Phone call suspect on malware virus. Should I have one?
I received a phone call from "Gary", who said he was from Microsoft and that I had a malware virus on my computer and it should be supported until my computer became free. He took me to the beginning/right clik on my computer/manage/event viewer/application where a long list of files with the information/error/warning in the left column came with files etc in the other columns. He said this had to be cleaned and he could do but my Windows Security had expired and I need to restore WS for $129 for 2 years or $199 for 5 and then it would be "clean" my computer for me that would take an hour or two. I told him I had no money and asked his phone number call at the time where I did. What I always if Microsoft wants. Anyway, I went to the MS site and ran the malware software and nothing came as a threat in the analysis. I have McAfee running and nothing comes it of scan either. In any case... is this guy legitimate? My computer has a problem of malicious and ready to come out of the blue screen program? How will I know? My computer seems to work OK, but he said that when I go on the internet that someone is trying to hack in. I know that this potential is still there, that's why I run an antivirus program. Some programs are better than others? Help me please to clarify all this. Thank you

Phone call of support of Windows said I have a virus
I received a call from an Indian man today telling me that it was Windows Support and that my system had a virus on it, and it was dangerous. I stopped the man and told him that a relative of mine has had the same call and that she had checked that it was not Microsoft and Windows wouldn't contact me by phone unless I had contacted and asked them to call me. He tried telling me that if I didn't do that he asked that the system would get slower and more slowly and eventually fall down, I told him bluntly that I didn't believe that it was Windows and he was trying to sell me something that I really don't need that I have Norton 360 and had not flashed up problems with viruses. He told me that Norton 360 was not very good and it would still leave virus (a lie). I then asked where he got my number as I don't give, if I can help, he said, it is based on a questionnaire (which I had not filled in), I told him that I was a member of the GST with BT and I didn't talk to him more, and he could be sentenced to a fine for call me cold and then put the phone down.
These people don't realize that there are actually certain IT savvy computer owners out there, what really gets me, is that they tell us that they got our information from questionnaires or market research when we have not completed anything, either online or other.

Phone calls suspects, eager to use the DOS commands on the computer
* Original title: possibility of abuse
Lately, I got several calls from East Indian, who say they work for Microsoft and they have detected the problem with my Windows and the computer. I usually hang up on them, because I don't think that Microsoft is doing this. I just got this call and has played with the guy for a while, but he was willing to go to make changes via commands back that sounded suspicious to me so I hung up. I'm just confirm, but Microsoft does not doesn't it?
This is a scam that last for years. Microsoft never does unsolicited phone calls.

Microsoft has none of the unsolicited telephone calls to help you fix your computer
In this type of scam cybercriminals are calling you and claim to be of Support technique Microsoft. They offer help with your computer problems. Once scammers have earned your trust, they try to steal and damage your computer with malicious software, including viruses and spyware.
Although the law enforcement can trace phone numbers, often authors use pay telephones, disposable cell phones or stolen cellular phone numbers. Better avoid fooling themselves rather than try to repair the damage afterwards.
Treat all unsolicited sceptically telephone calls. Don't provide personal information.
If you receive an unsolicited call from someone who claims to be from Technical Support Microsoft, hang up. We do not have such calls.

Hi all
I want to implement is the request for phone call PBX.
I don't have this idea because my company has no PBX system.
I just googled and got an idea.
I need to install MVS on my handheld blackbery. and
Then, create the application to call a phone call.
Now, the question is:
is - this simple RIM call Invoke. invokeApplication (APP_TYPE_PHONE, new PhoneArguments(ARG_CALL, 'Phone PBX' + 'extension'));
to connect with a coporation PBX phone system?
Any information would be great interacted.
Thanks in advance.
It is possible to write extensions PBX with the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (MVS).
When creating a call from a third party the application, the call is made from the phone line to the default user (MVS/PBX line or cell). This is configurable by the user in the phone app. Currently has no means for an application to specify the telephone line to use when you start a call.

I also received a phone call from an Indian man who claims to make Windows and I have a Virus
I also received a phone call from an Indian man who said I had a virus, I did not open anything but try to connect but could not it says something like unable to connect that someonelse is connected, I tried to log on my girls password and the same thing happened there. When I closed the computer and re entered my password allowed me right there. My question is I did not open anything when he was on the phone I just connected, he was hacking my computer or was pure coincidence. I don't do banking over the internet, but I paid for a few things on the line and I'm afraid that he can get any substance persional. Help, please! Thank you
Only way he could access your computer is if you gave him the passwords, or enables a remote access connection by... you should have to install Teamviewer, Logmein or other legitimate applications and then give the code to access it.
Here are some other links you find interesting... extends over what you might have faced if you let scammers in your computer.
Kind regards...

No matter which Microsoft windows contact you about viruses in your computer at home never?
Hi & welcome
As my partner mentioned above, it is an obvious scam... & should be useful, as it has existed for a time "long enough."
Report the Microsoft phone scam
Cybercriminals don't just send e-mails fraudulent and created fake sites Web.
They could also call you on the phone and claim to be from Microsoft.
They could offer help to solve your computer problems or sell you a software license.
Once they have access to your computer, they can do the following:
Encourage you to install malicious software that catches of sensitive data, like user of banking online names and passwords. They may also charge you for to remove this software.
Convince you to visit legitimate Web sites (like www.ammyy.com) to download the software that will allow them to take control of your computer remotely and adjust settings to make your computer vulnerable.
Request credit card information so that they can charge you for bogus services.
Direct you to fraudulent Web sites and you prompted to enter the credit card and other personal or financial information.
Neither Microsoft nor their partners make unsolicited phone calls (also known as the telephone canvassing) you charge for security patches or software.

My phone has stopped ringing, but it will vibrate and display as a call comes in, so what settings should I have on that. I don't remember changing anything?
Have you checked the ring/silent switch on the left side of the phone?
If the switch is slid to the back of the phone and you can see a red line above the switch (the side closest to the screen), it is in silent mode.

Scam phone calls re malware indicating that they are "Microsoft."
Hello I get a series of scam phone calls indicating that they are of "microsoft" and say that I have a problem with my computer. The numbers on the caller ID of the phone are: 002133333206, 003105999211, 002532362020, 002063971113, 003606339006, 0013212000143 and 001753615204. They also asked me similar question such as if my computer is turned on and that it /she (because sometimes it's a woman's voice and, sometimes, a man's voice) can fix it. I always tell them that I'm not interested in such a way they cling fast to the phone. Can you please review?
Fake phone calls to technical support
Such unsolicited telephone calls are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:

Microsoft does ever not requested for telephone calls of support or security.
(such persons may use names other than Microsoft as well)
It's just a technical forum, so we cannot investigate these people. You should contact your local police or the authorities for this.
