Internet via VPN
Hello
I have a server EZVPN configuration and it works well. Client can connect to the LAN on the EZVPN server side. I have not split tunneling so local LAN access to the customer is lost.
Currently, when the VPN client is connected, they are not able to get internet through their LAN or VPN. I would like it so they could get internet access (WAN) through the VPN tunnel. Is this possible?
Thank you
Hello
Yes, not really familiar with the router side of this. I think that its probably works not because of NAT rules or the router does not correctly forward traffic
Here are some links that I could find on the subject. I don't know if they are of any help

the client that is connected via VPN you are able to ping 4.2.2.2?
If Yes, if you issue a nslookup google.com is the resolved name?
If this isn't the case, then I think that the following command highlighted is the problem:

Hi, I use PIX501s with os6.3 (3). They are connected to the internet via ADSL (pppoe). Firewalls are deployed in the Center and network spoke in the Center which is a VPN 7140 router. There are among the sites of links from site to site VPN. There are all Windows domain controllers that need to replicate with the central domain controller in local LANs. It seems that all the rays can ping the host server and vica versa but replication and the remote desktop connection does not work. The access provider ADSL told us to use 1454bytes as MTU on the external interfaces. If I put all the MTU on the PIX and the Central 7140 to 1100 (which should be small enough for ADSL) it does not help. But if I set the MTU size on the central domain controller Windows Server (whith that must replicate all servers spoke and who must be reached via desktop remotely), everything works fine, but this is not a nice.
How can I know the PIX or the VPN router to connect the correct MTU settings for Windows servers? Or how can I adjust the MTU on the CISCO devices that work?
The configs are attached
What OS and what level of service pack is currently running on your domain controllers?
If it is win 2000 Service Pack 2 from this link:
http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;301337
indicates that the server will ignore requests to lower the mtu when the request comes from a server (or gateway) on the same subnet as the host windows. SP3 resolves this problem.
I'll do some more research on the Microsoft site and see what I come up with. It seems that your problem might be this or something similar. However, the dc hub seems to be controlling the mtu size, so even if a remote client establishes a replication, the hub dc want to use its mtu and not that of the client, which should be lower as the pix should see the negotiation of mss of tcp and lower according to the interface mtu.
I'll post what I find.

DMVPN and INTERNET VIA HUB RENTAL ISSUES
Hello everyone,
I really wish you can help me with the problem I have.
I explain. I test a double Hub - double DMVPN Layout for a client before we set it up in actual production.
The client has sites where routers are behind some ISP routers who do NAT.How things are configured:
-All rays traffic must go through the location of the hub if no local internet traffic on the rays.
-Hub 1 and 2 hub sends a default route to rays through EIGRP. But only Hub 1 is used.
-Hub 1 is the main router to DMVPN. In case of connection / hardware failure of the Internet Hub 2 become active for DMVPN and Internet.
-Hub 1 and 2 hub are both connected to an ISP and Internet gateway for rays.
-Hub 1 and 2 hub are configured with IOS Firewall.
-On the shelves I used VRF for separate DMVPN routning Global routning table so I could receive a default route of 1 Hub and Hub 2 to carry the traffic of rays to the Internet via the location of the hubWhat works:
-All rays can have access to the local network to the location of the hub.
-All the rays can do talk of talk
-Working for DMVPN failover
-Rais NOT behind the router NAT ISP (i.e. the public IP address) directly related to their external interface can go Internet via hub location and all packages are inspected properly by the IOS and Nat firewall properly
What does not work:-Rays behind the NAT ISP router can not access Internet via Hub location. They can reach a local network to the location of the hub and talk of talks.
IOS Firewall Router hub shows packages from rays of theses (behind a NAT) with a source IP address that is the router og PSI of public IP address outside the interface. Not the private address LAN IP back spoke.
In addition, the packets are never natted. If I do some captge on an Internet Server, the private source IP is the IP LAN to the LAN behind the rays. This means that the hub, router nat never these packages. How to solve this problem?

Well I don't know that's why I need your help/advice :-)
I don't know that if I have to configure a VRF on the location of the hub gets also like things might mess upward.
The problem seems to be NAT - T the rays that are not behind a NAT, among which go over the Internet through a Hub and inspection of Cisco IOS and NAT are trying to find.
I tested today with the customer at the start them talking behind nat could ping different server on the Internet but not open an HTTP session. DNS was to find work. The IOS Firewall has been actually
inspection of packages with private real IP address. Then I thought it was a MTU issue, so I decided to do a ping on the Internet with the largest MTU size and suddenly the pings were no more.
I could see on the router Hub1 IOS Firewall was inspecting the public IP of the ISP NAT router again alongside with rays and not more than the actual IP address private. Really strange!

