  Are you worried as me on camera cable, Kit (USB OTG) which sticks to your Xoom, just waiting to be broken? Well, I traveled the four corners of the globe and found a square suitable OTG cable that works just as well without risk of damage. Yes, I tested these cables with the HID devices (keyboard, mouse and a digital camera) and they work perfectly with the Xoom. Unfortunately the portfolio will not close with these cables attached (not enough), but if you have a hole in your case, these keep the dongle or cord next to the Xoom while in the case.

  I used my new found friend USB OTG tonight at Panera Bread sitting in a booth (see photo below), who is much more beautiful than upset with a shot from the upper cable!

  It seems that NI-VISA 5.3 does not support USB 3.0 devices. When I try to use the driver Wizard to create a driver for a USB 3.0 device, I get the error "ERROR-1073807178: device descriptor error - value not valid bMaxPacketSize0 (must be set to 8, 16, 32, or 64 bytes). I noticed that the unit has been giving wMaxPacketSize0 of 512 (2 ^ 9). But the driver Wizard treats the value 9. So I think that Assistant driver does not support USB 3.0 devices. If someone could confirm this?

  Unfortunately, USB 3.0 is not officially supported in VISA 5.3 when you use VISA Driver Wizard.

  A non-official solution is to work around the "information in the descriptor' by selecting 'Other' in the list of devices. You will need to manually enter the 'USB manufacturer ID (vendor ID)' and 'type USB (Product ID) Code. You will then need to find your driver in Windows Device Manager, right click and select "update driver software". This, however, is not a workaround solution guaranteed as NI-VISA 5.3 is not officially compatible USB 3.0.

  I used the DAQmxWriteDigitalLines function.

  Initially, I tried with the parameter: DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines and created the 1 task for all lines. But the param. writeArray (which is of type Byte) accepts - VB - only the values 0 or 1 (it should be between 0 and 255) i.e.:

  For example, when I assign Val. 2 (which equals '00000010' in binary), I get the following error message:

  If I assigned the values 0 or 1 to ByteArray, then everything is OK, except that I can activate the line 1 (when ByteArray = 1)

  For example, instead of using the param. DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines, I used DAQmx_Val_ChanPerLine and I created 4 spots - 1 for each of the 4 lines that I use to connect to the switches.

  In this way, I only need to use 0 (OFF) or 1 (ENABLED) for each line - and it works.

  The issue should be considered to be resolved.

I know with other systems that I needed something - update to allow the faster USB speed operations - but I've scanned all the drivers and tried without success.   If you need USB 2.0, you can get a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card.

  I just use a regular USB cable to connect to windows computers, PC acts as a master. Near as I can tell you need a cable OTG to create another connection master / slave for example to connect two PCs.

  Different load USB and Windows devices, I've seen require USB data lines to be shorted at least momentarily to switch to a full charge to maintenance charge.
