iOS security

I always use iPad and iPhone to surf the Internet and banking payments. My iOS for the iPhone and iPad are updated. But I'm worried about hackers and thieves for my passwords in online payments, because I have not installed any internet security software. Apple says that all apple products are produced with built in antivirus. In addition, it is not possible to install internet security on iOS. What is your idea about this statement?

There is no known viruses that can affect an iPhone.

Similarly, there is no reported to who within hacking distance either an iPhone.

The design of the iOS that stop at the operational level. This same design is what prevents any form of Antivirus doing anything more scanning itself.   There is no access to an application in other parts of the system directly.

iOS is considered to be a fo more secure systems in the world.

I'd be more concerned with what I use for my sensitive operations such as database connections.

It is believed to do banking on a wifi network that control you.  That is to say at home or your office.

Another thing is open and would be an easy target for hackers to compromise your iPhone could ever be.

With the previous version of IOS, 9.3.4 I had an ongoing problem with my 'home' button does not.  I tried to clean the key, etc..  I've done all the fixes mentioned in the line.  Nothing has worked - I had to press the Home button for a few seconds for him to work.  I did the general > accessibility > AssistiveTouch fix - and that place a soft-Home-button on my home screen.  So it's been a temporary solution.

Then I installed iOS 9.3.5 as soon as it came out, and the problem disappeared.  The original ' Home' on the device button worked as good as when it was new. I interpreted this as meaning that the hotfix in 9.3.5 set some hole/leak memory existed in 9.3.4 that messed up my Home button.

Then, today-, he started the same problem.  No new apps installed.  Just same daily use.

I can't find anything about it online - anyone have a similar experience?

While the home button activate some software, it is a piece of hardware and a physical button. The button may fail, or works intermittently. If you continue to have problems with the home button, you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar in the Apple store nearest to reviewing. There is no security breach that would cause the Home button to stop working, and the fix for the flaw, Apple has released it patched.

  • Where is the support for IOS security vulnerability policy

I am considering an iPad 2 Air for myself.

I have many android (phones and tablets) devices that are vulnerable to the frame and the combination of Samsung or LG and carriers will not roll the provided Google of patches on their devices.  Not a single device of mine will be patched.  I will not stop to buy more devices stuck in that model of support for fix hardware manufacturer and the accepting carrier of patch.

This only leaves Google Nexus range of products and Apple's IOS devices for review as far as I know.  Apple products are a bit expensive for me, but I may have no choice.

I tried, but I couldn't find a documented statement of political support from Apple.  Yes, I know that they still support the iPhone 4S with IOS 9.1, but I want to see the current policy of public support.  Someone at - it links, I've yet to find?  How long is their guarantee to security patches?  I don't have the latest clever features, I want to known vulnerabilities and not-publicly-known patched.  Apple said the timeline for security patches?

    Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge Apple never gave a lifetime for devices or for them to receive iOS updates.

I can tell you that my iPad 2, which is a little more than 4 years, can be iOS9 and updates that come with it.

Beyond history, there is no guarantee for a period of support.

  • With IOS 9.3.5 security breach

In IOS 9.3.5, latest update IOS, security is supposed to be fixed. There's a loophole where you can ask siri "what time is?" from the lock screen. Siri will show you the clock, and you click on this. Once you have clicked which, just click on the '+' in the corner right, put in letters at random, click 'Cancel', then go to 'Stopwatch' then click on the home button, and you get to the home screen, even if you don't know the password.

I hope this bug can get fixed soon!

What numbers did you use to press home to the end? Here test the device unlocks only with a previously registered fingerprint? The intermediate steps to type randomly and selecting the stopwatch don't change, however, it is quite easy to use your normal finger for the home page press button at the end, even if you deliberately used an invalid to call Siri at the beginning.

  • Problem with GRE over IPsec with IOS Version 15.1 (2) T4

    Hello

We have several sites that use of GRE Tunnels with card crypto for encryption.  To upgrade to the latest version of a UC-520 (15.1 (2) T4 or any version of this train) I get the following error: -.

    SIN-UC520(config-if) #crypto map aberdeen

% NOTE: crypto card is configured on the tunnel interface.

Currently, only one card encryption GDOI is supported on the tunnel interface.

The original Tunnel config is below:-

    interface Tunnel0

    Description Tunnel to Aberdeen AC

    bandwidth of 512

    IP unnumbered Vlan1

    IP mtu 1420

    QoS before filing

    tunnel source a.b.c.d

    destination e.f.g.h tunnel

    Crypto map aberdeen

Decommissioning of the IOS version solves the problem.   What gives?  Have Cisco dropped support for this configuration?

I use this setup so I can choose exactly which traffic is encrypted (I do not encrypt voice for example).

    Thank you
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,.

It looks like from the 15.1 this configuration is no longer supported. Here's what the release notes:

Error message appears when you try to apply the tunnel interface to a card encryption.

Old behavior: Error Message is not displayed when you try to apply tunnel interface card encryption using the command card crypto (interface IPSec).

New behavior: an error message appears when you try to apply the tunnel interface to a crypto map using the

    crypto map command (interface IPSec).

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/iOS/15_1/release/notes/151TNEWF.html

The order reference has the following information about the error message:

A card encryption cannot be applied to a tunnel interface. If you try to apply the tunnel interface to a card encryption, an error message is displayed as follows: crypto card is configured on the tunnel interface. Currently, only card crypto Group domain of interpretation (GDOI) is supported on the tunnel interface.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/iOS/Security/command/reference/sec_c4.html#wp1078283

So it seems that on the new version, you can only use one (new to me) maps crypto GDOI on your tunnel interfaces.

Here's a doc that explains the GDOI implementation, I wish that I could help with the Setup, but as I said, I had not heard of him until today.

I hope this clarifies your questions.

After updating my iPhone 5 IOS 9.3.3 my iPhone keeps searching for signal without result. No call no inside or outside. After checks and tests at an Apple Store - not free - they said that the problem must be linked to an internal component. I refuse to follow that before I try this: I can't hope to update again 9.3.4 can solve the problem?

  • How to completely remove an e-mail account set in place by a spam?

I received an email from political spam Conservapoll decision 2016.  I get a lot of political emails.  I read this one and in the process, it seems to have inserted information for a new e-mail account on my iPhone.  The settings page does not contain the box "delete this account" expected at the bottom.  So far I was not able to delete the account settings, even if I reset my main server.  I drop probably to the Apple local Store to chat with a technician, but I fear that this bode for Apple IOS security implications.

See settings > General > profiles

I think that's how they get these accounts of e-mail on your device.
