When I try to go on IE I get the error messages - Windows cant find '00' make sure that you type the name correctly and try again.  also get "could not load or run '00' specified in the registry. Delete it or make sure that the file exists.   Help!  don't know how to remove it.

Hi LZ_transam,

-Have you been able to launch Internet Explorer without any problem before?

-If Yes, remember you to make changes to your computer between synchronizations when things worked fine and now?

Method 1: Try the steps listed in the article below:

Internet Explorer does not start or stops responding

Method 2: If this does not help, check to see if the same problem persists in Mode safe mode with networking.

Networking Mode safe mode starts Windows in mode safe mode and includes the network drivers and services needed to access the Internet or other computers on your network.

See this link to start mode safe mode with networking:

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

  • Equium A100-147: Internet connection shuts down when idle

I had a problem with my computer since I bought it, that my Internet connection is cut on me, apparently after I let the computer idle for a short period of time.

Currently, with a direct cable connection, I can get the connection up and running again by disconnecting and then reconnecting the cable, but sometimes that doesn't work and I have to restart my internet box to raise the connection again.

When I use the wireless, the same thing is happening, although I always reload the internet zone to re-establish the connection. It seems to be a problem of time, but I can't work on how to solve this problem. Any suggestions?

    Hello

This sounds like a problem in the router settings (internet box)!
My router supports an option that seems very similar to you time-out problem!

If this option is enabled router disconnect after several minutes (this depends on the settings) if the internet connection is no longer necessary!

I think you should check the router options!

  • Computer slows way down after trying to open internet explorer, then will not be closed.

I look through the posts and have not found someone who had my same problem still. I hope someone can help me. A few weeks ago, I bought a new gateway laptop and it has Windows 7. It works great until a few days ago. Day before yesterday, I tried to open Internet Explorer 8 and I just got a white screen with the border of IE, but it did not open a page or anything like that. I opened the Task Manager and allows to close the IE. I had that happen in the past (in XP) when I tried to open internet until the computer is carried out all the stuff at the start of the loading. Thinking that was the problem, I tried to open IE again. This time I just got the little thing of circle of rotation for a few seconds, as he was trying to do something, but nothing happened. I then tried to restart the computer. He says "disconnect" for a few minutes, then "shutting down" for about half an hour until I finally pressed right on the power button to turn it off. I have it turned on and had the same problem again. I even tried to open another program (Word) to see if it would work. Finally opened, it was ridiculously slow. I checked the process and it is said there are CPU usage 0. However, he acts like something using all the memory. My next step was to remove the battery. I took it out for a few minutes, restarted in safe mode, and the computer works perfectly. I then restarted it regularly. It seemed to work fine. I opened Word again and she appeared right as usual. So then I tried to open internet. I had the same problem as before, and then the computer slowed to a crawl and would not shut down. Thinking maybe it was just IE, I rebooted in safe mode with network and my internet works perfectly. I downloaded Firefox (in safe mode), perhaps hoping it would work. But when I rebooted, I always had the same problem. Everything worked fine when I got it in safe mode, even on the internet. If someone has had this problem before, please help! I just bought the computer a few weeks ago and it's very frustrating.

    Hi tonirose19

    ·         As the problem does not occur in safe mode, try to start the computer to the boot in order to check if any third-party application is causing the problem. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Steps to perform the clean boot and check if you have the problem.

    i. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

III. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

IV. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

    v. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

    VI. click OK.

VII. When you are prompted, click restart.

VIII. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved check what third party causing the problem, referring to the link given below: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    i. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

III. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

IV. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

    ·         Even run an online scanner to check any malware or virus activity. Links below will help you launch the free scan on the computer.

  • Help: E INTERNET EXPLORING down

I have a Compaq Presario V2000, which was made in 2004 and there is never any problem with this laptop. Now all of a sudden when I connect to E Internet Explorer it gives me an error message that indicates that internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. The network is fine and all the other computers and portable home work properly. I did a diagnostic and it says could not connect using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP and it can be cause by a firewall setting. He also says check HTTP port (80) port (443) HTTPS and FTP port (21), "you may need to contact the manufacturer or your ISP (ISP).

What I thought I did that, but is not certain that it was correct. Also, I can't access my Norton AntiVirus from Symantec but another everthing works fine on my laptop.

In addition, I tried a system restore to an earlier date and it wouldn't let me do. Someone has any ideas whats going on or how it fine?

Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

I took a few suggestion and went to microsoft on another computer for their help and care. They had run me a cmd and the internet worked, but something was blocking it. Then they did some stuff in safe mode. Then the tech himself tapped into the computer and deleted and delete some things but also uninstalled Norton. Norton was not the problem but explain its good but slows down the laptop, taking up half the space of the computer. We installed the care program a microsoft that does everything, including defragmentation, antivirus, backup, and speeds up the computer. What ever viruses and programs that has blocked the internet have been cleared out, plus they got the laptop to work better than when it has been brought to 5 years and performance as the current models. OneCare is, in my opinion the best anti-virus I've had yet. A few Notes explained to me: One Care and McAfee are the best programs out and don't take up space on your computer but, One Care has a 90-day free trail. Two, if you have microsoft products on your computer/laptop microsoft offers free support to solve the problems and the computer, but the problem must be associate microsoft, then if not its hp/compaq or other microsoft programs they charge. Thanks for all the help, support and ideas that they helped. Thank you.

  • Fix, he says that addd-suite slowing down Internet Explorer,

The Add-ons that Fix - it was referring to came from Mac McAfee.  If I disable them will harm the security on my computer?

    Hello

    (1) what version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer?

As you talk about the Mac McAfee add-on on the computer that slows down the performance of your Internet Explorer, you can disable this add-on to solve this problem.

You can see this article which helps you to fix the problem.

  • Ad Hoc network. even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

I'm living in a college dorm and only have access to the internet via a hard line to my computer. So I wanted to give my other accessibility of consumer electronics set up an Ad-Hoc network and share the internet connection. When I originally set up the network it works fine, but after the devices go to sleep or I leave the room it stops working. I had problems to keep the internet connection to share continually, which I fixed it. I then had a DHCP problem with the hard line that has been resolved through troubleshooting function. Now, even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

Is there a way to create an Ad Hoc network that works similar to a wireless router, so when my computer is turned, it works automatically? If so, how can I make this happen without these problems?

    Hello

I suggest to activate temporarily the antivirus as well as windows firewall and check if it helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

You should be able to remove from Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

Or, you can open IE > view > toolbars > uncheck the toolbar you do not want to display.
