Is it possible to import Powerpoint slides to a sensitive project?

I want to create a sensitive project a Powerpoint file. After I created the responsive project in CP 8 and go to the Import menu to import Powerpoint slides, the option is grayed out. Is it not possible to import Powerpoint slides into a sensitive project?

You cannot import PPT slides in a sensitive project.

    Hi-

Is it possible to import the PowerPoint slide to show only a part of the screen? I would like to have the PowerPoint presentation on about 1/3 of the page and maintain the content of pages to stay in the other 2/3 of the page. Is this possible? If so, how?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Not out of the box, I'm afraid.

Two questions: do you have animations on the PPT slides you want to play or are they just static?

If they are static: you can insert an image, otherwise you will insert a SWF file. This could be done by creating a separate at a lower resolution (or scaled down) CP file and publish it in a SWF file. You may need a SWF-loader widget (take a look at the site of Michael www.cpguru.com) to load the film generated by CP in CP-file.

Someone else may have another suggestion for you.

  • I want to change the text in Captivate after import PowerPoint slides

    Hello

Background: I import slides from a .pptx file. Once the slide is created inside Captivate, I want to change the text in the slide, but I can't. It became part of the background. So, I'm left with two options: 1) open the .pptx file, change the text, and then re-import the slide 2) manually create everything on the slide inside Captivate. This means a lot of work. I was hoping that Captivate 7 would solve this, but what seemed possible could address - high fidelity - is not available for mac. I'm sure that others have this problem too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Yes, I also never create presentations in PPT, but when my clients want an e-Learning course developed, they almost always send me a PPT - UGH. I'll just recreate each slide manually, because I have to have Captivate to all its other powerful tools. Thanks for your response!

I created a few slides on PowerPoint and saved as .jpg files.  When I imported into Windows Movie Maker, the program crashed whenever the 'project' landed on one of these files.  What is happening and how to fix this?

  • Is it possible to import a .css file into a project?

We have developed several projects during the months that I've been here, and I thought it would be convenient to set up a .css file and store somewhere, then import it whenever I'm starting a new project, rather than having to put in place a new .css file each time. It would also ensure consistency.

FYI: I use RH2015, with WebHelp output.

    Thank you

    LON

@Jeff. This method is fine for your workflow where you don't care how it looks in the design editor.

@Lon copy in the root as Jeff but select all topics from the topic list and right-click. Then, you can apply the CSS to the topics so that you see the results in the design editor work you. New topics, simply apply this CSS when they are created.

  • Is it possible to import a layer group into a project to another project?

    Hi all

I am currently using after effects 5... Yes it is version 5, not CS5.

I'm trying to figure out if I can import a layer group and their applied effects in another project while keeping all the editable attributes and positions of the imported layers with respect to one another.

I see that I can import an ASP project file into another project through the FILE to be IMPORTED, but just, which brings the raw project window files/layers and don't place no layers in the timeline with all their positions, the effects and the edited attributes, how I had like.

Also tried to previously compose the layer, but who did not leave their editable once a demo was made... just makes the 7 layers I want to import in to another project all one layer and not let them be changed the way the 7 layers are separately.

In Adobe Premiere, there is a real ' IMPORT the PROJECT ' selection under IMPORT that allows me to import an entire project in another project and allows me to place the imported project where I want in the new project editing... that's what I try to do in After Effects.

I realize that there may be a way easy to make it in one of its latest versions of After Effects and the other may say, 'just buy the new AE CS5', but I figured out allot of things on my own so far and I love after effects 5 for what I do now... maybe later on the newer version.

    Thank you for any input,

    Digi

Just import the source project in the new project.  Open the original composition, select the layers you want and copy.  Then, open the new composition and paste.

If you want to be really ordered on this subject, you can make a temporary version of the source project that contains only the layers you want to move to the new project.  Import this temp project to the new, then you can delete the temp project.

  • Impossible to import PowerPoint in the sensitive design template

    Hello

I have a PowerPoint to be converted to a sensitive design project. I noticed that when I create a new project of delicate design, importation of PowerPoint is greyed out.

