Keynote force quit?

My friend sent me an attachment of Keynote for a project, but I can't click on anything. If I try, it made the sound error. When I click on "exit" on the app, it does nothing. Most of the options when I click on Keynote in the upper left corner is greyed out. Is there a way can I fix?

Too bad. I clicked on the icon Apple and he got force quit.

  • IPhoto library is locked and 'force quit' or restarting solves the problem. Any ideas?

iPhoto has error message: library is locked. clicking on repair or force quit or restart has not resolved. How can I get the app to restart?

Can you give us the exact error message? Generally, the most common one said something on a disclock. Is your library on an external? If so, what format is it?

    Also, what version of iPhoto?

Assuming that is not on an external, try to download iPhoto Library Manager and use the rebuild feature. (In early versions of the Library Manager, this is the file-> control Rebuild. In versions later it is under the menu library.)

This will create a completely new library. It will then copy (or try) your photos and all associated metadata and versions to this library and as close as possible to what you had in the damaged library fix it. It does this based on the information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but it means that things not shared won't be there, so no slide shows, books or calendars, for example - but it should recover all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places.

Because this process creates a completely new library and does not change your old, it is non-destructive, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can simply go back to your old.

  • Why the latest version of Firefox freeze and require a Force Quit?

I use a MacBook Air, processor 1.8 GHz, 4 GB memory, OS X v10.9 (Mavericks) and Firefox v25.0.

9 out of 10 times when I close Firefox, it freezes and I have to do a Force Quit. Without rhyme or reason, ab 1 out of 10 times it closes as it should without a problem. This issue arose as a result of the latest update of Firefox.

NOTE: I had been using OS X Mavericks with Firefox without any problems before the latest update of Firefox, so I don't think it's the Mavericks is the problem.

I thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

It is most likely a problem of Add on.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

The report please come back shortly.

I moved my iPhoto on an external hard drive.

Did you move the iPhoto library for the external hard drive or the iPhoto application, or both?

How is formatted the external hard drive? Is the file system on the drive Mac OS extended (journaled) or other system files?  Is the drive directly connected by USB or similar, or is it a SIN?

I don't understand - if you force quit smoking, launches the application, or you can not force it quit?

IPhoto is suspended without doing anything, when you launch?

What version of iPhoto does? And what version of Mac OS X?

  • Is ⌥⌘⎋ identical to an icon in the Dock to Force Quit Quit Force?

It seems that force them to leave the dock is different from ⌥⌘⎋ force quit. Is this true?

There is a difference of "Exit" and "force quit."

Quit smoking: It's the same by choosing File > exit in an application. The process ends when it is safe to do so. If smoking process could result in a loss of data or interfere with another application, the process is not to quit. In addition, if you are not the administrator will be asked the Admin password.

Force Quit: The process ends immediately. If the process has files open, you can lose data. If the process is used by other applications or processes, these applications or process might encounter problems.

If what you are smoking said "Force quit", it means that it as described above.

  • not to force quit, can not control, ctrl, esc

Sorry not my macbook right now so I have to get the specifications on that a little later.

But recently some programs block and freeze. I can't force them to leave their, I can't press command, Ctrl, esc to bring up the menu force quit. I can always hover around office and docking station, but impossible to open new applications or programs. I can command-tab to other open programs, but they don't work very well. Get a lot of ball rotation range then I finally to make a difficult stop (hold the power button / stop). Seems to happen in several programs (chrome, Word, wine).

After the hard reset when I open the viewfinder upwards I notice apps kind of jump around as new is added, and the icons of take a while to load correctly.

I have about 11 GB of disk space free and checked and repaired my permissions of the drive, it seemed to help some. Mainly in that everything works a bit more before, but some app I'm in freezes then goes to lock up everything computer, I am trying to close.

You can reset the SMC and the NVRAM and try again?
