Interlacing Mercury Playback GPU acceleration of the reduction H.264 encoding problem

I just managed to get my MSI GT780 running NVidia GTX 560 M video card has opted to use the GPU playback in first CS5.5.

It is, when I visited full HD 1080 25 p AVCHD video, it playsback interlaced with lines on the screen still the images are progressive.

Ideas and help please?

After selecting H.264 Blu - Ray, at the bottom, click on the audio tab.  Change of PCM to Dolby Digital.  Then click on the tab Multiplex, then TS.  It'll it make one single output file.

Honestly, I don't know why it would not mux the video and audio when you use PCM, but I wish it did.  You can use other software for multiplex files into a single file, but it's nice to have everything done at once.

After that, I have to disable "GPU Performance" while working, or I get the following error and the screen becomes white: 'Illustrator has detected an error with your material or graphics processing software and switched mode overview of the CPU for this session. Click on more information to resolve the error. »

The only time where I do not see the error is if I create a new file. In other words, it crashes when I open an existing file. I gand around this by HAVE to quit smoking, reopening the program before turning off 'GPU Performance' before opening any files. Then it works fine, but of course, not with the GPU acceleration.

It seems that the accident hit something that made the current files incompatible with the performance of the GPU.

I trashed the prefs and reinstalled the program. Which made no difference.

  • First 14 elements freezes with GPU compatible on Windows 10 H.264 encoding

    Hello

My computer crashes after a few minutes, when I start encoding video h.264 in HD (1080 p) resolution with activated GPU acceleration. I use Windows 10 and the video was recorded with 1080 p. When I export with a different resolution or disable GPU acceleration, it works without any problem. I use the latest Intel driver and there is no additional video card in the system.

If anyone of you have experienced the same?

I have CS6 installed longer, so I don't remember the exact tree that he uses.  There are 2 text files, that you need to remove.  We're in the Premiere Pro installation directory, and the other is in the Adobe Media Encoder, a.  You locate the file called opencl_supported.txt.  You can find this file in the installation directories.  Delete both.  PR of restart and you should be able to choose OpenCL as the hardware renderer.

  • When the latest EVGA video card will be approved for Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration?

I built my system of video editing, Windows 7 Ultimate, EVGA GeForce GTX 570 graphics card and motherboard ASUS Rampage III Extreme i7 920 Mhz, 24 GB of RAM. I decided to update my video card for EVGA 660Ti with many more CUDA processors and 3 GB of memory, but when I made the video I got this message "the project last used with Mercury Playback Engine acceleration GPU, which is not available on this system." Software playback engine Mercury only will be used. "and it seemed that the rendering is slower. Even if the newer video cards EVGA have more memory and processor and power more CUDA cores and best score on Intex experience Windows, Adobe does not approve them and say that they use the GPU Merecury Playback Engine acceleration. Why? Quadro cards are much more expensive have less memory, less CUDA cores but are rated higher by Adobe for creating and rendering, why is - this? What gives? Why EVGA which seem more powerful and cheaper cards rated lower than cards Quadro? This will never change?

These cards just have not been tested yet, is all.  But if you go in the program of the PP folder and just delete the cuda_supported_cards.txt file, you should be good.

    Hello ThomasL.

Have you ever had fast activation opened upward, as on the first round?  Or did she simply never worked at all?  If not try the following:

Press Start-> type regedit in the start search, and then press ENTER.  Raise when you are prompted.
    Make your way to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\CLASS\ {4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Search what upperfilters listed under it and check its value if its 0 change to PartMgr and click OK on.

If it worked, you should get the prompt to activate the next time you run FSX.

I tried the GPU acceleration in the past, but it has not been activated for my Radeon HD 6950. Ironically, today, I found it was and he lit. • Lighroom 6.1 develop vs vs library export colors change with the GPU acceleration

Having managed to obtain the execution of acceleration GPU (with AMD Radeon 6800 on Windows 7) subsequently, I make a radical change in color between the library and develop modules.  The develop module shows a really cool picture.  This can be 'activated' on and outside by disabling GPU acceleration.  The library files and anyexported show a warmer image in comparison.

How can I fix it?  Anyone has any ideas - I had to disable the GPU at the moment... again...

Library and develop are color management and use the profile.  But they use it in different ways with different code (for example develop uses the GPU is not the case of library), so incompatibilities in the risk profile of stumbling one but not the other.

  • Repost: Premiere Pro crashes Mercury Playback Engine

I try this again once since the original message has been deleted somehow? No reviews. Nothing. Just disappeared. If I have offended anyone, please tell it before removing the messages. No, I am forced to retype everything for a reason that I didn't...

I received a response from John T Smith on that there is a problem on the GTX1080 mentioned before, but when I try to re - open the thread for the response that I get an error not allowed here in the forums... John T Smith delete the post? I have no idea.

    In short.

I recently updated my computer and now whenever I turn mercury Playback in first Pro CC2015.2 or AE makes the EMT-black screen and the program monitor freezes. When I try to play, the playhead moves but nothing else happens. When I try to close the program, it no longer responds and accidents.

If I fail Mercury Playback it works fine.

    My configuration:

    I7 CPU 6700

Pilot GTX1080 GPU (ASUS founders edition) 368.39 (new)

    32 gig ddr4 ram

Windows Pro 64 bit 10. No update is available.

    What I tried:

    • I have an Oculus connected to my GPU HDMI port. I tried to remove in case he is confusing the GPU. No change in the problem. I closed the Oculus apps and VR Steam apps to try to do that there is no conflict there.
    • I checked to see if there are new drivers GeForce experience and on the page Web of NVIDIA. No, I have the latest
    • Once again. Windows 10 is updated to the latest version (v1511, OS Build 10586.318)
    • I tried to uninstall applications. Do a restart. And then re-installed. No change.
    • I tried to disable the GPU acceleration in the project settings. Saved the project and then re-opened. No change.
    • I tried to manually download the GTX1080 driver and force a reinstall of the GPU. No change.

