  Hi, we have computers portable windows 7 on a corporate domain which primarily use a desktop lan connection. We have a user based certificate that is registered automatically through Group Policy, to allow wireless access, and another group strategy that puts in place the wireless itself.

  The question we have is: LAN/WLAN switch is enabled in the BIOS.

  User can start and open a session with or without the LAN cable and wireless connections automatically connects them (if no LAN cable not inserted) wireless access point

  Once connected (if started with inserted LAN cable), when the LAN cable is removed, the wireless connection will automatically connect AP (specified by Group Policy).

  If the user then taken LAN cable back in, (after returning from meetings etc...), it connects to the wired LAN fine.

  If the user removes the LAN cable once again, (another meeting etc.) the wireless connection is not automatically connect again.

  The user can open the connections wireless at this point and manually connect to the access point.

  The opposite occurs if the user starts with no LAN cable it inserts after the start and then he removes, the wireless connection does it not connect automatically.

  "Connect automatically when this network is in range" is enabled in group policy

  IPv6 is disabled on the wireless card

  I tried to delete the contents of the Interfaces file in the program data\microsoft\WLANSvc\profiles

  WLAN/LAN switching works fine every time.

  Hey guys,.

  I just bought a refurbished Sansa View which has the latest firmware on it. I logged on to the computer and selected "view in the folder. I downloaded some stuff and disconnected.

  Now, whenever I try to connect it again, the computer or the Sansa Connect. The Sansa start loading, but the 'Sync' screen does not appear on it. The computer shows nothing and the device does not appear in Device Manager or my computer as it did the first time. If I look through the USB devices in Device Manager I see a device using the power, but that's all.

  I tried the "MSC Mode" setting in the Sansa View settings, but it is not always connect. Don't hold.<" while="">

  I use Windows XP, SP3.

  Nevermind, apparently, you need to do to reset once changed the settings in MSC mode on the player. It works fine now!

When I tried to set up ICS again, I couldn't connect to the Internet by using ICS. After this failure, I tried to configure the properties of TC/IPv4 (IP, gateway by default, etc.) manually, but I still couldn't run.  I am able to access the shared host PC and client files. It seems to me that some service essential to the proper functioning of the ICS may be disabled in some way, but it's just speculation, as I have no evidence of such a service. Help would be most appreciated.

  I tried this before using a laptop to share internet with my 360.  problem is there was Nat on the router, and it is in contradiction with the ics.

  Anyway long story short I did some research on the Internet and discovered that if you're behind a router ICS will be confllict with her, as ICS also does routing. a much better option is to "bridge the conections ' on the laptop.

  1 when was the last time it was working fine?

  2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  3. have you anythird party network or Wireless Manager software installed on the computer?

  If you have any third-party network or Manager software installed on the computer wireless, I would say that you uninstall and check if the problem persists.

  If you don't have such software installed then I would suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it works.

  It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  I am running Win XP Pro on fusion 3.1.1 on a macbook pro with a french keyboard (AZERTY).

  Try this, IIRC, so this was the place to correct.

  Go to: Control Panel > regional and Language Options > Advanced tab > choose your language for non-Unicode programs AND especially:

  Check the box that says: "apply all settings to the current user account and to the default user profile.

  Then click OK

• Problem by establishing an Ethernet connection to the internet

  I recently acquired a new router and who have implemented wireless completely ok, I tried to connect a laptop via the router to connect in this way and have encountered a problem that I can't seem to work through.

  When the (new) ethernet cable is plugged to laptop to the router, it appears as an active network called "Schooner, network and Public network" and has a red cross between it and 'Internet access'.

  I have tried power cycling the two devices, reset the default values on the router, but without result.

  I cannot find anywhere where I can change the location of 'Public' to 'home' network I thought this could be the cause of the problem (I think the first time I plugged it in I mislabeled it!).

  All advice welcome...

  When I go to 'active networks', the 'unidentified network' which is the probem a 'public network' in black not blue, which means there is no facility to select and change. It's my problem.

  It was delivered today so I started to put in place. It started fine, let me regional selection and networking options, and then it restarted and...
  I saw console message saying "a disk read error occurred...". "that indicates a failure of the HARD drive.

  I'm afraid, if the disk HARD is not recognized in the BIOS, that means HARD drive failure and you will not be able to recover it with the help and recovery disk or using recovery disc HARD m.