Hello
Just saw your message, I hope this isn't too late.
I don't know what your exact problem, but I think we can work through it to understand it.
One thing I noticed was that your NAT ACL is too general. You need to make it more
specific. In particular, you want to make sure that it does not match the coming of VPN traffic
in to / out of the router.
For example you should not really have one of these entries in your NAT translation table.
HUB1 #sh ip nat translations
Inside global internal local outside global local outdoor Pro
ICMP 80.10.10.2:1 80.10.10.2:1 100.10.10.2:1 100.10.10.2:1

Nat extended IP access list
deny ip any 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255 connect
allow an ip
deny ip any any newspaperIf you can use:
Nat extended IP access list
deny ip 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255 connect
IP 192.168.0.0 allow 0.0.255.255 everything
deny ip any any newspaperAlso, I would be very careful with the help of the "log" keyword in an ACL, NAT.
I saw problems.
What are the IOS versions do you use?
Try to make changes to the NAT so that you no longer see the entries of translation NAT
for packages of NAT - T (UDP 4500) in the table of translation NAT on the hub. It may be
This puts a flag on the package structure, that IOS Firewall and NAT is
pick up on and then do the wrong thing in this case.
If this does not work then let me know.
Maybe it's something for which you will need to open a TAC case so that we can
This debug directly on your installation.

Customer remote cannot access the server LAN via VPN
Hi friends,
I'm a new palyer in ASA.
My business is small. We need to the LAN via VPN remote client access server.
I have an ASA5510 with version 7.0. I have configured remote access VPN and it can establish the tunnel with success. But I can not access the server.
Client VPN is 5.0.07.0290 version. Encrypted packages have increased but the decrypted packet is 0 in the VPN client statistics, after I connected successfully.
Next to the ASA, I show crypto ipsec sa, just deciphering the packets increase.
Who can help me?

DirecTV DVR not seeing internet via router TC
I installed a modem Arris SB6183 on Comcast xfinity network. The modem is turned on and connected to the network, xfinity without problem. All my other devices connected to the TC and could see the internet without problem. (Though, as I write this I realize that they were all apple devices.) However my Directv DVR (HR44-500) did not see the internet via the wireless or ethernet cable. My TC is a 3 TB A1470. The installer has been in DHCP + NAT. I also tried to give Directv a (local) fixed IP which address found DVR, but still couldn't find the internet. When I plugged the DVR directly to the SB6183, without going through the TC, he saw the internet seems to indicate a problem of TC.
After a few days of futile efforts, I have reconnected the router xfinity and replace the TC in Bridge mode. Everything is working now and the DVR sees the internet, but I'm still pay Comcast 10 $par month to rent their modem.
Does anyone else have this problem?
You need to clarify a few things.
I would expect questions for Internet access to the DVR by the TC without doing manual port forwarding. The DVR itself must be connected to the internet as long as you have the correct values for IP etc. Although I suspect that ipv6 might complicate the situation.
If the DVR awaits UPNP router compatible... the TC is a failure. Apple is not compatible UPNP, adopting instead their own port open NAT - PMP protocol which is limited to most of the time the Apple products.
To get out, you need to return to the configuration without your xfinitiy router... and give us a stack of screenshot... To see the complete configuration of the RECORDER and the TC... screenshots are the best way to do it.
DNS, in particular, can be a problem... so make sure you use Google public DNS on the DVR and see if that helps.
Any other suggestions we really need to see all your settings...
Some screenshots of a working Mac or iPad would also show the configuration of a unit of work... rather than the DVR has failed.

Satellite C660D - error 651 attempts to connect to the internet via modem
Hello
I'm so stupid with this stuff so please make all responses for a 3 year old can understand.
The problem - since a few years, I used a desktop computer and connected to the internet via modem wide empty tape and USB connection. Last week bought a Satellite C660D installed Windows 7 os provided and tried to connect with my modem, but failed miserably.
I get the error message 651 but do not understand why.
I use wired ethernet (because my friend does on their laptop) and tried the cable on their system, and it worked very well, so I don't think it's that.If someone is kind enough to explain what I do, I'll be able to keep this computer connected to the internet with usb and connect the laptop with an ethernet at the same time, so I can read the instructions while I go or I'll have to print the instructions and disconnect the Office before retrying the laptop? Yes, I'm dumb and I'm not even blonde, lol
Thanks in advance for those who have the patience to try to help me.
Hello
Don t think that it s question computer laptop since many different users of the internet have reported the same error message with different but with pre-installed computers Win 7.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution for this
See this page:

Unable to get internet via Wi - Fi
I can't access the internet via my laptop. all other devices works fine (apple phone ipad tv etc.)
I can connect with a cable directly to the wifi router and everything works. What could be the problem.
Make sure that the wireless network adapter is correctly enabled. After that, check if your WIFI is detected by your laptop.
If so, enter the key and everything should be OK.
I don't know what model of laptop you have, but in the document of the user manuals, you can find info how you can enable/disable wireless network card.

