Update on to the card WLAN 802.11ac wireless T540p

I have a ThinkPad T540p and model 20BFA1R5IX series R9xxxxx, purchased in Italy.
I want to update the network card with one that supports ac 802.11 wireless.
Some research on the Lenovo Web site, I found a hardware compatibility list which is updated until 2014 (the name of the file is:540_fru_bom_20140108.pdft).
This list indicates that the card "Intel Wilkins Peak 2 7260 2 * 2 + BT4.0 11ac m2 card Wake", which has the FRU 04 x 6007 must be compatible with my T540p.
I wanted to know if this is true, and if there are other 802.11ac best of Intel compatible wireless cards and the number of RUF for T540p.
Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

Fabrizio

Wireless devices have unique IDS, they are stored in the BIOS. "Peripheral wireless + laptop" combination are in before the laptop sertified is offered on the market. It is a very expensive process. Thus, the number of specific portable wireless devices supported is updated very rarely. New wifi devices (Intel 7265 based on) have begun to use for laptops Lenovo Broadwell line.

  • HP Elitebook 8470p: possible upgrade to Intel AC 7260 802.11ac wireless? HP Elitebook 8470p

I want to improve the wireless card on the 8470 p, and I read that HP has whitelisted some Wi - Fi cards, so only those approved by HP may really work

Now the 8470p is released in 2010 / 2011 (?) - some time then anyway and 802.11ac wasn't really one thing in 2011 (at least not outside the offices of the IEEE)

I found this on the interwebs:

    http://Forum.techinferno.com/HP-business-class-notebooks/6691-installing-wireless-card-Intel-AC-7260...

And this person implies that it would be possible to type in a 802.11ac wireless adapter and it would only work? Thought ID ask the official HP forums, because it's a HP product!

    Thank you

EDIT: The Solution is wrong. See jlong pos

No AC adapters will not work. Only wifi cards that are on the whitelist, that is those in the manual and only ref HP versions of those.

The Intel cards are limited to the Ref. HP versions contrary to the statements of the Wicki guy. There are a few options of 5 GHz, but not 802.11ac cards. Sometimes the cards that are not in the manual will work somehow and I know there is a 7260N that many people confuse for the 7260ac card. I know that the 7260AC will NOT work because we had messages before people here who have tried, but it would not shock me if a 7260N card would work. Cannot promise, however. It is largely a guessing game since the actual whitelist itself has never been made public.

  • What are the cards wlan 11ac are compatible with 15 Pavilion ab165US (n5R42UA)

I have the 15 Pavilion ab165US which comes with a realtek rtl8723be 11 b/g/n + 4.0 blue tooth.  I want the wlan to 11ac, however there is no not found repair on this model, and the HP technical support has been totally unable to answer this question (I know how to access and replace the wlan).  All I'm looking for is what wlan wireless + blue tooth 11ac cards are compatible.

Yes. 802.11 antenna Wlan N standard needs three sons.
Maybe the L300 has been only equipped with antenna two sons which is ok if you use wireless network cards that support 802.11 A, B or G standard.

If eventually you can use the card 802.11 N WLan miniPCI due to the antenna of son tree is not available.

  • Installation of WLAN 802.11ac VST

My company recently purchased a VST Instrument of SMU-5644R without buying software or licenses!

I realized with the help of support NI AE s which, in my view, the requirements are to some 802.11ac measures with the VST.

    LabVIEW 2012 development suite

    Toolkit Spectral Measurements

    Modulation Toolkit

    WLAN Measurement Suite V4.0

I expect to have all the software and licenses I need in the coming days.

I have a number of questions remaining on the installation and configuration associated with this 802.11ac measurement solution that I really wish to get help with people NOR or any other people who have been through it already.

    1. do I also a FlexRIO as SMU-7965R module for basic 802.11ac generation and analysis or this card is not required unless I need of channel modeling or other custom work?  I have in fact already of this material but do not know if his need and it is not quite clear to me exactly when I need to use it.

    2. is there a process I should follow [or anyone can propose a] to ensure that I can get all this material and to work together without too much wheel spin?

    3. are there examples of LabVIEW to take a measurement of CCRP with the VST?  Have not found any.

