Internet connection lost when power is removed Probook s 4330

HP probook 4330 s

Windows 7 Ultimate + service pack 1 64-bit

Driver: Microsoft 3.0.0.41 RALINK driver (up to date when I do a search)

When I remove its internet external power is lost.  The wireless connection always seems to be in place, but there is no traffic.  I can't ping anything in this case.

The only way to get this up and running again is to

1. Insert the AC power

2. restart the service dhcp client (sometimes required to conduct more than once).  The service has not stopped, but for some reason, it becomes it running.

I also tried to disable the 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power ".  But that did not help.

Have spent a long period of problems, have almost tried everything and am at the point where I am considering the purchase of a new laptop computer.

Kind regards

Paul

Using HP Photosmart C6380 wireless connection to a Netgear WNDR3400v2 router.  When the printer is on, all devices of lose the internet connection, but can be crazy.  Network WPA2 authentication. the printer shows WPA authentication configuration page so maybe that's the problem.  How can I keep my internet access while the printer is connected to the network?

FRST, make sure that your router has the latest firmware.

Let's define an IP address static and exeternal DNS of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Internet connection lost of Airport Express

I have an Airport Extreme bought July 2013 connected to a modem cable my ISP, Cox. I use an iMac running El Capitan. An ethernet cable to connect the modem cable to the Airport Express Terminal. Lately I lost my internet connection. I have set using the diagnostics of the network in the preferences, network, which brings me to restart the cable modem. That works, but it can last all day, or just for a few hours, and then I lose the internet connection. I called Cox Tech support and the guy said that as long as my cable modem lights remained on the balance, then it must be a problem with Airport Extreme. It also suggests to connect the modem cable directly to the computer. I have already happened up to 14 hours at a time and have not lost the internet connection. This leads me to believe that the problem is with the Airport Extreme. I can do about it before buying another Airport Extreme? Thank you.

What is the brand and model of the modem provided by Cox Internet? Is this the same modem that you use when you first installed AirPort Extreme? ... and, if so, it has had problems before connecting or just started to happen as shown in your post.

  • Internet connection lost

All of a sudden I lost my internet connection to the access point and have been unable to rebuild.

I use a WRT300-N router connected to a cable modem and my main desktop computer.  On the wireless network access point is a WMP300N installed Win XP HP Office in my Entertainment Center.   This set up has worked well for a few years with only few intermittent problems.

The access point shows a strong signal of 270 Mbps or more, but the wireless connection on the desktop icon is showing "acquiring network address".  When I try to repair the connection Wireless using Windows, repair hangs indefinitely on the "acquisition of IP address.  Icon connection Wireless poster send but not receive data packets.  I think that the configuration is for an automatic IP address (from the DOS command ipconfig for function) and safety is PKP no WEP and that seems fine.

The HP is an older model without the WZN function to automatically configure the wireless connection.

I can't determine if the problem is with my network wireless LINKSYS or something in the computer with the establishment of a wireless internet connection.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • My internet connection stops when you transfer files over a certain size.

    Hello.
I have Windows 7 64 bit and a 30mbit cable DSL connection. I'm using an ethernet cable, no wifi.
When using a browser (any browser - IE, FF, Chrome) and download a file over a half a MB or so attached (to an e-mail or a publication from CMS like wordpress), or when more than one download of attachments to the same email, my internet connection goes down and won't come back until I restart Windows 7.
This problem is not known with other forms to download, such as passive background downloads (dropbox, torrent) or communication active high volume (such as hosting a local server for video games). Only with attachments.
I tried uninstalling all virus protection, delete the browser history, removing all the programs with the shell extension (I heard that shell extension can sometimes cause these issues) and many other solutions. This problem seems quite clearly with the operating system, as happens in all browsers.
This has become prohibitive for my work (I work from home) and I'm afraid to reinstall windows, as I update it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hours of research and many posts on of many messageboards geek (where many other people have the same problem) resulted in no fruit.
    Thank you.

Well, Ajay K, I have some good news to report with the information that will be helpful to others.

It turns out that the drivers for the Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet controller, when you use Windows 7, are unable to support the task of unloading. Therefore, the solution is to go to the Device Manager > network adapter > properties > advanced > task offload: value = off

I'm really happy to have solved this, so I can stop running in my roommate's Office to file upload. No idea why it's only with attachments, but there you have it. I read about a guy who concluded that going back to beta win 7 drivers for its network card has also worked, but I guess it's because the Beta drivers have probably not unload on them or something.

in any case, thanks for the quick response and I hope that others can avoid 3 months goose hunting on that I went.

  • I have an internet connection, but when I try to enable Thunderbird software appears on my desktop screen, but could not complete the connection process.

I have Thunderbird installed on my desktop and laptop. So far, it worked very well on both machines. Today, when I try to activate the Thunderbird, the software on my desktop and laptops come on the screen, like the "sign-in" box When I try to connect, however, the process hangs part way through and the circle around the rotation shows that the activity occurs. Finally Windows 7 on the laptop tells me that the program is not responding.

The same result occurs on two machines, the desktop and the laptop. I checked and I have an active internet connection on both machines.

    What should I do?

  • Internet connection lost because of the error of the Ethernet controller after installation of the OS

OK, I installed Windows XP3 Pro on Windows XP2 Pro on my computer of friends because of severe virus problems. However after installation, the controller Ethernet, video card, etc. also took out drivers. The computer manufacturer is no longer available, and some drives are available with these drivers. So is it possible to get the drivers on the system in order to restore the Internet connection? How can I determine what drivers to install?
