Is satellite P870 - card WLAN 802.11n 5 GHz?

I just bought a 2870 B DSL modem router wireless that supports the 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz.I set up both a 2.4 and 5.0 wireless systems, the old Toshiba P870 of one month running W7 (64-bit) can see and connect to the 2.4 Ghz network but can not see the 5.0 Ghz network.

So the Realtek RTL 8723AE supports 5 Ghz? If so, what should I do for the Toshiba P870 or wireless modem to communicate to 5.0 Ghz?

I tried the Realtek site, but they don't seem to have any information on the 8723.

Thanks in advance.

Can you please post exact phone model number and name of the model?

    Hello

I have the WAP321 to boost my wifi at home but I only managed to set up a stable wifi connection on 802.11n 5 GHz.

Not all of my devices that support the 802.11n 5 GHz only a limited number of devices can connect. For example my iphone 4/4s does not connect.

I think I'll have interferences of neighbor wifi AP but it must me a way to measure the field strength and determine a Setup program that will give me a good wifi signal on the tape 20GHz.

Someone at - it suggestions to solve this problem.

    Kind regards

Hi Andre, you can install a program called INSSIDER made by Metageek. It can tell you about the interference and strength, etc.. It's a free program.

The Iphone 4S doesn't have a capacity of 5 GHZ.

  • Satellite Pro A200-16YT - update wireless adapter card for 802.11n

Satellite Pro A200-16YT (PSAE1E) with Windows XP Professional SP3 from the East.
I tried to increase my existing 54 Mbps wireless network speed by replacing the Atheros AR5007-EG existing with 802.11n 802.11a/b/g more quick adapter.

The Atheros driver is v9.2.0.439 (08/04/2011) it's later. I tried to install an Azurewave AR5BXB72 (Atheros AR5008) as a substitute, but without success. As well as trying the standard Windows wireless configuration, I used the Atheros Client Utility (ACU) which confirms that the card and the driver are installed and activated, but the radio does not, so no there is no association/connection to the wireless network!

Reinstall the original AR5007 works without any problem. If someone experienced similar problems or can offer a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

Not sure about this Wlan card but I read in the forum that some people had similar problems, allowing the new card Wlan.

    Check this thread for example:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=253505

It seems that the problem is related to the assignment of the WLan card pins.

  • Satellite L650 - what is the maximum rate of WLan 802.11n?

    Hello!

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L650-11th with broadcom wireless card.

The driver installed is version 5.60.48.35, dated dated 21/01/2010, which looks like the most recent available at Toshiba.

However, Windows 7 indicates a rate of connection of only 65Mbps.
With an another Toshiba that I have, with an Atheros chipset, I get 135Mbps.

The broadcom 802.11n only does support 20 MHz channels?
Is it possible to configure it to use the 40 MHz channels?
    How?

In addition, the network search, I found a broadcom WiFi driver in HP site with version 5.100.82.130 (May 25, 2012).
It would help to install this driver, or would it be a bad idea?

    Thank you

    Hello

The wireless network card supports 802.11 B G N standard

    You should read this info:

+ Can use the 5 GHz on the wireless network card in the standard WiFi "n". +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0502VM0000R01.htm

Usually, the standard 802.11 N standard supports 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz but 5 GHz are supported only if the WLan card would also support a standard 802.11.
802.11 is not supported, the 802.11 standard operating at 2.4 Ghz

Thank you for your time and your help.

    Hi mpw101,

I understand that you get an automatic update that indicates that you must install the software driver for your Ralink Wireless LAN card, and I would be happy to help you!

For your computer, the most up-to-date Ralink Wireless Network Controller Driver is labeled sp58084.exe. I spoke with Dunidar on this subject, and he referred me to a previous post that you created on your network card. That being said, if you update is always at the SP62055.exe, please ignore this update as it is a business unit.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello

Your laptop probably supports the 802.11n standard. Intel 5100 a/b/g/n is probably the best option. Is the part number: 480985-001. See page 32 in this manual for more compatible chips:

Yes. 802.11 antenna Wlan N standard needs three sons.
Maybe the L300 has been only equipped with antenna two sons which is ok if you use wireless network cards that support 802.11 A, B or G standard.

If eventually you can use the card 802.11 N WLan miniPCI due to the antenna of son tree is not available.

  • Satellite A30 - card WLAN Compatible

    Hello.
Would be the Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card - 802.11a/b/g (number PA3298U-1MPC) to be compatible with the satellite a30. In the compatibility list it mentions only the pros of the satellite, the a30 is compatible with other mini-pci cards, so I don't see why it would not be with this one.

    Thanksx

I agree with you but if you want you can contact the Service partner. I'm sure they can confirm that there is not much difference between these two units.

