• X220t Windows 8 touch (not pen) issues - actions / movies does not

  All,

  I did a clean install of Windows 8 on a X220t.  Since the initial start, using a finger on the touch screen worked correctly.  You might drag on the edges, show the charms, arrange windows, scrolling, etc.  You might even see microsoft faint "tracer", following the movement of your finger on the screen.

  Once I installed the windows updates and updated system Thinkvantage, the possibility for the acts suddenly disappeared.  Now, you can use your finger to move the cursor of the mouse around, but gestures don't work.   You use the stylus for input, you can however make the sweeping gestures.  What gives?  I uninstalled all drivers I could find, but it has not solved the problem.  I uninstalled all HID devices and let them detect again and still same.

  Then I tried the wacom specific windows 7 drivers, windows drivers 8 and lenovo windows 7 drivers and are slow to return it works correctly with the help of the finger.

  Under Tablet and PC settings, it shows 'pen and touch support limited '.   I really want to start from scratch and go by driver to know that which blitzed it or I'll get a finger gesture to teach my own windows. :-)

  PROBLEM SOLVED:

  I used a copy of Windows 8 Pro system manufacturer.  Apparently, this version does not support multitouch on devices if the drivers of contact are not Microsoft Certified.

  I bought a windows key "retail" Pro 8, made a re-activation of the key system, does not have one thing or move any software, just rebooted and now hop, everything works fine.

• 3 related issues: slow movement; the photos are all from the first image; and no sound from the soundtrack to the DVD downloaded.

  I put a DVD in my computer. It plays fine in Windows Media Player. When I transfer to Windows Movie Maker Live, three things happen: 1) the thumbnails are all the same - the first image. (2) the movement is slow. I tried it accelerates, but it is simply not the movement in real time - either too slow or too fast. (3) the soundtrack plays for a fraction of a second.

  What is the problem and how to fix it?

  I converted DVD to WMV format. This fixes the movement of the image and I can hear the music (not quite synchronized), however the thumbnails are still just the first image. In addition, every single feature that I blow (editing, effects, forwards, etc.) the picture freezes and yet the soundtrack plays again.

  Since it was a DVD... I guess it's a big project
  and the gel could be due to a lack of system resources.
  If you wait it can dissipate.

  Some video converters are better than others... Freemake
  maybe worth a try.

  It is also possible that your video driver may need an update.

• Issue of Move-VM functionality

  I wrote a script that includes all virtual machines in a host cluster to maximize usable space. The script uses the Move-VM to move machines to their new data warehouses.

  My question revolves around how Move-VM manages the VMs who drive on several data stores.
  My assumption is that he tries to put all the files associated with this VM together on the new store original data store or data without worrying.
  In other words, a virtual machine that was spread over 3 different data store would then appear on the unique position of data store migration.

  Yes, that's correct.

  The Move-VM cmdlet allows only 1 store the parameter of data store data.

  You can of course use the cmdlet Set - hard drive after the move, move individual VMDK.

  But of course, this means that some VMDK will be moved twice

  If you want to move with a separate destination by VMDK, go for the RelocateVM_Task method.

  Hi all

  I think it's probably down to my inexperience with DreamWeaver CS4...

  I am attaching the files I work with.

  I want to move the main element of the menu buttons / image below it to the top of the screen, I little then a flash swf in its current location file.

  I can't for the life of understand me how to move items / area towards the top of the page - can someone please help me?

  In addition, it seems much nicer and more orderly in dreamweaver that when she does when I spotted in IE or Chrome and ideas why?

  You don't look like a novice... we once all novices.

  If you don't want that extra padding above, go to your style sheet and replace 50px by 0. in both places I mentioned.

  When you look at your page in Code view, you will find a section that resembles the capture, I in the first quote window. The Red "BOLD" part is what you have to type, just in the place, I said.

  The second quotation, that's what you add in your stylesheet. This is the file ending in .css. You can just open and edit.

  Don't worry also the "BOLD" and red, I only did that for it to stand out and be obvious to you.

• issue of movement base file?

  I'm on DW CS4.  A very simple question about moving file that I can't solve.  In the files on the right panel, I created a folder.  In this case, I saved a bunch of files with the same name but a different number after them.  When I go in the folder to access any of the files that they never stay in numerical order I've assigned to them.  I try and drag the files numbered upwards or downwards to get them back in numerical order, but it doesn't seem to work.  Can anyone explain it please this fundamental step in the management of files to get the files to the line where I want that they in the category of the file right?  Thanks for your time.

  In addition to sorting when using numbers as part of the file name, you must make sure that you have at least two figures if you're going to need more than ten records. Start numbering with 01, 02, 03, 04 and so on. If this is not the case, the files will sort as follows:

  File1

  deposer10

  File2

  file20

  file21

  file3

  file32

  file4

  And if you have more than a hundred, you will need to start with 001.

• Satellite 1805-S274 - RAM & MP4 movie playing question

  Hi people,

  I use an older Toshiba laptop, model indicated above with Win XP SP3 and 512 MB RAM. When I bought years ago (with Win 2 K installed), I could have sworn that he could make movies MP4.

  Today, even with all the updated drivers to the latest available (see below), MP4s and streaming video are very bad, because there's a hesitation every 2 to 4 seconds.

  Anyway to solve this problem so that I can watch steaming video?

