  • Install FSCM and HRMS on the same server and tools

    Hello

    on a windows Server 2008, I have already installed FSCM92 tools 8.53.0.4.

Can I also install HRMS92 using the same tools?

    Thank you.

    Yes, you can.

How classes are installed? Prices FSCM PTools already separated?

In appl 9.2 / tools 8.53, nothing is made more simple, you have a variable PS_HOME and PS_APP_HOME to separate one from the other.

You can also separate FSCM HR of the configuration file, then set the PS_CFG_HOME variable as well.

    Hi friends,
Already we have a 10 g database in Windows server 2003 environment. It runs correctly.

  • Can I install OBIEE 10 g and 11g on the same machine?

While I'm waiting for new hardware, I wanted to start on the installation of OBIEE 11 g on my laptop. Can I do if I have already 10g installed?

I want to assure you that if I install that it will not affect my current configuration of 10g. I don't know if it substitutes for certain files and folders, or if I can do a separate install for both.

Hi, I installed OBIEE 10 g and 11g of the same machine (by car).

Because the installation of 10g OBIEE was the first, it took the 9704 and 9703 port for messages of the BI server.

Then I installed the OBIEE 11 g installation used the port 9500 (analytical) and por 9702 for BI server. It has also used port 7001 to Weblogic Administration Console.

The two instances of OBIEE works great!

  • Running the Single Instance and RAC on the same server of different homes.

    Hi guys,.

I already have 4 node RAC12c installed on OLE 6.

I'm planing on some of my other 12 single instance databases on other migration for RAC nodes.

Please correct me here if I am wrong...

My understanding is that, to be able to use DBCA or rconfig for conversion of database instance RAC, the only instance and RAC cluster must run on the same server or machine node.

Thanks to this understanding... Am planing on the installation of a binary single instance on one of my cluster node node1 say and then use RMAN to duplicate the single instance or just an RMAN restore from the node of the instance that is unique to this node1. Am capable of this plan must then use DBCA or rconfig to convert the CARS database.

Now, my question is can I run a single instance and RAC on the same server for different homes with different database ports?

    2. for these unique instance that runs on the server RAC 1 node, can I use the RAC database listener that runs from the House of the grid or I have to create another auditor?

Thank you in advance and also let me know if I can use DBCA or rconfig when the only instance and rac database are on separate nodes.

    K

Fix. And that's what I would normally do. In general, I would have just an ORACLE_HOME directory that can be used by the punctual and RAC databases at the same time.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

Yes, you can do this (but not on the same page). I recommend you to check with your provider server first however.

  • SRM and VCenter on the same server?

I was just by reading the documentation and I saw that I need to have vCenter in both places in my SRM deployment. Now I'm on a server. SRM and vCenter co-exist on the same server? Is it still a good idea. I don't have a problem with the purchase of another server if I need to.

I have a follow-up question on the vCenter licenses. Do I need to purchase a second license for the recovering site vCenter?

    -Patrick

SRM and VCenter can coexist on the same server.  You will see a performance impact when you test your disaster recovery plan.  I think that a lot of achievements have vCenter and SRM on the same server.  If you do not want to take the risk of a performance hit on your vCenter server you might move RS for its own box, but I advise to use a virtual machine instead of another physical server.

I think that you need a license of vCenter to each site.  If your recovery site hosts only the DR then you can use your existing licenses for ESX.  If your DR will site also its own VM produciton is then you will need full license.

  • installation of 10g and 11g on the same system?

I have Windows XP and you have installed the database 10g. Can I install 11g on the same system and I need to use one of the database?

    Thanks in advance.

As long as you succeed ORACLE_HOME correctly to work on your different databases, having more than one version of Oracle on a server is not a problem.

  • Cf11 and CF8 on the same server.

    Hello

I need to install cf11 on the same windows Server 2008 as an existing installation of cf8.

I know that it would be preferable to have 2 servers, but in this case it is not an option open to us, so I need specific help with the 2 installs.

    The current CF8 using IIS7.

I did a bit of the spade work, and I think that the best way to do it cleanly would install a 2nd web server, such as apache on windows, and then configure it with CF11.

I had hoped that I could actually install CF11 and simply configure iis specific sites with it, hoping it would leave intact the cf8 configured sites.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you have 2 webistes, one that you want to run with ColdFusion 8 and others you want to run with ColdFusion 11 on the same server then yes it is possible. However, two versions of ColdFusion do server same site on the same server.

Launch the Web of CF8 Server Configuration tool and if CF 8 is configured with IIS all websites, then remove the connector for the set and add the site Web/sites one by one and you want to run with ColdFusion 8.

Now, go ahead and install ColdFusion 11 and in the window 'Set up the Web server', choose the site you want to run with CF 11

NOTE : two more important points to remember:

    1. do not remove the CF 8 connector if it is a production server

    2. do not choose all with CF 8 / CF 11 under IIS Web site, because if you choose ALL then all sites under IIS will be configured with this version of CF.

  • Can I install Win7 and Win8 on the same partition?

I have a 500 GB partition I want to use to install windows 7 and windows 8. I have windows 8 already installed, I want to know if I can install Win7?

You must have another partition to install windows 7 on! but you can install windows 7 on the same partition, if you create a virtual hard drive partition and install windows on this VHD file. This way you can dualboot n/b operating system.

    Hope that helped, thank you.

  • Is it possible for SocketChannel write and read at the same time?

    Hello

May a SocketChannel simultaneously read and write?

Yes. TCP/IP is a full-duplex protocol and therefore its Java application. Two of them.

The only exception I know is weird where you use a SocketChannel in blocking via channels flow mode. These are internally synchronized probably on the channel itself, or at least a common object, so the reads and writes are synchronized between them. It is clearly a bug.

  • Fusion and Parallels on the same computer?

A few months ago, I went from Fuiosn 3.0 to Parallels 5 mainly to see if Parallels would be faster on my iMac (it was).  I like parallel, but all-in-all, I liked the Fusion experience, better, I used a little unity and Fusion felt less intrusive on Mac.  So finally my question: is it possible to install Parallels and Fusion on the same machine, without a lot of interference between them, since they have both fact their integration with MAC OS X.  I do not really want to run them at the same time, but just have both installed, so I can try one and then the other.  I'm guessing it's something stupid and prone to problems, but I wanted to see if anyone else had tried, and what has been their experience.

I tried to search but the only things I found were in 2007 and 2008.

I have two Parallels and VMware Fusion installed on my MacBook Pro and have no problem having both installed at the same time however I have not run them at the same time, neither do I.

  • Oracle 9i and 10g on the same machine?

    Hello!

I tried to install oracle 9i (* 9.2.0.1 *) and 10g (* 10.2.0.4 *) on the same server (windows 2008 sp2). First, I installed 9i and 10g (two editions of the company). then I tried to create a Database 9i with database configuration assistant. After you configure the database settings and began creating, the installer crashed (JRE. EXE, module symcjit.dll failure).

someone has an idea of what the problem might be or a tutorial how to install 9i and 10g on the same server? Thanks in advance!

    Best regards
    Christian

The problem is that 9.2.0.1 is not yet certified for Windows 2008 and was backed off long ago.
This means regarding this version, you are on your own.
Oracle 10.2.0.4 also is no longer in first aid, then Oracle will not address all the new problems.
You can switch to 11 GR 2 or to demote the server to Windows XP. Windows XP is however out of support too.