    Toshiba Hi community.

First of all, I apologize for my bad English, but I only speak Spanish...

I have a Toshiba Satellite P755-S5278 with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x 64, this model of laptop have a Realtek RTL8188CE who support standards b/g/n, the map search 'b' and 'g' correctly, networks but can't find network "n".
    Recently, I updated the driver to the latest version available on [Realtek.com | http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level= 5 & Conn = 4 & ProdID = 272 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & nloads Dow = true #RTL8188CE]

the driver version is 1005.24.0712.2011 released on 7/27/2011 and the problem continues...

I thank you if any people can help me to solve the problem.

From the Panel open Device Manager and expand network adapters. Right click on the Realtek Wireless Lan and select Properties. Click the Advanced tab and wireless Mode must be set in IEEE 802. 1 b/g/n. If it is set to 802.1 b/g, then this is the solution.

Some research on the Lenovo Web site, I found a hardware compatibility list which is updated until 2014 (the name of the file is:540_fru_bom_20140108.pdft).

I wanted to know if this is true, and if there are other 802.11ac best of Intel compatible wireless cards and the number of RUF for T540p.

    It's a recent document:

    .. .to from this page

Wireless devices have unique IDS, they are stored in the BIOS. "Peripheral wireless + laptop" combination are in before the laptop sertified is offered on the market. It is a very expensive process. Thus, the number of specific portable wireless devices supported is updated very rarely. New wifi devices (Intel 7265 based on) have begun to use for laptops Lenovo Broadwell line.

We just got the upgrade Virgin 100Meg and want to get a Superhub 2 with dual channel to run the upgrade.

Currently on a Superhub that gives only 50Mbyte connection.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Theoretically, it should be possible to replace the WiFi card and use another as the laptop supports a standard mini PCI WLan module is connected to the mini PCI interface.

But the question is: BIOS recognize and manage the new module?
To be honest; I put t know because the manufacturers of portable don t provide details about the BIOS support.

It is possible that you can use the new module of A/N WLan 802.11 (5 GHz is supported by 802.11 A / 802.11 N supports 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz standard) but that's just a guess.

  • Satellite L650 PSK1JA - WLAN not turn market / unable to install WLAN

Can someone help with my problem here? I tried for three days straight and still can't find a solution.

My laptop Satelite L650 PSK1JA-07E017 was not able to connect wireless recently.

I just reformatted my laptop today (due to other problems) and now I've discovered
    1. initially, my laptop toshiba (Out-of-box-state) has no WLAN driver installed, as the time I checked the network sharing Center, I can only see LAN (Atheros AR81 Ethernet). (How I connect wire all this time?)

2 so knowing this, I tried to download several WLAN (Atheros/Broadcom) drivers, however.
-The WLAN Atheros driver seem won't install. At the time wherever I run the Setup, nothing happened.
-Broadcom WLAN (802.11n) actually worked once, but at the moment where I restarted my laptop, Broadcom has disappeared from the * list * of network card

The two pilots have been taken site main support 'Download '.

I tried to find a solution, sometimes the broadcom WLAN works, sometimes it doesn't, at least until today.

Even if it works, it would connect to the network only for about 5 minutes or more, and after that, the connection would be "unable to connect".

    Now today

    1. the wireless network don't light even this (orange light). At the time where he blink is at the time wherever I turned on my computer, but after the screen TOSHIBA (the screen where you choose to go into your BIOS setting/BOOT), the light is turned off suddenly.

    2. and when the led is off, I cannot allow it, as there is no WLAN driver on my computer (heck, how the led lights?). So FN + F8 key is completely disabled.

    3. no matter how many times I install driver WLAN, it is either
-The installation program did nothing, no response, nothing happened (Atheros WLAN driver, each of them)
-The installer worked but will not appear as a network adapter.

    4. I saw a forum response speaks of TBSWireless which is located in the folder of Toshiba, I tried and there is no answer at all, nothing, nothing popp'ed upwards.

I used to think that it is caused by overheating, but apparently, I don't think that it is the cause more (as my laptop is totally cold right now)

This problem happened the first time a year ago, but never appear again until this year. Normally it is just reseting network card and it's all fixed. However, because now I have no WLAN driver (where my connection is a box with the Red Cross) there is nothing I can do. I can't install it, or I can't do a thing about it.

If there is something I need to install everything first (before installing the driver WLAN) can anyone an overview which for me?

and apparently my warranty expired last year some time so I can not really ask Toshiba to fix it (unless I pay)

What happens with the troubleshooter? I guess who got no help when executing that.

You shouldn't VAP for function keys to work properly?