    4. How can I configure the routing of détente between FlexRIO and VST module?  Had some trouble getting a few VST LabVIEW base for work and did not understand the explanation. The summary of message says error "the example uses paths PXI trigger for FPGA i/o, that these lines must be routed to the VST" he continued by saying that this range can be made to the MAX.  I've messed around with the routing, but could not get the error message disappears.

Thanks for any help or advice, you can provide,

  • HP support assistant - update card Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN April 23, 2014

    My HP computer:

    Product name: p6 - 2220t

    Product number: B3F79AV #ABA

My Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN card:

    oem230.INF:RALink.NTAMD64.6.1:NDIS61_RT3900E_C1. NDI:5.0.9.0ci\ven_1814 & dev_5390 & subsys_f0511814

    My OS:

    Windows 7 64-bit sp1

The current version of the driver on my wireless LAN card Ralink is 5.0.9.0.  HPSA now tells me that there is a version 5.0.33.1Ap1 update.

Last AS HPSA said that there is an update, it was bad and created problems. See http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-Software-Recovery/HP-Support-Asistant-Ralink-...

Does anyone know if HPSA sends the correct update this time?  I would like to learn more about this until I followed the recommendation to download and install it.  Must what problems/bugs or security issues correct?

Thank you for your time and your help.

    Hi mpw101,

I understand that you get an automatic update that indicates that you must install the software driver for your Ralink Wireless LAN card, and I would be happy to help you!

For your computer, the most up-to-date Ralink Wireless Network Controller Driver is labeled sp58084.exe. I spoke with Dunidar on this subject, and he referred me to a previous post that you created on your network card. That being said, if you update is always at the SP62055.exe, please ignore this update as it is a business unit.

    I hope this helps!

  • Select the card for Inspiron 1200 wireless

I'm puzzled to the range of choices that are available to me for a wireless card for my laptop Inspiron 1200.

I don't have a home network and will use the card to access the internet only when they travel.  Is no longer, I travel frequently so don't want to invest a lot of dollars.  I can't distinguish, in advertisements, the real differences between models in the range $20-30 and those of the renage $ 50 $à 90.

I look forward to suggestions, especially infrequent travellers.

  • Massive memory leak on the driver for the card WLAN (BCMWLTRY. (EXE)

I upgraded my laptop Dell XPS M1530 Window 7 and met a memory leak that makes my OS unusable within a few hours despite the 4 GB of RAM. I "lose" almost 1 MB of RAM every two seconds. After doing some research on Google, I discovered that the source of this huge leak is the bcmwltry.exe that is associated with the Dell Wireless WLAN Card network controller.

I use version 5.10.38.30 of this executable that came with this laptop for several months, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 x.

To illustrate the leak, open Windows Task Manager.
    Click the process tab
Check the box "Show processes from all users" below.
Under the view menu, click Select columns, and then select the options of memory and Page faults.
Click OK to see the new columns, and then click Page defaults to sort processes by page faults.

For all my programs, the number of page faults is close to zero and or static, except bcmwltry.exe which has some 10 000 + faults per SECOND! There is certainly a huge memory allocation problem which is the cause of out of control. Currently there are over 14 million vulnerabilities having only generated this .exe about 15 minutes ago. Wowsers.

OEM02MON.exe associated with the on-line Dell! Webcam Control Board also seems to have a similar problem.

Want an immediate resolution. Restarting does not help, and that these problems occur in the absence of all other running applications.

    Thanks in advance,
    Evan

  • Is satellite P870 - card WLAN 802.11n 5 GHz?

I just bought a 2870 B DSL modem router wireless that supports the 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz.I set up both a 2.4 and 5.0 wireless systems, the old Toshiba P870 of one month running W7 (64-bit) can see and connect to the 2.4 Ghz network but can not see the 5.0 Ghz network.

So the Realtek RTL 8723AE supports 5 Ghz? If so, what should I do for the Toshiba P870 or wireless modem to communicate to 5.0 Ghz?

I tried the Realtek site, but they don't seem to have any information on the 8723.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you please post exact phone model number and name of the model?

  • Card Ralink 802.11 wireless b/g/n "disconnected."

