  Maybe and maybe not.  You should have been provided with some means to reinstall Windows on your machine should something bad happen.

  The closest info from you, that I found on this is a Microsoft KB article that describes a very similar error message.  The reason given in this article, it's that the TI PCI-1130 on Windows 2000 Professional supports only a 16-bit device.

  Now, you have another controller of TI and you are not using Windows 2000 Professional, but your system is extremely outdated if she has XP service pack 1.  Assuming that whatever cards you are supposed to be supported in Windows XP, I suspect that you need to install service pack 3 and following updates critical.

  I have a new Vostro 1500, the other Vostro 1500 has missed with a poor diet. I now have a new and I would like to put my old hard drive in the new computer to retreave some information from it, and then remove the old drive and put a new one in the new Vostro. The two systems are the same prossesor XP pro, same same Vostro 1500 model, the only difference is the new Vostro has 2 gig of memory in it and the bad Vostro had 1 gig. Please advise, I like to go and the info on the other drive, I have a few emails and photos of family on the old disk. The old HD was 80 gig and the news is 160 gig.