The driver is asyncmac.sys = MS Access Remote network serial driver.I have:
-tried to uninstall the RAS asynchronous card, but no luck, didn't say it may be necessary to start
-modem uninstalled / reinstalled
-update of Windows XP through windows update
-update of the bios / modem / network drivers from ToshibaNo luck, the RAS asynchronous card error is still there.
Any suggestion?
Thank you
Alessio - ItalyI think that this problem is Windows XP and map Asynchronous RAS, not the modem.
The modem correctly composed the number, negotiates the user and the password, and then I get error 6 and 50.
On the internet I found this tip for uninstalling and reinstalling the RAS asynchronous card:
http://forums.practicallynetworked.com/showthread.php?t=6781
I followed the instructions and run RArepair.exe.
It uninstalls and reinstalls the map Asynchronous RAS, but RAS is still in error (the yellow field in the Device Manager). -

Tecra A8 - unable to connect to the Internet via a cable
Hello!
I can't connect my laptop to the Internet via cable. The laptop does not recognize when I put the cable. Recognize only the wireless connection.
Can someone tell me, what is the right software that I need to install in order to have cable internet?
Hello
Normally you n t need a software to connect to Internet or router. You should only check the TCP/IP settings. This means that if you have a router that supports DHCP default settings should be allowed, otherwise, you will need to set static IP addresses. It s based on your router configuration.
What OS do you have right now?
Is the OS installed Toshiba now or another OS?You can also try to update the network driver which can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.

Tactile Lenovo Y50-70

iPhone 5 c - iOS 9.2.1
iTunes - 12.3.2.35 / 64-bit
Cell carrier: Etisalat AF
Last year in Afghanistan, I have used my iPhone 5 c to attach my laptop to the internet simply by connecting via USB. It has always worked. Was very simple. When I returned to the States for R & R in November 2015, I've updated my iPhone and iTunes to the latest versions and upgrades Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
I am now back in Afghanistan and USB tethering no longer works. WiFi tethering works half the time. The other half of the time, when I try and connect to the network of the iPhone, it is said, you cannot connect to this network. When I can't connect to the phone, I disable the personal hotspot, WiFi and Bluetooth on the phone and then I turn it back on. I also turn off my WiFi adapter on my laptop and turn it back on. Which usually solves the problem and then I can connect via WiFi.
Do some research on the internet, I read that there was a file corrupted when the current generation of iTunes, but Apple had set and you just need to reinstall the current version, which I did. I have reinstalled iTunes by suggestions from different site. After reinstalling iTunes and restart, I can always have my phone to connect to internet via the USB cable.
I want to be able to connect my laptop to the internet using my phone via the USB cable. I want it all works just as it did previously. Connection via WiFi is a pain in the ass, because it does not work half the time and disconnects on a regular basis.
Please tell us what should I do to solve this problem.
Thank you.
OK, I finally understand how to solve this problem.
I was able to understand because of this post:
https://discussions.Apple.com/message/29267225#29267225
The problem is that Windows 10 was not install appropriate drivers for my iPhone.
You can see 2 places to see. We're in the control panel. After you plug in your iPhone, the iPhone will be displayed and highlighted as not having is not a compatible driver. The other place is in "Devices and printers", there you will see 3 apple devices: 1 Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, iPhone 2, and 3. Apple iPhone. All three appear when I plugged in my iPhone.
However, the problem was one that said iPhone really should have said "Apple Mobile Device Ethernet".
So, how to fix this?
Open devices and printers-> right click Iphone which should be under "Unscpecified"-> properties-> hardware-> Propterties tab-> change settings-> tab driver-> update driver-> Browse my computer for software Local-> Browse to the directory "C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support".
Make sure you have the files box to include under verified.
Who did. Windows successfully installed the necessary drivers. Now, I can easily connect to the internet via the USB cable again without any problems.

Unable to connect to the Internet via my iPad "Personal Hotspot"
Hello
I am connected to the internet via my Personal Hotspot iPad2 connection and my laptop... works very well, as you can see... BUT when I do a search on my cinema system Sony Home the wifi hotspot does not yet show upward!
How can I connect to my Personal Hotspot iPad2?
Thank you
Phill
Hi Phill,
A Hotspot is limited to a certain speed by the operators. Access point might not meet the requirements for streaming the video data on the Internet.
So, the Home Theater system cannot be connected to the Hotspot.
The Internet speed should be 2.5 Mbps for SD videos streaming and 10 Mbps for streaming HD videos.

Satellite Pro P100 - unable to connect to Internet via LAN
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100. Model no SPSA4A-005002
I used my recovery disc and erased from my computer, because of a virus and now I can't connect to internet via cable but my wireless internet works perfectly.
Its quite dead there is no lights on the back of the laptop where I plug in the cable.Hello
Your network card is properly recognized in Device Manager?
In your case, I would try to update the LAN driver. You can get the latest version here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversIn addition, you check the version of the BIOS. The most recent version must be installed and load default settings here.
In the worst case, it s only a hardware problem and must exchange the motherboard together :(