I recently purchased an wireless 802.11b/g/n PCIe x 1 Ralink card and inserted into my HP dc5800 pc running Widows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.  Device Manager recognizes it and says it works and the utility of the wireless card can see the different available wireless networks, but the Ralink icon in the task bar has a red line through it and it says it is disconnected.  It will connect to any wireless network.  I reinstalled the software, rebooted the router (Linksys Wireless 2.4 G GB) and downloaded the latest driver for it (3.1.10.0), it still does not work properly and remains "disconnected".  This device will still work with this version of Windows? Any ideas?

    Hello

    1. are you able to connect to the network wireless using the wireless integrated Windows 7?

Uninstall the Ralink wireless card utility and try to use the Windows 7 default wireless network and check if it helps.

    Uninstall or change a program

  • Broadcom 802.11ac NIC drivers

Hi, I think the drivers for my network adapter could be updated and I am unable to find anywhere to download the drivers, anyone would be able to direct me to where I can download the drivers for the NIC Broadcom 802.11ac found in my Alienware Laptop, 18, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Current driver;

Network card: 802.11ac Broadcom network adapter

    Driver version: 6.30.95.48

    Driver date: 03/05/2013

    Thanks, Depo.

Hi, I called Dell and had them replace the internal card ac in my system - questions of micro studder have since disappeared. Note that I have extended overnight guaranteed in the House supports so it was a miracle... If I had to send your device I would be pretty ticked... Good luck. I proved that it was the internal card (even when talking to dell technicians) based on the fax that my external USB wireless card has worked flawlessly in the same games, while the ac adapter has been disabled.

  • Airport Extreme 802.11ac - I have a defective router again?

    Dear Apple friends,

I reduced a problem with my Airport Extreme 802.11ac wireless router which I hope someone can shed some light on.

    Things I've tried:

    • Hard reset
    • Factory full reset w. of new settings.
    • Two different Apple ID (account iCloud)
    • Connection via the devices iOS (iPhone and iPad, both on v9.3.4)
    • 7.7.3 downgrade (problem).
    • New upgrade to 7.7.7 (problem).

    That is the problem.

If I put a ID for 'Back to my Mac' Apple Airport utility > basic Station... updated and restart the router...

.. .the router will not appear in Airport utility again unless I connect to it directly via IP.

A Wi - Fi connection works fine but I cannot access the airport, or whatever it be connected until I have remove the back to my Mac (Apple ID) of Airport utility references.

This router is a replacement from the Apple Store for a faulty Airport Extreme 802.11ac, who died after a few months.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. I think again that router to Apple, but before you make the trek down there, I would be a little sure that this isn't just a bug or a problem on the end of Apple.

    Thank you, in advance.

No, you don't do anything wrong. This problem has been reported several times recently and the only 'solution' at this stage is to disable Back to My Mac on your AirPort base station, until Apple has a chance to solve this problem.

  • Can Portege 4000 - I upgrade card WLAN Draft N?

I finally decided to settle with XP and not 2000. While the performance is slightly slower, support will be better.

Noticed that the map internal wireless 802. 11 b, which is slow. Can it be replaced by a newer version (n or g?) or are there limits to the motherboard? Safer and more advisable to buy an external wireless card. This can go up to g n or alone?

Will also need to buy a USB 2.0 pc card, since it is only USB 1.1.

    Hello

You cannot use Draft N because N 2-wire antenna WLan 802.11 needs.
The old WiFi standards use 2 antenna cables and I guess this good old classic has been equipped with antenna WLan 3 son.

Only the standard WLan 802.11 G is therefore theoretically possible.

As far as I know, you need a Wlan card miniPCI 802.11 standard.
    So glasses for some options.

The connection on my wifi card intel pro/wireless 2200BG for my qosmio F20 - 136 is unstable and keeps the Cup down to 1mbs.
    Can anyone help?

I read a lot of suggestions concerning the question of WLan Intel 2200BG and to be honest, for the most part a WLan driver update should help to address these issues.

I recommend to visit the Intel driver page and to download the Intel WLan driver for wireless Intel 2200BG card!

Then, remove the old WLan driver and install the most recent!