    Is this normal?

Also if I create a Captivate project basis, is it possible to convert a sensitive project if a customer decides they need, without a complete rebuild?

    Thank you

It is not possible to import Powerpoint slides into a sensitive to all project, makes sense to me but will not bore you with an explanation. The technique, the programming is so different. The planned themes are sensitive, PPT is not.

Same negative answer your second question, for the same reason. You can use the assets of the PPT, but will need to create your own sensitive project.

  • Could not import all of the PowerPoint slides

I created a PPT presentation with 117 slides I want to import into Captivate 3. However, whenever I try to import slides PPT in Captivate file, I see that Captivate detects the first 77 slides of the presentation (40 slides are still missing). I tried to cut the PPT file into several smaller files and import each of these files separately, but whenever I get to the 77th slide, Captivate cannot import slides more (when I go to file > import > PowerPoint slides... and select the desired PPT file, it shows only a blank slide even if the PPT file in question has several slides in there).

How can I get Captivate to detect all 117 slides of my PPT presentation?

I found the answer: in the pane left of your PPT presentation, when you click on 'Preview', you can see that each slide has its own name. most of the slides have no names at all (the space next to them is just empty), however some slides are named after a specific text box, that you can find on the slide itself. It turns out the slides that Captivate has not detected that all had exactly the same name (as you might see in the section overview in the left of your presentation as pane described above). I simply deleted the names in order to could be "no-name" slides as all other slides in the presentation. It also automatically removed from the text box related on those slides, but I simply replaced those with the standard toolbar text boxes.

Summary: All the slides have different names (or blank) as seen from the Plan of your presentation for Captivate tab import correctly.

  • Captivate 8 won't import PowerPoint 2013

Hello. I just started my test today - curved steep learning - sorry if this is an obvious question. But I searched online and here and cannot find a solution.

So I hope someone can help.

I am running Windows 8.1 and using Office 365 - so my version of PowerPoint is 2013.

First of ALL, if I create a sensitive project, when I click on file > import, 'PowerPoint Slides' is grayed out. Not an option. Is it possible to fix this, so that I can insert PPT into a sensitive project.

SECOND, if I try to create a new project of MS PowerPoint, Captivate gives me an error message when you try to import .pptx files. If I save it as a .ppt older version files, they seem to work - but I lose audio, etc.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Keith

Sorry, but I have really no idea why PPTX would fail. I am not a member of the Captivate development team, so I guess right here. Something is obviously a little different with the 2013 PPT, PPTX file format. Here again, you've probably already guessed that.

Using the solution I suggested (check the TPP so it plays) must provide an exact copy of the colors and other whatnot that were in the PPT.

It is in fact another way, you can try things out. Take the PPTX and copy it. Then rename the file of PPTX in ZIP extension. At this point, you should have access to the Windows File Explorer to view the contents. You could simply extract the images you need. Then, you can use Captivate projects. Projects of the same nature reactive!

  • Best practices when it comes to insert audio to powerpoint slides

I create a mix of slides with animations and software simulation projects in captivate.

Currently, I have developed the audio files associated with objects of the PowerPoint slide animation. My question

    • Can I insert sound files in PowerPoint and change the timing of the animation based on the duration of the audio. I've been playing with editing and be too honest, I'm getting a little frustrated trying to synchronize.

    or

    • Can I insert the audio using Captivate after you import PowerPoint slides?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Concerning

    AJ

All the audio clips will be stored in the library. Either from the library or by using the Audio Control Panel, you can edit audio clips directly in the hearing (part of the Adobe Creative, one of the best audio applications available cloud) and when recording that they are automatically edited in Captivate as well. Workflow even exists with Photoshop: you can modify a Photoshop source file, where Captivate will keep the layers wanted separate way images in the library, and you can modify of Captivate right away in Photoshop. Captivate integration with other Adobe applications is unique in the e-learning tools.

  • CP9 sensitive project - where are the transitions between slides?

Transitions between slides are available via the sync Panel when you create a blank project (unfounded).

Where are the transitions between slides when you use a sensitive project? The distribution Board is not in the property inspector.