Regarding the John T Smiths email that I was not allowed to respond to the (yet again, I don't know if he was the one to delete the original message):

I tried to search around on the forums for GTX1080 issues (a good question because the card is very new on the market and teething problems are required to be met). The only one I found was something works does not correctly the r3d files. But I did not camera RED. My film is shot with GH4 (4K mp4) or GoPro 4 black when I don't use of resources created with first or AE or Flash or Photoshop. Also. That question does not seem be on mercury reading crashing the first so I don't think it's quite relevant.

Please do not delete this post too without telling me why. And I am grateful for all the tips and pointers for this issue.

apparently the reason why the original post disappeared because he was moved by a moderator (according to an MP, I had once I posted), although I do not know the issue is actually related material...

anyway. In the interest of not having two parallel threads. Let's move the discussion on the corrected forum:

  • On Premiere Pro 8.0 Mercury playback engine

I have the old version of first Pro CC works well on my PC W8 using my GTX680. I discovered that I had installed the new Premiere Pro (2014) on my PC. When I started it up there was a message about the GPU acceleration and found that the Mercury playback engine option is grayed out. I checked the text file and found my card which are listed there, and I don't know what to do.

Finally, I was able to update my NVIDIA driver and the GPU of Mercury Playback Engine acceleration has been enabled for my PP CC 2014.

  • Rendering time 12 times faster or slower depending on GPU accelerated effects?

    Hello world!

I use first Pro CC on a new powerful enough Windows system (a young i7 cpu, 64 GB of ram, double cards GTX 760) and just test its rendering performance.

I have a 20 minute video with 6-7 video effects applied (on its whole length), only for testing purposes. All these effects are GPU accelerated, chosen from the built-in PP. I also enabled the GPU acceleration for the EMT (Mercury playback engine) in the project settings and the render bar in the upper part of the chronology is completely yellow (not red), so that everything seems nice and good to go. I then export it and it's pretty fast, rendering time is about 12 times faster than when I export in Disabling the GPU acceleration in the project settings (by selecting the 'Software MPE' option only). So everything looks good so far.

Now, when I add to clip an single effect which is NOT a GPU accelerated (from built-in PP ones) I noticed that the bar made totally blushed and time of export (always with active MEPS GPU) is now the same as if I exported with the option "software MPE only! (approximately 12 times slower than before!).

Is this "normal" guys? or am I missing something here? I mean, one effect 'enough' to slow down the entire accelerated by GPU export process? (and essentially "cancellation" of all the benefits of GPU acceleration speed)?

If anyone can help? Thanks in advance!

I'd say it's normal.  Indeed, with the addition of this effect, I could even expect to take more than software mode without this effect, you add in the calculation process.

  • EVGA GTX 480 and Mercury playback engine

I think that my first Pro CS 5.5 supports the GTX 480, BUT the Mercury playback engine is only the software.  Any ideas on how to get hardware acceleration work?  If it is not supported by Adobe is there a Hack to replace the software only.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Make sure that you have the video card is entered correctly.  It should be GeForce GTX 480 is case-sensitive.

Also, try to put it on the first line of the file cuda_supported_cards.txt.

I assume that you are running Windows 7.  If you are, follow these steps:

    1. which Start in the lower left corner of Windows 7 icon.

    2. then click on all programs , and then click the Accessories folder.

    3. look in the Accessories folder for Notepad and RIGHT click on Notepad

4 the left, click on run as administrator

    5. When Notepad opens, click on file , then Open

    6. go to the folder Program Adobe Adobe first Pro CS5.5

    7. find the file: cuda_supported_cards.txt then click on it to select the file, then click Open

    9. you will see a list of maps, add your video card to the list like this GeForce GTX 480

    10. click on file , then click Save.  Then quit Notepad.

Now start first CS5.5 and you should be able to put it to GPU acceleration.

  • GTX 470 lack of GPU acceleration

Windows 7 64 - bit, 8 GB RAM, brand MSI GTX470, NOT games, use with Adobe CS5 applications. CS5 applications are updated to fixes loatest.

I read a few other posts, but I have a few questions:

    (1) if the hardware monitor supplied with my GTX 470 is correct, and for the effects rendered first and transcoding in again with SOUL, % GPU used is about 1%, which should?

    (2) that I posted a question on the NVIDIA forum about my inability to add first Pro CS5 and Encore CS5 to the list of applications to GPU acceleration using the NVIDIA Control Panel. The * CS4 applications are listed but the Control Panel does not add CS5. I uninstalled CS4 for a long time, until I added the GTX 470.

    (3) today when I tried to load a project Premeiere Pro, I get a message saying that the mercury GPU acceleration "is not available on this system' and 'software only' mode will be used. What has changed? A way to recover?

So basically, two sets of questions:

    (a) transcoding don't use GPU acceleration? Should not made in first Pro use it? What should I expect to NOT use the GPU acceleration, except video effects, which are quite clearly identified.

    (b) at - it something for CS5 or configuration GTX470 to enable GPU acceleration to use?

1 CUDA real effects or non-CUDA? On what CPU? A slow CPU will not benefit from a fast processor.

    2. it is a limitation of nVidia Driver and does not impact on CUDA support. He'll find Adobe first Pro.exe

    3. put updated to 5.03

    a. No, Yes, encoding and other instances where the hardware rendering is bypassed in favor of software rendering. Depends on the material and other circumstances.

    b. 5.03 enable automatically. Check your project settings.