  Second question. As I understand it, the max for this laptop RAM is 512 MB of SDRAM.
  What will happen if I traded one of the 256 as Meg sticks with a Meg SDRAM 512 stick?

  Added by Edit - what about the drivers, I check those out after posting above. Tried updating the Trident Cyber ALADDin P4 v6.4616221CD_SE_NP (update: 20/05/03), and now windows update finds a new player presumed, downloaded and installed. Restarted, check again the driver, and he still has the date of 30/05/03. Then an updated driver looking in c: Windows\System32. Driver updated again. Yet, he always has a date 30/05/03. Am a little confused by the system would be updated to a driver and then date the old driver.

  Does anyone have clues what happens?

  In regards to the update of the driver card graphic;
  Maybe you tried to update a driver version, which was already preinstalled on your system.
  Please note that the Date updated on the Toshiba page show you when the pilot was transferred to the page and not the version of the driver.

  With regard to the question of the RAM;
  If the laptop runs max 512 MB of RAM and if 2 banks of ram are available, then you can use max 256 MB in a bank a 512MB might not be compatible and the laptop will not turn on properly.

  With regard to the issue of movie MP4;
  Maybe you should install some codec packs. I installed the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. It contains all the necessary codecs in one package.

  Also try to play movies using different actors; for example the VLC Player.
  It is a small, free, player which is compatible with most files and standards!

  The last 3 days, Symantec has been advising me to find a risk of 'Backdoor.Bruet' and specifies the location of the file:

  The Inbox is a Thunderbird file I do not know how to access (except of course through Thunderbird).

  Symantec identifies and RECORDS the risk, but then the option LEAVE ALONE and remediation status is UNSUCCESSFUL - OWN RISK SECURITY FAILED. FAILED TO QUARANTINE.

  I was able to go up and down my 1000 emails and have not been able to find the guilty email, so not him have not yet deleted. I'm not wanting to remove the file from the Inbox, but am willing to try. I use IMAP, so the email function maybe too much on our mail server.

  Using a laptop HP Pavilion Dv6 PC, AMD A6 - 4400M with graphics card Radeon HD 2.7 GHz, Win 7 Home preium 64-bit SP1. This stop occurs ONLY when I use 3 devices usb devices simultaeously and it can't immediately. Sometimes it is an hour and it is sometimes several hours before, it crashes. Now, there is an advanced course that control all usb devices, if that makes a difference or not. • Difficulty to read minidump files

  Summer work computer crashing a lot lately.  I think that relatively new facility?  Computer us, anyway move me work and try to understand how use the windows to read files in dump posing more of a challenge than I expected.  I don't have a computer at home to do more research on how to do it and it's been almost a week now.  I'm not looking for someone debug this show so much as me how if possible.  I post a link to the .rar file and I'll post the error message I receive, I am using the command line: SRV * C:\symbols* http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols under the user and system variables, I in c:\Symbols folder (empty)

  First you must update asacpi.sys (yours is 2005) at least 2009

  Pre 2009 this driver version is a known cause of BSOD.

  Scroll to the utility category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for Windows XP/vista/windows 7 32 & 64-bit" (it is about 12 down).
  Download and install it.

  Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the file asacpi.sys is stamped 2009 or 2010 (not before).  If you are using Win 8 there are at least a 2012 version that is needed for this.  If you can't find it on the site of ASUS you can download using windows update.  Read about it here

  Hi guys,.

  I started recently affected by this above-mentioned BSOD. After some googling, I found that it is either because of various pilots or Logmein Hamachi. I don't have Hamachi installed, so the soul can little friendly (and irritable) take a look at these landfill sites and identify the driver at fault, please?

  The only recent hardware change is the video card. My 7850 was sent to warranty and got a 6950 as a loan card. I uninstalled the old drivers of catalyst Display Driver Uninstaller Guru3D then put in the latest stable version of game.amd.com help.

  Hello, I never tried to fix a BSoD for me so hoping that I can get through it.

  I use a desktop with Windows 7 Asus computer. PC configuration very standard which belongs to non-technical brother and I use it for the basic work of small business 2 days a week.  The only changes that I made recently are to renew my Kaspersky Internet Security license.

  For the past 2 weeks I got a BSoD error once per day. There is no consistency in what I'm doing at the time of the error, time of day etc that I've been able to think.

  Any help is appreciated with gratitude. If there is more information, I can provide to help determine the problem, please let me know.

• Trying to solve an intermediate BSOD

  I got BSOD every two days during the last 2 months... His was very inconvenient and cost me countless hours to redo the reports because of the failure, and spare not properly.

  Most of the time this BSOD occurs, or reasons why I believe that his happens is

  ALT + multiple labels of video game full screen, after many repetitive alt-tabs, windows prompts me to change the desktop settings to allow windows to run more smooth (change to windows classic style) after that this event would happen, some time after(hours perhaps) I asked with a BSOD.

  I have not experienced the BSOD unless my game is running, or after I have quit the game and return to the office, a few seconds later it ends with a BSOD.

  I felt that it was the related temperature, or accumulation of dust and I made sure to clean my PC and monitor my GPU time.

  Go to my dump files it all started on 25/08/2014... I downloaded the last 4 in the hopes that you can help me

  First thing I would do is upgrade to Service Pack 1.  In itself, that can solve the problem.  If it does not please to find the underlying cause of driver verifier

  These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

  Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

  
  

  If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

  
  

  Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.