Certainly, it is always possible to add a transition between slides for a sensitive project? If so, how?

The slide transitions are not supported for projects of a reactive nature, they are not yet supported for the release of HTML5. The distribution panel is available (at least in the Expert user interface), you can apply a transition, but HTML5 Tracker will indicate that this is not a supported feature.

  • Is it possible to import a project of Simulation in a PowerPoint project?

    I created a project 2 - a PowerPoint presentation and the other a Simulation.

I thought that I would be able to integrate the simulation in the PowerPoint project - that is, create a button to run the simulation. But I can't seeem to understand how.

    Is this possible?

I think that Steve is misled by your title, he thinks he wants to integrate a simulation project created with Captivate in a ppt. When I read your question, I think you mean combining two projects Captivate, one based on a ppt, this one a software simulation. Could you confirm?

If my suspicion is correct, you have two ways to do this:

    1. Use an interactive object in the first PPT-CP-file and a link to the Simulation project published. You must be careful when you transfer them both not to break the link. You are the publication in HTML or SWF format?
    2. Combine the two projects in a CP-project, which is easy enough, as long as they both have the same resolution (width and height in pixels). Open both projects, each is displayed in a tab, select the slide in the PPT project, after which you want to insert the slides of the simulation. Switch to the tab with the simulation project, select all of the slides in the film, copy it, go back to the first project and paste them. To provide a navigation within this project, you can use an interactive object (such as a form button, click box or button) to jump to the first slide of the simulation. You do not specify a type of simulation: demo, training or assessment? If you post on MP4 as Steve suggests, you should have lost any interactivity, which is particularly important for training and assessment. If it is a demo, I would recommend not not to use the classic capture (made from slides), but the demo video for the best quality if you choose to publish in MP4.
  • Import of MS Powerpoint slides to Captivate

Anyone know why I cannot import MS Powerpoint slides in Captivate? The option is out ghost under file > import > PowerPoint presentation. I'm building a sensitive project classroom and tried to import a Content Slide that I formatted with a style of master. As a work around, since there are only two PowerPoint slides, I opened in Adobe Photoshop and turned them into jpg. Then I have those in my slide of content placed side by side. Two bad that I can't manage to put a Powerpoint presentation that would leap upward in a separate window. PS. There are things on Captivate that seem really basic to me, but I want to make a more robust program. Thank you!

Please use PNG, not with JPEG compression if you want quality. I would NEVER start a PPT for a sensitive project (and rarely for an empty project). A great presentation tool is not a tool of e-Learning good, certainly not if your focus is on mobile devices.

I wanted to add that if you still want to import PPT-Slides into a normal (empty) project, you can use a custom slide template. Import PPT will always need the blank slide that must be empty (except for background color later). That Blank Master slide is also necessary for any simulation software.

It is not only for the conversion to the SWF format that you can not import PPT into a sensitive project, but also because every PPT slide has a fixed resolution, projects of nature reactive need to have a dynamic resolution, as well for the slides and objects. It's one of the reasons for the Panel properties of Position is so important for projects of a reactive nature, and the leaders have a default value of % instead of pixels.

  • Is it possible to import a model PPT in Captivate 8 as a model?

Is it possible to import a model PPT in Captivate 8 as a model?  I want to take the PPT templates and use them in Cp8.

I created a project in MS PowerPoint Cp8 to modify the project in a model, but the Master from the transfer blades were empty.   There is no reason to create a project template if the master slides are empty.

    Any suggestions?

You're talking about two very different technologies here.  While Captivate is certainly able to import content created originally in PPT, under the hood, what are totally different applications.  Adobe has gone to some lengths to make PPT users feel more at home when using Captivate, but does include all the PPTs model structure.  Basically the PPT Slides just became backgrounds of the slides in Captivate.

You are well advised to think in terms of creating templates to save time create several projects with a similar structure or brand.  But you will have to create them in Captivate 8 from the ground upward.  And if you STILL want to do sensitive e-Learning, make sure you that you learn to use sensitive issues to Cp8 and build your own model and his custom on those theme.
