IPad Wi - Fi for Color Laserjet MFP M177 pro

Evil on the tray upward. The printer seems to require a network to connect wirelessly to my IPAD. But my IPAD works on 3G and is not part of any network in my office. I already have the IPAD to connect to an HP printer at home where there is a network, but not to my office. ive already got the HP eprint App running, but it cannot identify the printer, which is turned on (but requires for me to select a network). If someone can direct me as to how I connect my IPAD to my new printer MFP Pro Laserjetc wireless (no other way with an IPAD)? Mny tks

Hello

You must either connect the printer to your network via an Ethernet cable or wireless by running the installation on a PC, and then connect the iPad to the same network as the printer wireless.

If you do not have a wireless network at the office you can also use Direct from the printer wireless capability by following these steps:

    Hi Peter,.

Contrary to the impression, digitizing require imaging software and the scanner cannot be used without installing any software.

Must have these permissions to install the software for scanning on the computer.

To work around the problem, try scanning without using the computer.

Follow the introduction section printable HP below, then search the HP site connected, if there is any what pads there are instead of digital archiving for your printer as "Scan to E-mail", "Dropbox" or a driver of Google that allow the scan to the cloud on the front of the printer.

Platelets availability depands of the model of the printer, I have consist some of the above options may be available for your printer.

  • HP Color LaserJet MFP M177 Pro: MFP177 frozen screen energy saver logo

My new Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw still works, but the front is frozen with the logos of saver hp and energy, which means that there are no features in the control panel. I can therefore use it to manually, make copies, or do something that I would normally with the front panel. I tried everything the hp support asked me to do it (plug it directly into the wall, restart it, hold down the power button for a minute, plug, reconnect everything, etc.) and nothing has solved the problem. It is clearly a hardware problem?

    Hi @eng-ihab,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that the printer is locked during initialization. I want to help you solve this problem. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

The update of the firmware usually fixes this problem, but I don't see one available for Windows 10. If the printer is installed on an older operating system also, I would say to run the update of the firmware with it.

Here is the link: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw, select the operating system.

I would say to remove all toners, turn on the printer and wait for the printer to the State to reinstall toners manually. Just to rule out a toner not sitting correctly, the origin of this problem.

You can move manually the carousel is not blocked.

Open the scanner cover and cover less than one so you should see the toners.

On the left side of the black frame, you will see an oval hole with a piece of white plastic on the inside.

You will need to use something to press the white plastic piece, at the same time, push the carousel backwards, do not touch the toner however. It must be in good position to get out the toner.

I've included a picture with the region, where to use the manual function of the printer.

Make sure that the print queue is also allowed to leave, I saw this also cause the printer go in initialization.

I can send a private message with some one more step to try.

    Hi @StephanieB2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are having problems with the networking of the printer. I want to help you solve this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

It's really weird that the printer is expire when you put the network password.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

You can also configure the printer on the wireless network, thanks to the Wi - Fi Direct connection.

Tap the icon on the screen of the printer wireless.

Select the Wi - Fi Direct connection.

Turn it on, if it isn't already, and if there is a code it marks down.

Then on the Mac, go to the airport icon and connect to the network printer. (Direct 69 HP Laserjet M277)

If requested a code or password, put the one you noted.

Then open Safari and type 192.168.223.1.

He will be responsible: the printer Web server integrated.

    Click the network tab.

On the left side of the window, select Wireless Network Configuration and fill your information.

    Apply the settings.

Can connect you to your network.

    Then add the printer.

Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
Scanners & printers, then click the plus sign +.

Select the printer in the list.

Select your printer from the drop-down and click on the Add button.

    Test the printer.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • Color LaserJet MFP M177fw Pro: Scan to Mac with Color LaserJet MFP M177fw Pro

I bought and the latest drivers from hp installation a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw. are downloaded and installed.

I have a Mac and you connect wirelessly to the printer, which works very well. The Mac runs Yosemite 10.10.3

My question is the digitization. There is no option for scanning anywhere, not on the small screen of the printer not on the usefulness of the printer or any where.

Summer spend hours online to find an answer and is now well bored.

I have already reset the disc printing, verified and repaired systems. Can not scan even with the options offered on the forums of hp using Apple caprure or preview. It seems that all these options include versions of OS X prior to Yosemite?

I buy a multifunction printer that is not scan? I said to the saleswoman that I need a printer that can scan and airprint...

Is it possible to scan to a mac at all with this printer? Any help?

    Hi @sa9494,

I see that you have problems with scanning. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Color LaserJet MFP M177fw Pro)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

Here is a screenshot of what it should look like. You have the scanning through top tab?

I have also included a document for HP printers - scan with HP Software in OS X v10.10 Yosemite.

Scanning ports is not open on the router to the origin of this problem. You can contact the router company to verify and to open these ports 9220/9500/427 on the router.

Connect the printer with the USB cable, to see if you have the same results.

    Let me know.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below.
If you have any questions, please let me know what steps you have taken and the results. Thank you.

Like others who have posted here, I have been unable to get the printer software to complete the installation. The printer is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn, 3 months. I'm trying to install the software on a new workstation HP Z240 performing Windows 10 (64-bit). The connection is via USB cable. The printer and the software have been previously used with a Windows 7 machine without problem.

I tried, repeatedly, to install the software from the disc supplied with the printer and also a 126.6 mb download HP Color LaserJet MFP printer M477 Pro series full software and drivers. Thanks for any help solving this.

I think I understood the question, 10 windows installs its own driver, and the installation program expects the hp driver to install.

DO this FOR THE HP INSTALLER PROCESS (when the percentage meter goes)

    1. go into the Device Manager and find the printer in the list of devices

    2. right click on the printer and select "Update Driver software"

    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

    4. choose "Let Me pick one...» »

    5. Select the named driver: HP Color LaserJet MFP M477 PCL-6 Pro (make sure it's one with a dash between the pcl and 6!)

    6. click next and back to the installation of hp box and must now see the printer and continue the installation.
