    Hello JBishop1001,

Download and save McAfee Stinger on your desktop
    http://www.McAfee.com/us/downloads/free-tools/Stinger.aspx

Close all browsers before you start. Disable your antivirus and anti-malware software as appropriate.
HOS to temporarily disable your anti-virus, firewall and Anti-malware programs

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114351

n systems Windows 7 and Vista, right-click Stinger-icon on your desktop and select run as administrator.
On XP, double-click it to start it.

Drive C is the default value for scanning.
Press the button Preferences.  In the top of the page right block "on the detection of the virus', click repair
In the low 'heuristic network of suspicious files check"block select High

    Click the scan now button.
When you're finished, use the file menu and select Save report to file
Stinger.txt is the report of the journal and will be saved to your desktop.  Copy paste & the contents of this log in your next reply.

Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific malicious software. It is not a complete analysis for all types of malware or viruses.
It is not intended as a protection against the virus.

In your next reply, be much more accurate. You didn't tell what you've done analyses, what is your anti-virus program, and if it is current and up-to-date.

Unless you have jailbroken your iOS devices, there are no viruses that can infect them. Sounds like PayPal tries to return the ball.

  • Is my iPad has a virus?

I'm one of these scam messages saying I was caught watching a child * on my iPad. The message was just one of those pop up messages like the one say you you have 10% remaining battery. I quickly closed safari, reopened, and removed from the tab. Pop up had an OK button at the bottom, but I press on it. . Can I catch a virus to do that? I know it's a scam message. How do I know if my iPad has a virus? I transformed my iPad and turn it on again and when I did about 10 applications have been opened that I never use. I closed turned them on again and the same apps were opened in the same order. Also my safari changed for the Google Desktop instead of the normal site.i mobile version I'm on iOS 9.1.

You have made the right choice. You will get a pop up virus.  You can also go to settings > safari > clear historic data and Web site to get the pop up to go further if necessary. -AJ

  • What, if anything, should I do: Malware virus Monday, 09/07/12. I have Norton.

Should I do to prevent malware problems on Monday, 09/07/12?  I have Norton on my system and that you regularly run full crawls.  Nothing did never appear as a problem.  Should I go to some site to scan my system for a possible malware virus?

I'm just passing on the article I read this morning.

  • Phone call suspect on malware virus. Should I have one?

I received a phone call from "Gary", who said he was from Microsoft and that I had a malware virus on my computer and it should be supported until my computer became free.  He took me to the beginning/right clik on my computer/manage/event viewer/application where a long list of files with the information/error/warning in the left column came with files etc in the other columns.  He said this had to be cleaned and he could do but my Windows Security had expired and I need to restore WS for $129 for 2 years or $199 for 5 and then it would be "clean" my computer for me that would take an hour or two.  I told him I had no money and asked his phone number call at the time where I did.  What I always if Microsoft wants.  Anyway, I went to the MS site and ran the malware software and nothing came as a threat in the analysis.  I have McAfee running and nothing comes it of scan either.   In any case... is this guy legitimate?  My computer has a problem of malicious and ready to come out of the blue screen program?  How will I know?  My computer seems to work OK, but he said that when I go on the internet that someone is trying to hack in.  I know that this potential is still there, that's why I run an antivirus program.  Some programs are better than others?  Help me please to clarify all this.  Thank you

  • How to fix my XP machine and remove malware, virus XUQyrtHsUvxpmUf.exe

I have a malware virus on my windows xp professional O.S.  I think the name of the file is XUQyrtHsUvxpmUf.exe.  It allows me to run the restore of the system at a given date.  In addition, it has disabled the ability of my software McAffee to perform real-time scanning.  I downloaded malwarebytes and it may not even half a scan performed before the virus begins its cascade of messages of hard drive failure and restarts the machine.

If you have any suggestions (other than throw the keyboard on the screen), please let me know them!
    Thanks a bunch!

There is no known viruses or malware for a non jailbroken Apple device.

  • Dell Dock exe "application not found" error after cleaning malware virus and fix registry problems

Hey guys!, I had a problem with malware. (In particular this Vista Internet Security * who seems to knock everyone). I fixed this problem as well as the issue with the thing of my Microsoft Security (which sets the windows Defender) and then I went through and fixed my registry problems who came later as some aftereffect of the virus. (Phew!) Now that it is finally all done I click on my dock dell to go to internet explore and BAM! "Application not found" in an area which the header indicates dell dock.exe. Now I just got through my fixing registry problems so that I have all my .exe programs can open without a problem. All other issues are resolved except this! What's wrong?! Please, someone help. (I can get Internet explore any other way, but it's not my PC and I don't want the owner to think I broke it) PS Can't do system restore I would lose my updates which are very necessary can't do a registry fix because I already did and I don't want to mess with it again is not sure if reinstall dell dock should solve the problem I just install IE9 and all my other icons in dell dock work very well

    Hello

    also run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation
