Investigation of emergency BitLocker

Is there a way to have Bitlocker enabled on a PC, have the encrypted HD and configure Bitlocker to encrypt any device of storage connected to the computer but make an exception for a specific hardware category?

Scenario:

Doctors office has Bitlocker configured on the network on all PC - patients should be able to enter the office and connect their monitors to computers to download their readings without Bitloker encryption of the device. Is it possible to configure an exception for that? or y at - it another option?

Currently, we offer it in medical office staff turns off Bitlocker on the machines that they would like to connect the meter and put the machines in a container separated in ad to avoid the reactivation of Bitlocker through Group Policy.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • BitLocker, configure the module TPM after encryption.

    Hey,.

I encrypted my hard drives in my pc with BitLocker, but I have now ordered a TPM chip I have planed for use with BitLocker.

I think I know how to upgrade the system drive (c) to the specification of the TPM module, but I don't know how to upgrade other readers 'internal' encrypted to TPM.

    https://mrhorn.com/WP/posts/BitLocker-with-TPM-pin-USB-StartupKey/

On this site, I discovered how to change the secure TPM system drive.

It feels a little awkward and sad decipher and then re-encrypt with TPM to do together with the TPM module. (X takes hours to encrypt a disk of 1 TB)

This site I found later and I hope that it would work to "fix" the other internal drives to the TPM + Pin specifications without decryption...

    http://mikebeach.org/2011/12/08/how-to-enable-BitLocker-tpmpin-after-encrypting-hard-drive/

I thought that theses commands should work then

    manage-bde-protectors-add c: - TPMAndPIN

And when I put the (c :)) Windows Media Player to TPM + Pin + StartupKey, '123456789' represent the pin code.

    manage-bde -protectors -add C: -TPMandPINandStartupKey -tp 123456789 -tsk E:

manage-bde -protectors -add C: -RecoveryKey F:Thanks for reading, and i hope i will get a qualified answer in not to long time....Cheers!

  • BlackBerry 10 flipping between AT & T LTE and emergency mode

    Greetings,

I am the proud owner of a BlackBerry Z10. A few days to receive the phone, I noticed he was constantly about-face AT & T LTE and emergency mode. I couldn't make or receive calls and text messages I've sent have often received several times. Here are the steps I took to try to resolve the problem:
    1. went to the AT & T store and had a new SIM card installed
    2. a few days later, I went back because the problem persisted. They provided a replacement phone.
3 conducted a security wipe, part way through interrupts him and performed a clean installation of a PC using link BB.
    4. called supports AT & T, who proposed to replace it with yet another phone. However, it seemed useful as I bought the original phone in Pennsylvania and he traded the first time in Texas - I don't think they would have the same 'batch' phones in geographically disparate locations.

I'm running out of ideas on what else could be the cause and would appreciate any idea that the community here could provide!

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick response!  I had two supplementary questions:

    (1) shouldn't the phone try to "fall back" to base of 4 G or 3 G in areas without coverage instead of going into emergency mode?

Yes, it should. But, if there is at all no cover, then SOS would be the only mode that has left him. You can always try to restart to see if this it helps find the signal. I discovered recently on mine as if I intentionally left the network radio mobile (for testing purposes) for 24 hours, then it will not re - acquire a signal the correct carrier without a reboot. Should not be the case, but it may be that the operating system continues to evolve.

    tw1701 wrote:

    (2) signal problems you describe would be specific to the device?  I have a HTC inspired (try not to laugh) and a Samsung Galaxy Note II, which worked without problems in the same places.

    Everything is possible.

Whatever the root cause, if you got your Z10 of ATT and ATT is also your service provider, they are 100% responsible for all of your formal support. It is perhaps to dig deep, and even BlackBerry can information from you. But the only way to start any formal investigation process is by you contacting ATT to support formal and potential climbing up to BlackBerry.

    Good luck!

  • New location of SOS Emergency services IOS 10

so I have updated to iOS 10 on my IP6s and research in location services, there is a rocking new emergency' sos' that means emergency services can follow you?

Most of the phones allow you to disable the location services for 911 evolved so much, I am not sure that what the switch is for. All phones sold in the United States for the last decade (more or less) have been created so that if you call the number of the emergency services (911), dispatchers will be able to see where you are. This is why they can send the police, fire or ambulance to the correct location even if you don't know where you are.

Edit: It's the new SOS emergency on the Apple Watch:

On SOS on Apple Watch - Apple Support

  • Apple Watch, calling emergency since the update services

    Guys,

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, but since the upgrade to ios3 in my watch randomly called emergency services when I rode my bike with my jacket on.

Obviously gloves are putting pressure on the power and set up the menu, but then the watch button connect to emergency through any way wrist movements activating.  I had understand if it was my right wrist (wrist of accelerator which is constantly moving) but it's my left which is mostly static.  And it shouldn't be activate as clothing.

