past 2 days and I am stuck as to why it does not work. I tried the following...

    -checked the windows firewall is disabled (3 options) (Re: ESXi 5 VM / Server 2008 R2 loses the network connection after reboot)

    -removed NIC; cleaned up the registry to the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\; restarted; readded NIC (it was to eliminate any ghost NICs) (http://vnetwise.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/vmware-template-deploymentspart-1-trying-to-modify/)

    -Remove vmware tools and reinstall. (http://vnetwise.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/vmware-template-deploymentspart-1-trying-to-modify/)

    -card network in the operating system, unchecked "allow the computer to turn off to save energy" (Re: ESXi 5 VM / Server 2008 R2 loses the network connection after reboot)

    -checked that my new 2012R2 model uses the same host cluster and storage as my 2012 model that works. Also on the same port group distributed. (Essentially, all parameters of vcenter are identical between the two models)

    -also tried disabling the NETWORK card in the model (Windows Server 2012 comments customization)

    I have re-deployed the same server about 10 times and each time after deployment, you can see restart and try starting the customization but it crashes. If I manually turn the NIC on it is completed successfully. The problem is that I don't want to have to do that each time I deploy a server. Why is it disable the NIC and unchecking my option to connect to turn on and how to fix this?

    Problem solved: you need to update the hardware VM version from 8 to 9 on the template (also be sure to check "running on check and put vmtools")

    When you create a new virtual machine from scratch in 5.1 U2, he apparently uses VM Hardware version 8 instead of the latest v9. Once I upgraded it, made sure to check the box to have check and tools upgrade vm market, deploying with customization works and the NETWORK adapter is enabled when lit!

  • Bill Interface - not eligible

    Hello world

    I hope that someone would want to help me on this issue.

    I have 2 internal orders that ended in OM I checked line items, showing all as closed etc. However when you go on the side of the AR and run the Auto Bill, I can't find the invoice for these 2 orders.

    I checked the workflow and I found under "Bill Interface - Line" and "'invoice Interface ' column of activity there is an indicator 'inadmissible' on the result of the activity column."

    I did a little research and found an article showing what normally occurs if the attributes of the item meets the criteria below.

    1 item billable attribute has been defined or not

    2 item Enabled billing attribute has the value no.

    3 point inactive

    I checked the master points and none of them are true for the elements used in the order. And I don't know where to go from here.

    Appreciate any input on this.

    Thanks in advance

    Internal controls will not charge not - it's just a feature of the type of the order.