Anyone else having this problem, it's a huge problem, apple watches call emergency services at random.

    Thank you

I have not encountered this problem. You can change the path of emergency sos is started by going to the app shows general, emergency sos on your iPhone and turn off hold automatic appeal. You will need to then press and hold the button side, followed by a simple touch on sos emergency. It may be a solution working, or at least temporarily?

  • EMERGENCY - Thunderbird freezes, Can not see my mail

It's really an emergency situation because my company works on email. I downloaded a huge message (many photos) and now Thunderbird freezes when I try to do something. I can't even scroll through my mail, let alone read. I tried to uninstall Thunderbird and download and install the new version, but that makes no difference. I feel very desperate because customers expect a response.

    Therefore, a pop account?

    > huge message (many photos)
If it's a pop account, then that should be in your Inbox on your PC. If you can not click on the Inbox, Windows with THunderbird closed, you could move the mail\local folders Inbox file and rename it as reception-bad box

  • FileVault and Bitlocker, Windows 10, OSX10.11

I'm curious as to the viability of using FileVault on my OS X and Bitlocker partition on my bootcamp partition. I tried before with apparent success on Windows 8.1 and tried again today with Windows 10, using the EFI System.

First of all, I enabled FileVault before using 10 Windows in Bootcamp. Then once Windows 10 has been installed, I have enabled Bitlocker. Two boot partitions and to report being encrypted, but I've seen web old descriptions indicating that the MBR needs to be changed to make this installation work, or that Windows must be installed on the punched.

Here is the read disk structure (128 GB MacBook Air SSDS) diskutil. Any thoughts are appreciated.

    #: NAME SIZE TYPE IDENTIFIER

    0: GUID_partition_scheme * GB 121,3 disk0

    1: disk0s1 EFI EFI 209.7 MB

    2: Apple_CoreStorage Macintosh HD 88.3 GB disk0s2

    3: disk0s3 Apple_Boot Recovery 650.0 MB HD

    4: Microsoft database 31.8 GB disk0s4

    5: Windows Recovery 366,0 Mo disk0s5

MBR is valid on facilities that use the legacy BIOS Setup. What year/model is your Mac?

  • Why my 5s iphone has app "Investigation Xpress?" which cannot be deleted?

On 5.23.2016, I noticed my IPhone 5s have a suspicious application called icon "Investigation Xpress?" which cannot be deleted. I did research online and did not find anything about the app and I'm afraid that it's associated with spam. I intend to take it to Verizon/Apple to take a peek. Someone has the same problem? Thank you.

    So what does this application?

  • How to restore the bookmarks after an emergency backup who left only the bare remnants files of Mozilla?

Stats: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system. Currently using Firefox 22.0.

Details: Before that, I had an outdated version of Firefox are installed which I do not know which one it was. It may be 2-3 versions before version 22.0. I had a few hundred Favorites on Firefox when my computer became suddenly blue screen and I quickly restored it using emergency backup software that is built with the computer. It basically restored the computer while safeguarding * MOST * files from the previous installation.

Fast forward, I went to see if I could pick my favorites, but only left value files were in the APPDATA roaming and APPDATA local files. This is the profile folders, but there is virtually nothing in it that can be opened or used. As records skeletons without meat. There are thumbnails of Web sites previous that I visited on the last installation, and that has been about it.

I tried to see if I could copy the old empty profiles folder in an attempt to use the Profile Manager and paste it into the new installation of Firefox, but I couldn't open the Profile Manager.

I read the articles that have been recommended by the website so feel free to submit your questions and assistance. Anything help! I have re-learned a useful lesson, always save your bookmarks!

How can I return my favorites?

Oh not at all, it's my fault for not not being prepared. It's a good lesson to learn to always save files especially with huge storage of our days. Back in the old days, they would use the floppy drives that were considered the height of storage technology!

No, I have never had an account to sync with Firefox but will have to keep in mind for future cases of lost bookmarks. However, what was lost is found again! One way or another!

    Thanks for the suggestions!

  • 250 HP G4: HP 250 g4 Windows 7 Bitlocker

    Hello.

I have HP 250 g4 with TPM module and installed Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate.

I have updated the bios to version F. 21 and set options 'Device TPM' to 'Available' and "State TPM" to "enabled."

In Device Manager I see Security TPM v. 2.0.

When I try to use Bitlocker, I get message, TPM does not support the current version of WOOD and I need to contact the manufacturer of the BIOS update.

    How to fix?

Which option 'TPM State' in the BIOS do?

    Concerning

I solved this problem. System disk must be converted to MBR mode TPG. Windows 7 must be installed using the UEFI. You must install the Windows6 update. 1 KB2920188-v7 - x 64.  After Bitlocker with TPM2.0 works.
